This place is famous for serving pure Chinese items.... The ambience of the place was good and the interior nicely decorated.... Here you can get a large number of variety on Chinese items.... Food quality and quantity was really good.... Taste of the food were very much delicious..... Prices of the items were not too high.... Staffs were very polite and helpful.... Overall nice experience....

Food was very average in taste compared to Golden Joy and Kim ling. Ample parking space available. Space was over crowded on Saturday evening as expected but didn't like the ambient. Service also not at all good. Food was getting served pretty quickly but they are just anyhow dropping the dishes in table and getting disappear no serving provided by them.

The environment here is very good. And there is no comparison of the food market. As the country of food is more, the test of food is also excellent. There are plenty of seats to sit and eat here. You can also order alcohol here. But Saturday/Sunday is very crowded, so the food takes a little longer to be served. The behavior of the waiters here is also very good. Washroom/toilets are also available here.

Authentic Indo-Chinese food. Ample parking - a feature that very few places in the area boast about. Appetizers were more flavorful than the entrees, as is the case in most places. The fried chicken dishes were indistinguishable from each other - crispy fried chicken vs fried chicken in Szchewan sauce vs a third kind. Drums of Heaven were the best of what we ordered. Steamed chicken momos, mixed fried rice, and mixed Hakka noodles were a close second. Golden fried prawns were also pretty tasty with a satisfying crunch. They don’t have a bar - but can serve drinks straight out of a bottle (whiskey, rum, vodka, etc), and are willing to mix things together if you tell them how to (fresh lime soda + vodka).

I have visited this place so many times and always recommend others to visit as it's a place where you will get good food at the best prices. This is one of those place where the more people you go with the more you will enjoy.

Visited on 2nd Jan, the ambience is very well suited for a family dine in. Everything was very tidy. As for the food, we took Chicken SweetCorn Soup 3/5, Dragon Chicken 4/5, Crispy Chicken Shredded 4/5, Egg Chicken Hakka Noodles 3/5, Fung Chang Chicken 3/5, the noodles were a bit thicker for my taste and tasted grainy for some reason. The main problem was the time they took to serve, we had to wait for more than 40 minutes for getting the first two items after ordering, though not many people were there. Food is not cheap, but the portion makes up for it.

It is a typical tangra restaurant where the decor is not something you should think about. You should look at the cheap food that tastes good. Coming to the food - The mixed Thai Soup as well as the chilli pepper prawns are too good and definitely value for money. The main course was a bit disappointing. The American Chopsuey had a lot of cabbage and didnt taste that great. The Malaysian chicken was just dark soy sauce and the hot garlic chicken didn't quite feel like a properly made dish. The last time we visited we ordered the mixed fried rice and chilli chicken and that was good. So I suggest go for the simplest thing - they will not mess that up

Big Boss Restaurant is undoubtedly one the best in China Town. Its a perfect place to booze with your friends and enjoy a brunch in a relaxing and cosy mood. Food tastes awesome here. This restaurant offers a large interior with beautiful ambience. Waiters are also very polite. Highly recommended.

Definitely try it out if you plan on hosting a large number of friends or giving a treat. The quantity of food is huge! For a reasonable amount, there are a large variety of food offered on the menu. It's family orientated so children are welcome too. The alcohol prices are less, the appetizers are tasty and the staff is friendly.

The food was very good today. The problem with Chinatown is that they are not consistent with their food, but today maybe ten item selection was good or maybe its a good day. We ordered Mixed Thai soup 9/10 Prawn chips 6/10 Dragon chicken 9.5/10 Gravy noodles 9/10 Mixed fried rice 8/10 Hunan fish 8/10 In my personal opinion, the fish item maybe skipped If you're a fish lover, then go to Kafulok, in Chinatown their fish is amazing. But overall Big boss stood its ground as the top 2 restaurants in Chinatown, along with Beijing.

The place has a cool ambience. The biggest restaurant among the Tangra Chinese restaurants. The location is a bit difficult, the best option to reach there with your own car or else with App Cabs. The interior decoration is good and it's a huge family restaurant and also a pocket friendly one! Food is very tasty. You'll get the authentic Chinese over here. In starters we had Tangy Shredded Chicken which is very tasty and Fried Spring Chicken, which is so so. Egg Fried Meifoon is really good and they serve in large quantity. Hunan Fish is a recommended item from the main course. But one small suggestion, if you want to enjoy the food in nice ambience then try to avoid Sunday evenings. It's too crowded on Sundays.

Authentic Chinese Cuisine, you will get great food with great ambience. In the time of the festival there may be long queues, so be prepared for that. They serve a huge quantity, so keep it in your mind. One can parcel the food if they are unable to eat completely. Once you place an order, after that they start preparation for that food. You will always get hot food. Prices are on the moderate side, but considering the quantity of the food price is fine. One full plate is sufficient to serve 4 people. I hope they continue this service with this quality in future too.

One of the finest Chinese restaurants we have ever visited. Though we received a lot of mixed reviews about this place , but it was worth going . They have a nice car parking facilities, waiting lobby , and also the place is very big. It has that old pattern cabin system to maintain the privacy . Now coming to the food, all the dishes( fish ,chicken, prawn) have half ( 6 pieces) and full ( 12 pieces ) plates facilities so that u can order according to your needs. Tastes are very good. The most recommended dishes are : golden prawn, dragon chicken , and hunan chicken. Apart from these we have also tried other dishes which are also delicious. I would recommend to visit early on weekends coz they recieve a huge rush during the actual lunch or dinner time. They also serve hard drinks. Over all if you are searching any place to hit with your family and friends Big Boss is a must visited place then.

Quite a big restaurant just inside China Town. Transport near this place is a bit difficult which becomes pretty scarce as evening approaches. The place is able to accomodate a big groups quite easily even if they don't have reservations done prior. Food is pretty great tasting but amount given is moderate. The staff is well behaved and helpful as well. A good place to go for big groups.

First off...love the fact that there is amply parking space. This is a rarily in restaurants in Tangra. Secondly, love the fact that there is a lift to go to the second floor where the restaurant is located! This alone is major plus point for my aged parents who has trouble with stairs. The restaurant space is huge with plenty of seating. Good menu options, which is at par with the other similar restaurants around. Food itself is tasty and the portions are big. Loved the Golden Fried prawns here. Great taste, but parents found the food bit oily. Service is good. The staff is attentive to your needs. Billing took longer than expected for me, but I assume it was a one-off case. On the whole, it is a place I would return and eat at again.

Recently visited this place for dinner which turned out to be good. All the items were of good taste. Dragon chicken is recommended. Although service was a bit slow but overall it's good restaurant in china town. Ample space for parking is available.

It's always hustling and bustling with foody Bengalis, so the service is definitely delayed, which is the reason I have rated it 4/5 since, it's something the management should think, in expanding the Kitchen to maintain the crowd and the waiting time. Overall when it comes to the food, nothing to say... Just too good 😊 Ambience is something which is normal, no one goes for Ambience in China Town, the food is something you will just love and definitely will linger along with you. Big Boss is a restaurant for authentic Chinese lovers. They've an amazing menu of fish and chicken. Appetizers and soups are to die for. Great ambiance for family and friends.

Well I have to give a 5 star rating owing to the combination of quality, quantity and great service. The prawns chips went very well with both the alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Lime soda had the exact pertinent portion of lime, salt, sweetness and soda. Crispy fish was exceptional as appetizer. Main course wise mixed rice noodles/meifoon was a big revelation in terms of quantity and it was equally savory.

I visited this restaurant for the first time with my family for dinner. The ambience is quite nice. Service is top notch. We have no complaints. The food quality was too good. Will visit soon.

The Chinese Dishes out there on the Menu are Delicious. I loved the Mixed Fried Rice and Schezwan Chili Chicken with Schezwan Sauce. Try their Prawn and Lobsters it’s worth the money and Chicken Drums of Heaven with the Schezwan Sauce❤️

Once open a time Big Boss was very good, but in present day it is ok type food. Cantonese noodles are good. Atmosphere is also good.

Big Boss Restaurant is one of the oldest and largest of China Town Kolkata. It has a huge parking area and restaurant area. The food here is really good and authentic china town taste. The quantity is really huge and price is also very much reasonable. Service was good and prompt. Is in a distance of few minutes from Topsia bus stand.

Good Indian Chinese cuisine available. The taste of the food is much better than the other restaurants in the area. If you are looking for an Indian-Chinese cuisine in Tangra's Chinatown, I would very definitely recommend this restaurant.

Nice place for a family or friend's dining. Two buildings inside the campus and quite spacious. As such, waiting chances are less. Parking is available till 1st floor. Delicious food with pretty good quantity, good ambiance, reasonable price and drinks available. The waiters don't attend properly and seems always in a hurry though. To end up, its a "paisa wasool restaurant cum bar".

One of the authentic & largest Chinese restaurant in kolkata, located in China town, Tangra...It has a huge parking area and restaurant area. We visited in last week, the day of Navami... The place was very crowded, we had to wait for quite a long time... Food quality was very good as always... Waiters are also very polite...Service was good but a little bit slow as the restaurant was full. Highly recommended.

The first thing I can say is that their food quality is very good and at a low price. Staff behavior is very good and helpful. We pack extra food if you can't eat it at no extra cost. This China Town in Kolkata is the only old place where you drink liquor and you can buy the bottle if you like it. Also if I have to say sitting space is good, washroom neat and clean, if you go with family, friends or alone you won't have any problem. What I have said is my observation or you can say my point of view. You may or may not like it.

Ambiance is good. For me, the dishes was average, not so mind blowing. Service may improve more. AC was not working as we were sweating little bit. Overall a budget friendly restaurant. You won't be so dissapointed.

It is quite good and one of the best China Town joints for some quality Chinese cuisine. Reasonably priced for both food and drinks, offers a variety of chinise dishes. Been there recently after a long time. Looked safe and unconcerning of the current pandemic.

Went out for a dinner here. Heard about this restaurant alot. It's located in Tangra, china town. It has got drinking accommodations as well. And normally a family restaurant. Good place to dine or lunch with family and friends but not suitable to have a drink. It's way much expensive. The food quality is very tasty and they provide in much quantity in a single dish. So 1 plate of noodles can be served to 2 persons easily. But the chilli chicken we had was Shanghai chilli chicken and it's no different from the chilli chickens served by the normal restaurants. No extraordinary, no spice. But it was boneless.

Food is quite good, we tried the Drums of Heaven, Pepper Garlic Fish and Schezwan Chicken and all were quite good. Liquor was served there and you can buy the entire bottle , which is economical if you are in a large group. They also have a liquor shop downstairs if you want to buy some for home. Parking space was ample. And the service and cleanliness was quite good.
