A must visit place. The starters were really awesome. Especially the chicken kabab which was so juicy. The mutton biriyani was also good. In dessert the Rabri was really good. Each and every dish was good. Even the welcome drink was also good. We had to wait for the starters to come. The staffs were polite. Overall a nice experience.

Having been at XII Zodiac for yesterday's Brunch, it was a pleasant experience. The place really looks good while, they are taking all measures of sanitization, to prevent spread of the virus. The brunch is priced at Rs.656 and provides a 7 to 8 course meal, including fish, chicken and mutton. You also have vegetarian options. There are 4 starters for the day, a soup, 6-8 items for main course, 2-3 types of veg and non veg salads and 5 types of desserts. The food is decent and I'd surely recommend you to try their desserts because they are really good, which is however subjected to change every now and then. For the price, this is a good option to try.

XII Zodiac has launched weekend special unlimited Lunch Buffet at only 656 bucks (inclusive of everything) from Friday to Sunday. Within this buffet, there are around 15-20 dishes, comprised of fish, chicken and mutton, and also there are various options in veg items. They are specialised on Chinese, Continental and North Indian cuisine. The welcome drink, i.e. a watermelon mocktail and the starters will be served on the table. Among the starters they have hakka fish, baked chicken strips, smoked paneer akbari tikka and Tom and Jerry. Among the starters, my favourite was hakka fish. Soft fish fillets tossed with onions and capsicum along with olive oil. My second favourite was baked chicken strips. The chicken pieces were cut into small, and marinated and then baked. Tom and Jerry was basically the preparation of honey chilli potato, which they named as Tom and Jerry. The smoked paneer akbari tikka had huge cuboids of paneer and the paneer was extremely soft and fluffy. They also have a live section for rolls and chats. I ordered a plate of papdi chat. The papdi was crispy topped with boiled chickpeas, potatoes and topped with yogurt, a sweet chutney, dhaniya and sev. It tasted like the authentic street style papdi chats. Then we had the egg-chicken roll. I will suggest you guys not to order too many rolls because it will occupy a lot of space in you stomach. The taste was no doubt good, buffet the rolls were too heavy. So have it, but small amount. Now jumping into the main course. The main course spread was huge. Starting with veg hakka noodles, steamed rice, corn pulao along with side dishes like dal sunehri, paneer pasenda, stir fried fish in Chinese celery, Gosht vindaloo, Awadhi murgh korma and many more. The awadhi murgh korma was my favorite, the white creamy gravy along with hot piping rice was the best. The mutton was also delicious, there was slight smokey smell in the mutton, but the taste and flavours of the gravy was beyond that. Chinese celery is a variety of celery which is edible, gives flavorful stalks. The stir fried fish was fused in that stalk. One can also have assorted Indian breads if they want to. Finally coming to the dessert section, there was not very huge list of desserts, but whatever was there, were the best ones. They had hot gulab jamun, coffee mousse, rasmalai, chocolate gulab jamun, rosogolla and many more. My favourite was the chocolate gulab jamun. This was something new that I had. A cold hemi gulab jamun, covered with chocolate. The Ambience was very cool and calm, the walls had graffiti with the signs of XII Zodiacs. The decor was very beautiful. The place was not very spacious, but was quite beautiful. Their hospitality was really appreciable. They were very humble and helpful. They are maintaining the hygiene protocols, all the staffs were wearing masks. So you guys can visit here without having any second thoughts.

The Durga Puja Menu 2021 has been launched at a price of 1096 per person and the buffet here is totally worth it. I can vouch for the food quality here. Starting from the starters to the desserts, it was all very mouth watering and delicious. The decor of the restaurant and the theme is the 12 zodiac signs. I went here for my birthday party in 2017. The place ambience is great. The buffet served was amazing and the service is beautiful. Starters were served on the table and the service was quick. You can also ask for modification, if you want to make it more spicy or less spicy. Main course does not have much options but still the food taste doesn't make you feel bad about the less options. Overall the place is a great thumbs up from my side.

XII Zodiac located in between Chinar park and CC2 at Newtown. The restaurant is at 2nd floor with parking space at ground floor. The place is very pleasant in terms of family and friends hangout. You can opt for buffet or ala carte menu and also a bar available in-house. The buffet is reasonable around 650, if you purchase it from near buy app. I would recommend others to avail this place. I celebrated my 25th Birthday with Fern Regency (XII Zodiac restaurant). According to zomato's review I went their but it was a mix of good and bad experience. The servers arranged a small birthday cake which really made me overwhelmed but coming to the buffet they really have a very less main course option in buffet which really disappointed me and didn't made me feel that the buffet was worth the price. As we went on weekend so the buffet was priced at 750+ as I remember. But will appreciate that the starters tasted good 👍

I have never reviewed a restaurant or its food before but I am doing it today because I know that good things have to be shared with everyone, so I have come to share this joy with you.The place is very beautiful and interesting and the hospitality of the staff there is incomparable in one word. Now let's talk about food. In a word, the food is just amazing. If anyone is looking for a good buffet in North Kolkata then you can go to this place without any hesitation. In terms of price, it is more expensive than ordinary restaurants so I will never call it pocket friendly.But yes, if there is no problem with the price, then you can go.

Well in word it was one of the worst experience i had. The service was terrible same with the food. We had to wait nearly 50 min for the food to be served,the dish wasnt cooked properly even the cold drink we had asked took 15min to be served.the staff behaviour too wasnt friendly. The best dining experience in Kolkata. The staff is courteous, professional, warm and welcoming. The food is delicious and fresh. The buffet here is an excellent gastronomic experience with a variety of dishes on the menu and an arrangement that invites all your senses to try each of them. The presentation is one of the best I've seen thus far. It doesn't hurt your pocket either. The ambience is good and the spacing between tables makes it easy to have a conversation and not feel disturbed. Overall there is no room for complaint but a plate full of compliments.

During my stay at The Fern Hotels & Resorts, I had breakfast at the XII Zodiac which is a zodiac themed resturant under this chain of hotels. It serves buffet of variety of food from different regions of the country and would also ask you if you would like to have anything specially made. The best part is even after eating a ton you wouldn't feel uneasy or uncomfortable because everything is so healthy and light.
