Opium has always been our go to place. The food is just so so good. Must try: Bhetki Sezzero, Mutton Patiala, Chicken salt and pepper, Cheese cherry pineapple, Cheese chilli mushroom . Always avail the combos and offers for a better deal. The staff are so courteous and friendly. Perfect place with the best of music and vibe.

Nostalgia is a good thing but sometimes it can drag you down the rabbit hole. We found it the hard way in our last visit to this place. The Salt Lake Sector V veterans would agree that once there was nothing but Opium. It was the one and only place serving drinks at reasonable price, tasty finger foods, and some times they did good mains as well. This nostalgia brought us back to this place - to relive the olden days and our youth. It seems that the entire world progressed, in terms of food, service, ambiance, but this place remained as a relic of a bygone era. It was a sad thing to see. The taste of the food is below average, except the Chili Chicken. Even the french fries came out so much bland that even after 15-20 minutes, I could see half of the bowl was left. Normally, the fries are lapped up in a straight 5 minutes. One of the most cherished dishes, the Fish Irani Kabab, was as bland as a chalk and made out of some fish completely devoid of taste. So was the Chicken Rashmi Kabab. The Chicken Tangdi Kabab was red hot spicy and laden with red color. We did not find the drinks also to be at reasonable price. The ambiance is a dark gloomy one with furniture that has lasted long enough. We were seated at a table where the seat to table height was so much that it was pretty uncomfortable to eat, drink or even make any conversation. Finally, I will not be back to this place till I hear that it is renovated and stories of good services and food.

The ambience is quite good and the foods are quite delicious/mouthwatering though bit overpriced. The music is not too loud and drinks are available to enjoy the dine out. I would recommend to try Mix Hakka noodles, Cantonese noodles and pan fried fish.

It's an old bar cum restaurant that gives you the same vibe as Olypub in Park Street. Place has a low light, football match and Pink Floyd were being played at the same time at the two corners. It's gives you a old college time feeling. Now, comes the food experience. Let me tell you, it was mind blowing. We ordered the following items: Oriental omelet Chicken Cheese Stick Chicken Chili Oyster Chicken Patiala Chicken Bharta Mutton Liver Fry Masala Kulcha Kabil Naan Masala Soda Everything was just delicious. I haven't had such nice omelet in years, same as the Cheese stick and other items. If you haven't visited this place yet, it a 100% must try.

Ambience,food quality is very good,800 for two persons so little bit of costly but overall you'll loved the envo with the dj.

The place which has a feeling of Home. The prices of drinks and food are quite reasonable. The X factor is the Food, the word Excellent would fall short of explaining the quality, quantity and tatse. The second most important thing it is a heaven for Rock and POP music Lovers. You will be mesmerized with the song choices that would play in the background as you take sip from your drinks.

Great place to be in, ambience is really nice. They have happy hours from 1600 to 1900 where they give one plus one on drinks. During the happy hour average cost would be around 2300 for 2 people with food and drinks.

This bar is much cheaper than its neighbours. The food is good and ample in quantity. I highly recommend Mutton Patiala. It's a very innovative and unique dish made of mutton keema stuffed inside an outer layer of egg. The seating area is a little congested. But it's all right really, not bad considering that it's much cheaper than other nearby bars. The washroom is good and clean. I didn't care much for the behaviour of the waiters. I guess they are a little understaffed, which makes the waiters rude and on the edge. The security guard is also quite weird. He just appears out of nowhere and offers to light your cigarette. And then he asks for tips. I hadn't ever seen guards ask for tips before this.

We have few signature dishes as mentioned in picture in addition mixed Fred rice, Oriental omelet, dry chili chiken, nann +handi chicken, Afghanistan chicken(stuffed with cream) etc. A Long pending visit with office friends after corona period.. Various option of liquor and drinks avaliable. Good option for lunch dinner and quick hangout. Vibes, light and interior can be better Nd modernized. I have frequented this bar from my college life. It still has a great ambience, good food and cheap liquor. Definitely try the Captain Morgan pitcher if are Rum bhakt. But they should change the playlist. Its been a decade old i guess.

Perfect place in Sector 5 to chill out with friends. Enrique iglesias music is only played here. This place has a young crowd (boys & girls). The bartender isn't up to mark according to service & greetings customers. Food is fresh & delicious. I generally spend my weekend here.

My second home in Kolkata , earlier Opium was closed due to some internal strife.Now you will get same service. Staffs are very cool , service waiting time is minimal. Price is also not so high 2k is good for two person.(including food and drink). Anyone who is looking for booze along with football than Opium is quite best place.

This was my first attempt to this place. The ambience was good, could have been great as we were seated on the inside part of the restaurant which was little dull and dark, However the service was great. I was keen to try cocktails which were on the higher price side, oriental omlette, mutton Patiala were fabulous. On suggestions we tried Betki Zezero and it was lip smacking. I just love fish, so I had to indulge myself in Fish Tawa too. But we had one more on the list- Liver Masala, alas! It wasn't prepared on that day. Overall it was a good experience.

This review comes from someone who doesn't drink alcohol. The service was very good and the people into 'spirit'-ual stuff 😉😁 will find their selection of drinks quite varied. I had a cold coffee and an iced tea and enjoyed my time there. Great place for a great time out for yuppies! 😁😁

Went there during their Happy Hours. 1+1 offer on alcohol. Ambience was good and they are maintaining all the required safety measures.

The alcoholic type of fun, if that's your thing then this is your place. Personally, for me, it was no different than other bars in the city which is not to say you're in for a bad experience, just nothing "top of the shelf" extraordinary. Everyday kind of bar, but their Kitchen had an interesting menu.

Visited on Sunday so it was lil crowded so I would say make reservations before going so that you don't have to wait especially on the weekends. The crowd is good and so is the vibe. You can ask the DJ to play according to your recommendations which is something I really like. The staff is friendly and polite. Overall a nice experience.

I went to work at this place today and specifically asked the general manager to alot me a table with no guest like the bar stool as they had none unlike the photo provided I was seated at a table for 8 assuring I won't be disturbed by any personal. 1.5 hours later the manager comes to me saying you've been disturbing the people infront. I asked them and they agreed, but the whole point was I was there to work and drink on my own so I know I DID NOT talk to anyone, so disturbing is totally different thing. Also the standard operating procedure of any Fnb outlet says that if theres a problem between the tablemates, the staff may change the table to accommodate the guest if need be. There were plenty of tables vacnat but I was asked to leave in a very abrupt manner. The security and the manager himself denied to face the video footage i have, admitting that we don't wanna be recorded saying all this. I've bee to many Irish pub across the country but this was the worst experience ever. Also you people ask to send a mail saying we can make it a better experience, I wanna ask, how? If you're not even gonna reply to the mails. I think maybe that is the strategy here, get the guests on email than online review and never listen as emails aren't made public that often.

The place was very small but well decorated and cosy. Maybe it's good for drink and hangout. It was my first visit and for me it's not the good option for family person like us. Food is avarage.
