A 5-⭐️buffet! There’s nothing more mesmerising than the ambience of JW MARRIOTT. The food was freshly cooked, where you will get enough options to choose from. The price of the weekend buffet was Rs. 2400/- (including tax), which was worth the money. Also, you’ll get unlimited beer, which was included in the price of the buffet. A must visit if you want to experience 5 star dining.

Went for New Year Bash at Ball room. Over crowed. Overall less than average entertainment, music. Bars were well arranged with Multiple good barmen at each counter. Two variety of whiskies and one of each type of alcohol was served. Easily accessible starter counter. 4 veg and 4 non veg. I didn't like any. Decent ( not great) main course at another location. Excellent deserts.

Went for the dinner buffet. Was a bit apprehensive because there are many average or bad reviews on the internet, but I was pleasantly surprised. To start off, the ambience and décor is absolutely beautiful, and is what one expects from a 5-star hotel as reputed as JW Marriott. The tables are large and the chairs are comfy, making sure you feel at ease while dining. Coming to the menu, there were a huge variety of options including Asian, North Indian, Continental and Bengali cuisine. I felt both the non-veg and vegetarian options were sufficient in number. All the food items tasted fresh and delicious. All the chicken and seafood items were really good. The live counters for roti, naan, pasta, chowmein, etc. were wonderful as well. The best part however was the dessert counter. There were at least 25 varieties of desserts, including both Western desserts and traditional Bengali desserts, all of which tasted great. Only the drinks option was limited to either a single mocktail or a glass of soft drink. The staff were courteous and helpful, and counters were refilled promptly when emptied. The charge per head came to around INR 2,050/- all inclusive. Overall, definitely worth the money to me. If you want a wonderful buffet spread and some fine dining, JW Marriott is the place to go. Overall, a definite recommend.

Went to the dinner buffet for my parents' anniversary. The place is really amazing and well decorated, the behavior of the staff is really appreciated. Now when it comes to buffet, make sure you book your table before your lunch or dinner . Now come to the food quality, the starter and dessert section was really good but the main course disappointed me a lot and they offer a complimentary mocktail and cold drinks .Also there was a cheese sections and the plum nut green salad was amazing. The overall experience is pretty good ❤️

Good food. But please don't try naan from here. All gravies of Chicken are highly recommended. Though prices are touching the sky and taxes are also too high. But you can go there for "shauk pura krne k liye". Overall you can go there after savings and post photos on social media. Ambience was first class. Feels royal to be there and eat.

This is one of the best buffet lunch I had. It was an awesome experience. The buffet spread had Indian, Chinese, Continental, Bengali cuisines and also had live counters for pasta and chowmin. It had some awesome desserts and countless options. Timing is from 12:30 to 3pm. Try to reach their absolutely on time since they do wrap up the buffet by 3:30 at the most.

There was a huge variety of starters and deserts. The main course items were normal like other restaurants. The most disappointing thing is that I didn't find the Biryani so good. It's one of my favorite place in town... Specially gold, The vibes,The ambience, The people... Perfect place if you just wanna grab a few drinks and dance like anything or relax with a good cocktail or mocktails in hand and chill out with high music.. The guys in bar counter were helpful enough. Well... The foods are good too... I haven't been too all there restaurant but been to a few.. The food is good too...specially in Vintage Asia. The lobby is well maintained, all over it's a nice place but have never stayed so cannot talk about the rooms...

I went for lunch. Booked the table for 2pm. Loved the quality of food and the varities of food. Lovely food. The staffs were very good as well. But when I booked the table they didn't inform me that the kitchen is going to close at 3pm. Else I should have rescheduled my booking accordingly. So while booking please keep in mind, kitchen closes sharp at 3pm.

I am Titanium Elite at Marriott. I been staying at JW Marriott for last 7 days but my stay at JW Marriott was not up to mark specially with front desk people. They will give commitment and give hope to make the changes I requested but then will contradict with everything that they said later on. I usually get upgrade but this time they have not given me upgrade. I understand it may be full or not available but they will assure you that it will be available by morning or the next day but in the end they will say no. If they would have told me that they can’t do for these many days if it is full or booked then I would not have wasted my time and effort following up with them. Also, would have plan for other options instead of keep waiting. They will say they will call or inform me but that also they won’t do it. There is a huge communication gap and failures within their team and no follow ups with the customers. It is huge dissatisfaction for a customer like me who usually spend 1/2 of life at Marriott regularly and always have praised them but unfortunately this time we were not provided with the good service being a loyal and dedicated customers. Food was good and we mostly ate food at JW kitchen. Ayushi was helpful with other team members. For room service we met Rana and he was nice and did great job of house keeping every time he was there.

Not a satisfying experience at least during our Nabami lunch on 25th Oct 2020. Earlier experiences were better. Lot of chaos with seating area packed to capacity with no safe distance between tables. The spread lacked that 5 star touch with missing items like kababs and other exotic items. The mutton was not cooked well and lacked that softness. During booking, we were not mentioned about the spread and did not expect pure bengali cuisines (wouldn't have booked if informed beforehand). Also, we had to wait outside for sometime at the gate to download Arogya setu app which could have been avoided if we were told about in advance during booking confirmation (expected atleast from Mariott). Would not recommend atleast during occasions like Durga Puja.

On Nabami (25/10/2020) we had pre-booked table number 7 for six people at 1:30 pm for lunch in JW Marriott Kitchen. It was a huge disappointment for all. We feel like more than 12k bucks have been wasted on pointless food items. More than half of the dishes were pure Bengali without any kebabs or other italian (apart from pasta)/north indian delicacies. There wasn't any roti items like butter naan or kulcha. It was just petty fish fries and toppings decorated. The food served really didn't match the expected five star cuisine quality. There was even a fly on one of the drinks. It's very upsetting to witness such bad service from a place like JW Marriott. Also there was a lot of drama during check in where we were not told beforehand about downloading the funny Arogya Setu app. Even after sanitising like crazy, there was no scene of maintaining social distance with a hall stuffed with people without a single feet gap between the tables.There was huge chaos as they had taken way too many bookings. The money spent seems like pure waste and nothing was satisfying. I would strongly advise people to visit some other place during puja apart from Marriott since they are not capable of handling their customers.

This restaurant is located inside JW Marriott hotel, kolkata. The restaurant looks so beautiful in the evening. They have seat capacity of more than 150 people. Whole restaurant is well decorated and the outside waiting room is also very beautiful. We went for a buffer dinner and they had more than 50 items in total including 20 types of desserts. Food quality was absolutely amazing. All items were delicious. Customer service was undoubtedly good. One of the best places for fine dining.

A 5 star hotel with an average buffet. Went on a sunday so couldn't enjoy the ambience as place was overcrowded. Food quality was good but everything was cold. That just ruined the overall impression. Couldn't believe the plates were scratched and dirty and the table was shaky! Staff was too busy to provide us with towels and they even forgot about the drinks which was included in the booking. Deserts tasted bad and the cakes were full size so people had to cut it on their own. It was like a self service buffet experience in an indian wedding lol. Not a good experience for such a high price.

Light sensor had malfunction light are getting switched on automatically every 15 min, had to call electrician at 2.00am. Please install buttons if u cant handle touch sensors. Also walls are so thin that u can hear people talking outside whole night and BANG sound when they close there doors. One of my most favourite places in town is JW Marriott. Been there four times in last two years despite the Covid mishap. These photos are taken on my husband's birthday which we celebrated at JW Marriott. The buffet is always so huge that it caters to almost every kind of tastebuds. The dessert section is my favourite. Their dessert spread always makes me the happiest. Well the overall experience matters. Located at a very convenient place on EM bypass, beside ITC Royal Bengal. The pickup and drop area is wide and ample space available at the entrance. However, the entry main gate could have been a little more spacious in its depth as everytime the car needs to be turned immediately left then right to go inside. After you handover for valet parking, you are greeted with care. They will help you to put the luggage in the scanner, and pass you through metal detector. Sanitizer and mask are available at the entrance in case needed. The lounge is very specious and wide. Highly rated customer services. Dinning options are plenty from JW Lounge, Vintage Asia, Infinity Bar, Marriott On Wheels, etc. Pls call them ahead to book a table to ensure you are aware of timings. Rarely they provide discounts on alacarte. Mostly, when available, may be on drinks and buffet package. Covid protocols are highly maintained at the hotel so you may visit with confidence compared to standalone restaurants in the city. Overall I would highly recommend this place for friends and family visit. Stay safe.

Visited for the Sunday brunch. It was a very pleasing and much improved experience from the last visit many years ago. There were a wide array of dishes on hand, all very well prepared. The roast meats were tender, succulent and expertly prepared. One missing feature that would be well received is a separate package available to those who might like some wine or other beverage with their food. Looking forward to going there again.

It had a huge arrays of foods ranging from white meat, red meat to sea food and fruits and vegetables. They also had live kitchen. the quality of the food was not that great as I expected but it was not bad also. The starters was ok, main courses were a little better and I loved their dessert section most. It had a lot of option. All along the experience was God but considering the price we are paying for the buffet, it can be better. The taste of the food was a bit disappointing thing for me else everything was good.

Luxury hotel with a welcoming entrance. The hotel is located at bypass which can be reached by the cab or a car. The interiors are welcoming and bright. You get the feel of freshness. The lounge is a good place to sit and chat or discuss business. The food is good. The pool area is the most beautiful part as the view from the infinity pool is very good.

Great food, excellent ambience, and superb service!!! It's a huge collection of awesome food. The desert collection is mindblowing. The staff, i.e. Bijoyan and team, were very helpful. The staff at the noodles, fuchka, waffle counters were continuously preparing tasty dishes on demand. A staffer at the fruits section did not hesitate to cut a watermelon at the last minute. Room for improvement: It would be great if tea and coffee is included in the selection. A few more typical Bengali dishes, e.g. luchi, rohu/bhetki, mocha would be wonderful.

The Name 'J W' already sets the bar high up. We went there to have buffet lunch and I must say that the atmosphere and ambience is top notch. There are variety of cuisines and options present in the buffet. However the best is the Bengali Type Biryani. The starter is average in taste however the desserts are mind blowing. The Pujo special buffet spread was just incredible with over 100 different options. But taste wise it's average. The pizza that they were serving was on the regular pizza bread available at local grocery shop. The Bengali food items were good with a lot of options. The dessert section was really good.

What a fine stay at the JW Marriott. I arrived way past midnight and the staff kept the briefing of hotel information short and provide keys to room once the necessary paperwork was completed. Staff on the ground remembers their customers last name and made our group comfortable throughout the stay. Despite their busy time, they were always communicative to the guests and will eventually tend to the needs. Wide variety of choices at their buffet throughout the day. If you’re able, their executive rooms comes with access to the lounge in the afternoon for tea and 6-9 for drinks and light meals. Distance from the hotel to attraction sites might take a while, but coming back to the hotel and having a restful night is all worth it. There’s a nearby restaurant name oh! Calcutta with fine food. Check it out if you want to try food outside of the hotel. Will return to the hotel for my next trip.

Not a very pleasant experience at all. Frankly speaking you will find more varieties in Barbeque Nation than what I got here. Nothing for desserts, ghulab jamun was like "out cold." You get better sweets in the local bengali sweet shop. Chicken was hard, Roghan Josh was pathetic, Arsalan, Mezaban, Shiraz etc should be a much better pick. Last but not the least, they just knew how to speak il "Yes Sir" "No Sir" in a courtly manner that's it.

This is the first time I've been at the Kolkata's JW kitchen for the breakfast buffet would like to say that I was very much disappointed with what they offered. The options were less. The food was average. Overall experience was very average. I don't know if it's their management problem or may be I went on a bad day but definitely their standards were not what they were suppose to be.

Classic restaurant with a huge variety of food.i went there on my anniversary and they have offered us a cake. It would have been nicer if the variety of cheese could have been more. The live pasta counter and the live noodles counter deserve mentioned. Perhaps the best noodles in Kolkata. The desert section is vivid. But the Kalojam needs a special mention.

The ambience, the food and the stuffs are the ones that will keep you considering this place again and again whenever you want to go for a dine-in either with your partner or with family.

Had gone to celebrate my mother's birthday with my entire family (Twelve heads)! They provided a complimentary cake that was so small that it was not fit for even two persons. I would have willingly paid more for a birthday cake had they told before. It was a sheer embarrassment. The food lineup although extensive was quite bland and lacked the finesse of a fine dining restaurant. The starters were very average. The main course was equally dismal and surprisingly the desserts also were a huge letdown. The only saving grace was the Grilled Chicken and Mahi Tikka. Had I known that this is what was in store for us, I would have never chosen this place! Will never visit again!

I went to JW kitchen to try their set menu. Each and every item was absolutely marvelous and cooked to perfection. The service was amazing and the attention to detail from every aspect was impeccable. The quality and taste was the best I have had in a long long time. Special mention to the pastry chef and their Asian chef. Never had a more satisfying lunch before.

One can have authentic bengali dishes in buffet menu like bhaat, dal, alu posto, dheros er torkari, katla mach er kalia along with chicken biriyani, mutton rohan Josh, chicken dhania. U can have different types of salads as well. They serve fuchka, papri chat, dahi vada, noodle pasta. You can have 10+ items in desert.

Last night I a had great time at Marriot. Great food, great service and I must say Sumon's hospitality was awesome and there was Souvik and Indranil too, they all were so great towards me and friends. And the food was delicious. Specially Choco mud pie is a must try dish. Ambiance was really calming and mind soothing. I will visit there again and again.

We went for lunch on a Monday 12/10/20, ordered the set meal and sat by the glass walled side that is supposed to be the highlight of the place Very beautiful place to sit down, but even before the first courses were served, the place was hot, not warm but hot and very uncomfortable. Quality of food was just ok, nothing more, however, the raw papaya salad was excellent, I must admit. While the service team was friendly and pleasant, service was too slow and the food requests were also messed up. Overall, not an enjoyable dining experience. And certainly not a value for money place.

The one memory that youll take if you ever visit here is that of desserts. Buffet is limited when it comes to starters and main course but dessert section is huge. Celebrating my sons PhD entrance to JNU ,he ranked 2nd all INDIA. Continental dinner buffet. Food was good, not extraordinary. Roast chicken Pan fried fish fritters,,Chinese dishes were very good and so were the selection of cheeses. Quality of the Fish used in lemon Butter sauce was not expected from a Marriot! Turkey ham was brilliant but qnty served was poor as I saw guests going away with empty plates. Desserts were good, not very good,expected to see Apple Tart etc in this season . A drink was served ,I found absolutely tasteless except sweet. But STAFF BEHAVIOUR AND EFFICIENCY WERE VERY HOSPITABLE.

First visit was on 13th Jan '21 on the occassion of my wife's birthday. We were 3 of us and we really liked the food and recommended to our near and dear ones. On 15th Feb again decided to go for Lunch, occassion being our Anniversary. But were very disappointed. We just couldn't believe how the food quality and service deteriorated in one month. The pastry were stale. Previous day was the Valentine's day, so could be the stale and leftovers as all of them were of pink or red theme. The papad and khichia table was overcrowded and were too soft. The soup was not upto the standard. And when asked for the bowl for the soup, was provided with the katori meant for dal makhani. The counter boy did not know how to make papdi chat. Had no idea of the curd and chutney mix. The ragra i.e. matar for tikki was no where what was served on 13th Jan. There was one oily starter item, fried with some stuffing. Taste was horrible. At the end ordered for a baked sweet dish. The dough inside was raw. The overall veg spread was no where what we had on the 13th Jan. It seems of the previous day big event and marriages lined up on 15th and 16th there was no focus. We had occupied table no. 10 on 15th Feb. It was very disappointing. Wrong selection.

no talk about ambience it was great but buffet food quality is not upto the mark only deserts are good, they should bring more variety in their buffet menu.

Being a 5 star property the maintenance, service and upkeep leaves a lot to be desired. Checked in late at night and wanted to retire early however couldn't do so for multiple technical reasons. Firstly the key to our allocated room wouldn't work so had to make 3 trips to the reception. Was told by housekeeping that a service technician will come and solve the problem after 15 minutes. Realized later that telephone in the room as also not working. Had to go back to reception who mentioned there is an issue with the room but they couldn't allocate another room with a king bed which was what I booked for since all rooms are taken. Later they were able to accommodate in another room on a lower floor. The entire process took 1 hour. Carpet and linen in rooms and restaurant were not completely clean. Buffet breakfast was strictly OK. Order dinner Ala carte which was really good. Room and view from room was fantastic.

Marriott has always been a sight worth seeing and am experience worth cherishing. We visited the Vintage Asia restaurant for MT grandmoms birthday, and they were quite generous with a birthday cake for her! The food was very delicious and the ambience spectacular! The Christmas timing added to the decor and vibe of the place which was very festive!

As a Marriott Ambassador Elite, the buffet at J W Kitchen is always on my radar, but lately the place has started to get too crowded. The spread and preparation was excellent. Pepper mutton was a disappointment ( for me) , I would have preferred a normal preparation like classic JW Mutton prep. or a kosa mangso. Only 4 standard icecream flavors were there, vanilla, chocolate, mango and strawberry, common JW !!! With a retail price of ₹2100 per person, you need to do more.

We went to have the lunch buffet for my birthday.. The hotel has a good vibe but the buffet options could be better. Indian items were good but there was literally no sea food items in the buffet also less drinks option available. The dessert section was good though .. Was there in a marriage during the month July. Was surprised to see the behaviour of the staff at the restaurant. I asked to clean the table but the lady staff got irritated and just ignored me. Had Buffet at JW kitchen.... The ambience was good, as a Bengali fishaholic I can tell others to stay away from fish items, go on with Chinese items alongside Indian dishes too. Best Marriott property to stay at. Checkin/checkout staff always took care of us. Service on the executive floors is excellent. This location has amazing selection of food. They provide a good selection of food for breakfast. Also highly recommend going to Vintage Asia on the 1st floor. Such a relaxing stay every time I book at this location.

The hotel is exceptional. The staff were all so friendly, attentive and welcoming. They made us and our 3 year old feel so special. We loved the food, the pool and the amazing bars.

Disappointed with the loud music from the pool. Loud bass music can be heard all the way up to the 11th floor and overall the music is too loud and reception says it is normal. There are guests who don't like excessive noise and this should be considered. The hotel rooms are beautiful and the staff are superb.

I booked an ex.suite and trust me I had to literally beg the staff on my knees to get me a C-type charger as I had misplaced mine.... I mean come on ppl.... such petty things must not even be an issue. Overall a decent experience although a little overpriced.... I was charged an extra, more than 60% of the room rent just for an early check-in. The food is pretty decent and most staff are polite and welcoming.
