Location is very near, just opposite of City Centre 1 Salt Lake. Parking place is available. The waiter and the staffs are very friendly. Food quality also good and clean. Restaurant and hotels also very good. Price is little bit high but it is okay for a good quality of food and services.

We went to their restaurant last year to try out their Sunday’s special Bengali Lunch Buffet ! We have called them for table booking before going , they told us they’ll keep our table as reservation. But after going there we found out there wasn’t a single table for us , in fact they kept us waiting . They did the same thing with some other people also . They were also waiting outside the restaurant with us. I didn’t expect this kind of service from here. Whatever after waiting for half an hour they finally asked us to come in. Ambience was good 👍 : 4.5/5 Food items : average , they were always delaying to fill any food items in buffet. We had to tell them so many times to refill the items. Staff behaviour wasn’t also very good, they weren’t actually very much customer friendly. Our overall experience wasn’t good at all there.

The worst experience ever in any hotel. The service is very poor, behaviour is rude. They don't clean your room during your stay. The timings are very strict, not even half an hour extension is given, for which they have argued to charge for a full day fare. Most important, the front desk/ reception persons are miserable and lack the skill of hospitality industries in totality. Further they have no idea of raising GST bills properly and even after intimation, they are rigid to revise the same.

Excellent food and very accommodative. We were 11 including senior citizen and were looking for a place to have lunch on prime time in a Sunday. No one could help but they helped us find a place and what a place..... Keep the his work up. This will help you grow faster

I went there a few months back and it was a great experience! I went there for one day's stay with my buddies and it was really good! We also their breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It was really good to see that they are maintaining all the safety guidelines. The food is lip-smacking as well. The breakfast and lunch had a wide range of options. Their breakfast has Bengali cuisine, Indian Cuisine to Continental Cuisine. We went on a Sunday, Tried their Bengali Buffet during Lunch and it was Amazing!. Located very very near to the City center mall and is the center of Calcutta. A great Neighborhood and vicinity, Perfect for your business trips and family trips! Must-visit for business, leisure, family tours. Their rooms are thoroughly sanitized and have all the basic amenities and toiletries.

The hotel is under renovation. As per the hotel staff it is under renovation since last 1 year. The lift to the room doesnot operate from the ground floor which was not mentioned anywhere or during my discussion with the hotel staff. It became problematic for me as my mother had climbing difficulty. The corridor or lift lobby had strong smell of fresh paint and on complaint, they said that only some portion has this problem. The wooden floor of the room was in bad condition and broken as well. For the price we paid, could have got a better property in Kolkata. Would suggest the hotel representative to inform the guests when they call to check about the availability or put up about renovation at all relevant places in travel portals as well.

I used the facilities on 1st & 2nd July. The lift from ground floor to first floor was under renovation which wasn’t informed to us. One of our friends had knee joint issues and found it very difficult and painful to use the stairs. On request of extra bed, a floor bed was provided which again was a challenge for us to use in view of our age. The lady at the reception was very slow in understanding what we spoke and wasn’t properly trained to handle the issue of billing… both when we checked in and checked out. One of my friends was given the wrong key and he opened the door of a room which was already occupied by ladies and it was extremely embarrassing. While check out, they gave me a bill which I settled. But now they are calling up to say that the extra bed charges weren’t included in the bill and I should pay for it. I have been getting phone calls and messages from the hotel staff regarding the same which I plan to settle as I don’t need this constant harassment which is anyways because of their incompetence to start with. This sort of unprofessional behaviour is unacceptable. The rooms were good and food was reasonable.

Very very good food. We had a buffet lunch. More than 18 items. They charged only Rs. 800 per head on bhai phota occasion. Foods were very tasty, specially baked rasgulla, Basanti pulao and mutton .

The best hotel is saltlake cuty Kolakata. The location is excellent. The staffs are very supportive and cooperative specially Miss Papia and Taskin, they were a true helping hand and amazing staffs. Breakfast and dinner was delicious and each day the menu was unique. Overall a very good experience with the hotel. I would recommend it all those who want to have a good hotel near saltlake city with good staffs.

I had booked 40 rooms for 3 nights. The reception manager Mr. Rahul is the most efficient staff. Ms. Sangeeta their sales manager is very humble and she assures guest comfort. Unfortunately not all the staff is like that. The house keeping is pathetic and some staff definitely needs some communication training and lecture on mannerism.the rooms though non-smoking,were stinking.the hotel needs to be generous with Toiletries in the room, Our rooms had no bath slippers. Some pest control would have made things comfortable. The staff acted like a government office in some aspects. The taste of breakfast food had a peculiar flavor of Bengali cuisine even in south indian dosa, the chef is filed with a sense of false pride and has failed in his job miserably .There is definitely room for serious improvement which the management must look into.The top management is too arogant probably. I was about to file a consumer grievance in the court against the hotel but I am awaiting their response.

Great Value Hotel.!! Fantastic Rooms with good in room - washroom amenities, clean linen, tea coffee, electric kettle and more.. Worth staying in the hotel if you're on a business trip. They serve good buffet in dinner and breakfast which was lavish and delicious with the no of options available there.. The service was quick and swift which made the dinner and breakfast better..

Banquet rooms are small but if you join two ,you can jolly well accomodate a crowd of 60-70.Seating arrangements need to be stepped up.Chairs are too skinny and uncomfortable to sit through a session from 9am to 3pm. Acoustic system was good.Food was good too

We planned a lunch get together with friends at The Sand restaurant of hotel De Sovrani. Nice ambience with cozy decor. Buffet with nice & sumptuous spread pocket friendly too. Service is good & prompt, staff was courteous.

It was one of the best hotels I've ever stayed. Room was spacious, clean and well designed. They had provided every necessary stuffs for staying. Staffs were so well behaved. It was near to the metro station also. It has its own restaurant, gym, swimming pool etc.

The hotel is at an excellent location. The rooms were clean & staff was polite, helpful, and professional. Just a few suggestions. Add a few North India-specific food items like Tawa roti and plain yellow Dal to room dining menu.

This star category hotel is very famous and beautiful. I was invited by my neighbour, so I don't know about the room. Quality of food is very good but the preparation of food is not like star category hotel.

Rooms are decent and location is awesome. Staff is courteous, especially at the reception. Restaurant service is also good, but food is pricey compared to portions and variety could be more. I am allergic to Corn Flower and Maida and when asked got a very limited choice of menu, with no offer at customisation from the kitchen. Hence the 4 star.

Visited the hotel on a party occasion and the dinner buffet was delightful. From starters to main course it was a delectable spread and everything tasted so good. The waiters were very courteous and really served us well. The entire sitting space was very cozy and we had a wonderful dinner while watching the World Cup final match on a large screen. I would really love to visit this place again.

I went there on Ashtami 2022 durga puja for having buffet at such a pocket friendly price at Maple. It was a great experience for all of us and great hospitality. Totally satisfied, value for money. It has a great view from sky cafe.

No comments should be given about rooms as I have not visited. I went to attend a marriage function in the banquet in the first floor. At the time of entry security staff welcomed us heartily saying "Namaskar". There was no vallet; but security staff helped me in parking my car in reserved parking area of the hotel. Banquet hall is fine for accommodation of 60-70 guests. As I have a bad habit of smoking, every time I had to come out of the hotel in search of smoking zone. Foods and drinks served were good but not excellent -- and a particular dessert item was not acceptable until the server changed the plates after realising the grievances of the taker. The starters were fine enough to admire. Overall my experience was good and location of the hotel must be praised.

Last night I visited this restaurant. The place and ambiance was warm and welcoming. All the staffs were so polite and well informed about the food also helped us with some great options to taste... It's a multi-cuisine restaurant which servers world class & international quality of food. The presentation are absolutely amazing and appetising.

The Sonnet at Salt Lake, We dined at Aura (Ground Floor). We opted for opted for Buffert. The food was pleasant and light on the stomach... The ambience is pleasant... The starters was of good selection We really enjoyed... The Main course was very limited... but good enough... Do Try it out... Do visit... a nice place specially for Family.

Located in Salt Lake area, the hotel is well managed and quite a good option for a short stay. Attended cousin's marriage here and service offered by them was nice and up to the mark. The food was marginally good and staff was quite cooperative. The rooms were good and service was also fine.

During pandemic this hotel is following all rules and taking all precautions. You can stay here safely. And all these in a reasonable rate. I would love to come and stay here again.My purpose of visit was business and this hotel seemed ideal for the purpose. Liked the stay here. I enjoyed food here with my business associates. The ambience was great.The entrance had a ramp. There were helpers around. Pretty lounge area, double bedroom was standard. Lighting was perfect. Fire sprinkler, bathroom alert were in place. Amenities like digital safe, mini bar, hair dryer, kettle.

Clean environment in the restaurant with good protocol for covit. Another important facility is the ample parking space in front of the hotel. On the whole it was a nice experience.

I've visited the Bar named "The Library" in De Sovrani. I really liked the ambience and the decor of the place. Required Covid protocols and precautions are in place. Regarding food, I really liked the Pan Fried Chilli Fish. One thing is lacking a bit what I felt is the experience of service staff in the Bar. They need to brush up a bit on their customer service skills. Another request I would like to make to the management, kindly spruce up your cellar coz we didn't got our choice of liquor. Rest everything is fine. I would encourage people to visit De Sovrani and have a great time.

Lol. I wish I had visited something cheaper. I am not complaining about quality... But as per the hype or what should I say ... Like as per the environment and cost, the food is just like ordinary restaurant... Only the price is higher. Sofas and chairs were stained with dirt... Couldn't get hold of chicken kebab for the second time as it was used to make something else 😂😂😂 the fun part was that waiter told me "sir, it was bit dry so we are making it again" and believe me I never received it again. Well... The presentation was great... Everything was great... Just that, the food wasn't anything special as one would hope for the price.

Conference room was quite big .. it could easily accommodate 50-60 people at a time. As location wise its very convenient for each person to come . Food was average. So i will rate this place according to me ⭐⭐⭐⭐

I went for a breakfast buffet. The spread was good with variety of items and options. However, the taste of the food wasn't upto the mark. More is expected from a hotel of this stature. Kindly, improve the cooking quality and flavours of the food served.

It's OK, I'm still observing as we are still staying here for 1 more week. So far first night I wasn't happy... The only thing I observed for few days was they're more prioritising local guest. We booked at banquet Hall for one occasion few days back... I don't know what is there policies but they shouldn't remove or stop the starter counters and live counter until gathering was done as some guest came late. Let's see how will be the experience here in 1 more week Thank you for all good staff helping us on our 18 days of stay here. I hope they can improved they're free breakfast menu. As we stayed also in Golden Tulip but we never got bored on they're breakfast.

Amazing rooms and good service. The staff was always ready to help, whatever be the issue. The buffet breakfast was excellent with a variety of options. Slightly disappointed with the washrooms, but the overall experience was worth it.

Without any doubt,it is one of the best hotel in Kolkata. They upgraded our room to suite,which was an spacious room fitted with bath tub all together the ambiance of the room was genuinely too good. It is a beautiful hotel located in the prime part of Salt Lake, near City Centre. The facilities are top class. Had visited the banquet hall for a wedding. Food was good but could have been a bit more organized. Ambience is amazing.

Awesome place in heart of the main city rooms are spacious neat and clean, bathroom with all modern amenities. Sky deck pool is main attraction with sky deck dinning and every next day there is live program on going.

From arriving at the hotel right up until leaving 2 days later, everything was wonderful. All staff are accomodating and polite. The room was super cosy and had everything that was needed. Complimentary water bottles too. We opted for breakfast buffet on both days, there was a great choice of both Indian and continental. They made a good effort and the food tasted great. We also had the chicken and mutton biryani during night which was totally delicious and worth the price. Our favourite part of the hotel was the rooftop cafe/ swimming pool. It's a cute space, well maintained and the views are great. Everybody was kind and welcoming to our son, who was a little upset on arrival but soon settled and enjoyed, maybe even more than us. Thanks so much for everything.

Despite huge downturn in the hospitality sector during the pandemic De Sovrani is valiantly trying to keep their flag flying. No complaint as such, except that one bucket of ice cubes costs Rs.53 (02.05.22). Hopefully, once the hotel sector revives, ice will be free in the summer heat for guests taking rooms. A pleasant clean hotel with cheerful staff.

Nice and pleasant stay. Rooms are of adequate size. TV had all the channels that my son prefers- a big thanks for that. Room had a nice tea table and a laptop table. Washroom was clean and tidy. Overall great experience.

Hi By the way of introducing this is Debrupa Mullick from Saltlake sector 3. I approached hotel sonnet in saltlake sector 1 to host my wedding party in their venue. My wedding happened on February 7 2022. I started my arrangements from January 2021 which was a year back from the date of event so that everything can happen smoothly and I can have enough benefit of time. While doing the booking in the initial level i have had a word with Puja chakraborty who was banquet coordinator and booked the venue with 40k. While the date was nearing I paid multiple visits to hotel for the menu fixation and tasting of food. At that point of time banquet coordinator Mary and Mr Anand was arranging everything. None of the hotel staff followed up with me with regards to the payment before the event. I took the whole initiative and did the payment at the very last moment when we had two days left for the final event. Due to pandemic we were all skeptical about the number of guests since people were hestitant to come and attend any functions. We had a detail word with the hotel staff Mary and asked her to suggest something. She told us to give the order a safe number of plates since the food is always extra by 20 or 25 plates. She suggest us just incase the guest count exceeds then the final settlement will be done after the marriage but food won't be less in any situation. We trusted hotel sonnet being a 4 star hotel. While the event was happening Mr Deepak came to me and ask me to trust him with the guest since marriage happens only once and it's their responsibility to feed all of my guests to their full appetite. While the event was about to end I came accross a huge commotion happened between my family and hotel staffs. I got to know that there was a delay in serving the dinner so some of my guests who was about to leave early since they had to travel a long distance became disappointed. The non veg food got over even before all the guests had their last food. The desert items were also not in sufficient amount. This sort of unprofessional behaviour is not expected from a 4star hotel like sonnet who is charging such a huge amount for one plate. Marriage events can happen in sonnet many times but for every client their marriage takes place only once. If they couldn't guaranteed the quantity and quality of food they shouldn't have done the commitment to serve the dinner to the last person available in the event. It's a colossal and flagrant practice that hotel sonnet is doing and it's wrong to promote an evil practice by cheating on their clients in this way. I would suggest all the viewers who will be reading this should make a conscious and informed decision to approach hotel sonnet in hosting any of their life events since the service of hospitality is so poor and pathetic. Don't make these hotels screw up your events because they don't care about your emotional and financial investments.
