The Birla Temple needs no introduction, as it's immensely popular both amongst the locals as well as tourists visiting the City of Joy, Kolkata. During my visit post the lockdown period in the month of September (2021), I was really impressed to experience the magnificence and the ethereal resplendency of this gorgeous white marble temple. Before entering the temple, you need to deposit your shoes and bags in the room located at the right-hand side of the staircase. Mobile phones were asked to be switched off and photography was not permitted inside the temple's premises. Strictly following all the Covid-19 protocols, wearing a mask was mandatory while entering the temple. The main attraction of this temple is the Radha Krishna Mandir, which is located in the middle of the three temples. It's indubitably one of the most marvelous temples that you will come across in India. Recommended to visit. 🙏🏻

I give 4* for infrastructure cause I think it's similar to Jagganath ji temple. During entry time phone shoes are not allowed and main thing is pictures are not allowed. So just go and Dhrasan our beautiful radha rani and krishna ji shiva ji and gnesha. I loved the way idols are decorated and the atmosphere is too cool. But staff nature so so rude like we take their mandir to our homes. So if it is your 1st time visit avoid staff, guards behaviors. They spoil your devotion mood at the gate point.

One of the most beautiful temples I've ever been to in my life. Visited this yet another amazing creation on 2nd Dec 2023, and here's how my experience was: -No ticket is required - At the entry, you'd find 1-2 guards deployed at the staircase(way to reach the trample). The guards won't allow any bag or luggage inside, hence, keep your belongings at home before visiting this temple. OR in case you unknowingly bring your bag, you can request the guard to keep a look at them until you return back, but do make sure that you don't have any valuables within the bag, just in case. -Try visiting the temple towards the evening, as you will get to witness this religious place with lights, making it worth the visit. -The shoes/sleepers need to be submitted at a dedicated room they have towards the right once you enter the temple. Also, at your return, they might ask gently for some money for their shoe keeping service, or you yourself can willingly offer the same. - The temple contains extremely beautiful level of idols. Idols of Lord Shiva, Radhakrishan ji, Ganesh ji, Hanuman ji, etc some others can be found here. -The idols are medium-sized and way too peace-giving that it'll just fill your mind, body, and soul full of peace. - Important: Mobile phones are allowed but clicking photos or making videos is strictly prohibited. The guards deployed once you enter the main premises, especially for this , can catch you very easily. Hence ,try not to click unless you are an expert with your tricks(like me) *wink emoji* - The temple is maintained clean, with almost little to no sound once you go inside the main architecture. -One can sit on the ground and pray too. The sitting space can be spotted easily as there already might be people sitting/worshipping at those dedicated places. - You can also communicate with the guards(ofc) to gain deeper insights about the history of this temple. Overall, worth the visit from my perspective. There's something magical about the idols that once you watch them , you'd find yourself in a peaceful state of mind. Let me know once you visit it after watching this review.

A wonderful architecture that will make you amazed. All the temple is made with white stone. And the design of the temple is so beautiful that you will love it. Photography is highly restricted so I can not take any photo. This is a Hindu temple of Radha Krishna and maintains by India's biggest commercial group Birla. A must visited place of Kolkata. At night colorful lights give a beautiful look to the temple.

Very nice place at evening time...very cool and the staff behaviour is good. Easily accessible location, environment is peaceful, staffs are helpful too. A great temple situated by the birla family! With a great attracting architectural works! Best place for sitting some time to get peace because the best part is they don't allow switched on phones inside! Best time to go there is the evening. Birla Mandir is a stunning structure that adorns the streets of Ballygunge, Kolkata dedicated to Lord Krishna and Goddess Radha. An imposing structure amalgamating traditional style of architecture with modern reflections, the temple is the perfect specimen of craftsmanship and engineering genius.

This place is healing my soul.. 😇 People come from far and wide to visit the temple. It is a Hindu temple, its environment is very calm and beautiful, there are also pooja arrangements. Outside the temple there is a shop for puja items. Loved watching the Aarti in the evening. Photography is prohibited inside.

Birla Mandie in Kolkata, India is a Hindu temple at Ballygunge. Build by the industrialist birla family in late 1990s. This temple houses the diety the mighty romantic pair of Lord Krishna-radha, along with lord Shiva and goddesses Durga . On janmashthami birthday of Krishna devotees come from far away places to pay their respect to the dirties. The serene and sublime atmosphere of the temple offer much peach and tranquility in the mind. It is one of the much visited spot in Kolkata.

Nothing to say much, just amazing temple with amazing view in heart of the city. Anyone would love the place, feels like any temple of Odisha. Soo beautiful and peaceful vibes inside there. You can spend as much time there but try to go before 11.00 am or after 4.00pm. Don't carry bags because they will not allow or have facility to keep baggage. Beautiful architecture in the middle of city Kolkata.

A beautiful and serene temple located at the heart of the bustling city. The temple premises are very neat and clean. The temple has idols of Radha-Krishna, Shiv ji, Durga maa, Hanuman ji, Ganesh ji, and different avatars of Krishna. The temple is well maintained and has a divine atmosphere. The pandits and working staff are polite and strict about cleanliness. Photography is strictly prohibited inside the temple. In the evening, the aarti starts at sharp 6pm everyday. There is a place to keep shoes at the downstairs of the temple.

This temple has one of the most beautiful krishna statue i have ever seen in kolkata. This temple is beautiful. It also has statues of all the avatar of Lord vishnu. The only negative thing about this place is they won't let you take pictures inside the temple.

One of a popular tourist place for a mesmerizing structure. Very well maintained and clean following all the COVID protocol. You have place to keep shoes and mobile needs to get switched off. The staffs are very rude, they do spoil your mood to be in a devotional mood. Rather the poojaris inside are money grabbers. They call you for tilak and onspot asks you for money. They make you feel so guilty if you don't give at least 10INR in their hand. One time visit is OK.

We reached at the temple around 4PM. There was no proper parking space and they charge 10₹ for two wheeler. The temple opened at around 4:30 PM. They asked us to keep our shoes on the foot walk which was near to the main road. The security officers behaviour was rude. Photography is strictly prohibited inside the temple. The temple is really beautiful. Must visit one time if you are in Kolkata.

This mandir is designed entirely with white marble and managed by the staffs really well all the god and goddess statues are dressed so nicely That will blow up your mind just by looking at them they donot allow to click puctures inside the mandir's vacinity so couldnot click much also if you are planning to carry your luggage then will recommend you to donot do that because there is no place to stow your luggage in the mandir clock room.

Marvellous place for worship. The temple is an architectural brilliance. Very neat and clean. Entry cost is free. In this pandemic time, they are allowing maximum of 25 peoples at time. People are required to be in queue by maintaining distance for entering temples premise. Photography is prohibited. But one can capture from outside the temple. The temple authorities urge everyone to switch off phone before entering. There is no designated parking space. One can park their two/four wheeler behind the temple. There are no one to look at the parking road. Besides the road there is quite dark. So you've to park at your own risk. For the first time goers, use Google maps. It's supremely accurate. I went with the help of G maps!

The ambience is wonderful and you will forget all your sadness and negative thoughts once you enter here. 4/4:30 PM is the entry timing ( do ensure before going ) and don't wear boots as it's a mandir so you will have to open and keep inside a designated area. Now it's totally worthy place to visit. Photography is not allowed inside the temple so bad news for photographers and selfieholic people, yes on the stairs outside at the bottom part ( outside premises) you can take pictures for memories. Have a good day if you visit and try to visit on non occasional days for better experiences.

Temple is beautiful from inside. To see the beauty from inside you should go in evening time. Parking facility is also not much good over there.

I am happy to write a five-star review for Birla Temple, one of the most beautiful and well-maintained temples in Kolkata. I recently had the pleasure of visiting this temple, and I must say that I was thoroughly impressed with the entire experience. First and foremost, the cleanliness of the temple is truly commendable. The temple premises are spotless, and the surroundings are very well-maintained. It's evident that the management of the temple takes great pride in keeping the place in pristine condition. The architecture of the temple is magnificent, and it's a sight to behold. The intricate carvings, the stunning pillars, and the overall design are a testament to the exceptional craftsmanship of the builders. The temple's serene atmosphere and peaceful surroundings add to the beauty of the place. The staff at the temple are very polite, helpful and friendly. They are always ready to assist visitors and guide them through the temple. Their warm hospitality and pleasant demeanor made my visit all the more enjoyable. Overall, I would highly recommend visiting the Birla Temple to anyone visiting Kolkata. The temple is not only a spiritual haven but also a cultural landmark, and a true testament to India's rich heritage. It's well worth a visit, and I guarantee you won't be disappointed. Five stars, without a doubt!

A great place to visit. There are 3 idol of goddess Matadi , Radha Krishna and Lord Shiva. And in the another side (opposite of Shiva) there are Ganesha and in the opposite of Matadi there are Hanuman ji. I'm between Hanuman ji and Matadi there are 10 avatars of Krishna. It is one of the most peaceful temple I have ever visited. The temple situated on a very popular place of Kolkata. It is in Ballygaunj (Guru Saday Dutta Road) . You can get Haldiram's near to the place. Overall Ballygaunj Birla Madir is on of the very good place for all the ages people. But one thing to mention is no photography is allowed. You can take photo of the temple only standing out side of the temple.

It's situated in the posh area of ballygunge. Devotees are not allowed to do photography inside the premises. It's very serene and very beautiful temple. The temple is exquisitely made with marble and there are different hindu deities placed inside the temple.

It is a beautiful temple and the architecture is amazing. It opens exact at 4:30 pm and because of the covid you have to make a line at first but it's not too big. Cameras are not allowed and you can only stay in the temple for 10 to 15 mins but it will be worth it. Quest Mall, Haldirams, bus stand are all nearby.

Based on Structural and ambiance view the temple is mind blowing . There are so many gods are live here Hanumanji , ganeshji , Dashavatar of vishnuji and Radhakrishnaji , lord shiva , and goddess santoshi mata . But somthing is not okay at all .. that is there are no place for your extra bags or anything and the priests are so greedy they took the Pranami money as they took for there own . And the security are so strict they don't give permission to stay bit longer thank your walking speed

A great place to visit. But in today's situation they are not giving any independence to sit in the floor... even they don't give the permission to stand for few minutes. But instead of that the temple was really giving peace in mind. The sculpture on the wall of temple is excellent.

A wonderful Temple with a nice architecture. We visited this place in the time of Covid-19. There were many restrictions which were being maintained by the respective authority. We had to stand in a queue, we had wear face mask. Nobody can take any pic inside of the temple. Phone has to be switched off before entering into Temple. We couldn’t sit for a while inside of the mandir. The Temple is so clean and spacious. It was not dirty like other temples. We took two pictures from outside of the Temple.

I visited during pandemic time so it was all deserted! No one was there except 5-6 people and caretakers of temple! I enjoyed the beauty of temple. Construction is huge! I felt nice seeing tram passing by temple. I gave 4 rating because I was annoyed by priests who were asking for donations.

Birla mandir also known as Radha Krishna mandir in Kolkata, built with beautiful architecture. Located at very beautiful location. This mandir have three sections with radha krishna idols at in main centre. Also you can see all the avtars of lord vishnu in this temple. The temple have various timings of opening in a day. Ideal time to visit here is of evening time near 5pm when aarti is being performed. You can also find Kolkata's iconic tram 🚋 moving on road just facing this temple🕌. No pictures are allowed to be taken inside mandir. You need to put your phone📱 switch off before entering. Also they follow strict covid 😷 protocols., which is really appreciable.

Marvelous architecture can be seen. Birla Company has made this temple for Prabhu Krishna and Mata Radha. So it's a divine place for Hindus. If you enter the temple, you will feel so good and some spiritual thoughts will work in your minds. Location: not too far from Quest Mall

Located near Ballygunge Phanri, this Marble Temple was constructed in the year 1996 and is dedicated to Lord Krishna. Very neat and clean, well maintained temple in the heart of the city. There are also small shrines of Lord Hanuman, Lord Vishnu and his 10 reincarnations, Lord Shiva. Photography inside the premises is strictly prohibited.

Very beautiful temple, very imposing structure. Beautiful idols of the gods and is a serene atmosphere. Enjoyed the visit to this place. Must visit.. The Birla Mandir complex also houses a temple dedicated to Buddha along with fresco paintings describing his life. The temple also has separate shrines for other gods such as Shiva, Ganesh, Saraswati, Hanuman, Brahma, Lakshmi and Saibaba. In the evening, Birla Mandir presents a spectacular sight upon illumination.

It is one of the tourist spots of Kolkata. It has many deities located in it. The structure is humongous, made by Birlas, and definitely deserves admiration. I recommend you to visit this place on monsoon day. Entry: Free Advertisement: Make your English STRONGER than before. Search "English Tuition by Supratik Chakravarty" on Google.

The architecture of Temple describes ancient hindu history. Birla Fondation established this marvelous temple by white marble rock. Basically it is a Bishnu temple as well as many hindu God are located in this temple. Temple is situated on South kolkata. My experience is too good. When I was entering in a temple, the mesmerizing architecture was surprised to me. Temple's roof was also very good. Many devotees were chanting in front of main mandir. If you will come in kolkata must visit Birla mandir. But Photography is probihited in this temple.
