it is a great place, made by Malay Mukharjee sir, here you will feel like being at real base camp. An artificial rock climbing wall has been made where one can climb. Ice axe, shoes, water bottle, compass, that was used in 1960s and 1970s expedition can be found here. Letter of Sherpa Tenzing Norgey, piton of chris Bonington, scarf of 1st everester zunko taibei, Portrait of Tenzing Norgey, Sir Edmund Hillary, Bachendri Paul, Radhanath Sikdar, are here in this museum. Soil and water from 7 highest peaks of the world that was brought by Everester Satyarup Siddhant is here. Malay Mukharjee in 2004 during his Chandrabhaga14 expedition has collected the wreckage of the flight accident of 1968, he has kept that here in the museum. Along with the historical equipment of mountaineering, modern equipment also can be found. Those who love mountaineering, this place is heaven for them....it is expected to be inaugurated on 29 may.

What a place, if you are a mountain lover and find your wisdom from the mountain this is the place to be. When you enter the room the mesmorise music and the beautiful light will take to the next level of wisdom. Must visit, You will find here the mountain stories from 1924.... What a place must visit.

This initiative by the famous mountaineer and Mt. Everest summitter Malay Mukherjee is a completely new concept introduced in the mountaineering fraternity of India. This place not only consists of unique artefacts from different countries of significance and notable expeditions, but also a library on adventure and mountaineering books. Most attractive part of the museum is the paintings of the famous peaks, and mountaineering legends like Tending Norgay, Sir Edmund Hillary, Reinhold Messner, George Mallory and many others. Most importantly, you will be rewarded with the opportunity to interact with the legendary mountaineer Malay Mukherjee upon your visit to the museum. This is a must visit place for all mountain lovers.
