Visited along side my family and we were completely satisfied with how great of an experience we all had. The food for a start was exceptional, the scallops and mussels went down a treat! And the sharing platter was more than enough between two people. The staff were so friendly and helpful, that’s including the pub dog who is lovely. The atmosphere and decor was charming and casual, the location was really good. Close to many attractions such as a few vineyards which we had visited prior.

Very pretty country pub situated, between Ashford and Rye. Idyllic views to be seen in the day and at sunset. Lovely Sunday menu with very generous portions as well. Definitely revisiting in the future.

Excellent! The burger inside a wrap was delicious and a twist on the usual thing you would expect. My wife had the seafood pasta which was great. The bread and cheese starter was really tasty. Great latte in high glass cups and brownie and ice cream. The service was also top notch, always checking on us without being too much, great tone and care. And in the sun the setting was lovely and with little wind on the outside tables.

Very tasty food and very friendly Service (also for dogs :D) Our favorit Pub in Stone in Oxney/ Appledore. The Backgarden and the view in the Front ist very nice. There is an opportunity that you can get free Wi-Fi (the password is noted on a blackboard inside). The price-performance ratio is very fair.

Excellent food best in the area ..we eat their regularly ..Sunday lunch, steaks and devilled kidneys we especially good. Very nice in summer too outside ...and very cosy in winter. Staff are lovely as well. You do need to book but I find can always get a lunch booking after 3pm on the day

Great food, way above usual pub food, with a lot of options. We had melted Camembert, escallops and rib eye steak, simply delicious. Quick and efficient service, and a friendly dog! Wouldn’t hesitate to come back.

This may be the saddest charcuterie board I have ever seen and it’s a sharing board for 2😂🤣 Got spoilt with 2 olives, 1 slice of gherkin and 1 piece of sun dried tomato each.

Ate here today, service was appalling - staff were miserable & as unhelpful as possible. Food was nice although the roast was pretty small for the price, 2 very small slices of lamb for £22.95. Pie was good although more veg would have been nice, burgers were delicious. Just such a shame the service was so bad.

Great place to have dinner or a pint but be prepared to pay for the quality you will be getting. Overall a lovely little place and I recommend the lamb as it was delicious.

Lovely food - gently imaginative, well prepared and presented. Managed to serve 20 of us in double quick time extremely efficiently. Nice pint of house ale, too.

We visited on 24th September lunchtime having booked several weeks prior. On arrival we were told there was a problem with the water and therefore there were no vegetables etc provided with the meals. This was very disappointing as we felt the pub could have sourced large bottles of water to cook with or even provided tinned vegetables. No reduction was given to the menu with regard to no vegetables, despite asking for this.

The food was exceptional, lovely bread, hard to resist spoiling your appetite! I had a lovely melting baked Brie starter and the Romney lamb main course, probably the most tender I’ve ever had. I only wish I had had space for a pudding! I will be back!

Took my family for a special occasion and was not disappointed. Lovely rural pub, exceptional food and service. Everyone left feeling very satisfied and full, will definitely be visiting again soon. Thank you.

Enjoyed a laid back Sunday roast here. We booked but didn’t really need to. More pricey than we were expecting. Good portion size.

Good food & service apart from my daughters goats cheese salad, literally a piece on goat cheese on undressed leaves. All massively overpriced. £250 for 5 with just one drink each(one being water) for standard fairly good pub food. Won't be back.

Great food, really friendly staff and more pub dogs than you can shake a stick at. Food was way above your standard pub food! Also great veggie selections on the menu. Highly recommend.

We had a very disappointing meal last night. Goats cheese starter was cold, too much cheese. The main courses: sole was undercooked, the pork chop was very tough and over cooked. My mother had the burger which was served on flatbread? not a burger bun which was awful and the meat had chorizo mixed in which made it greasy and inedible. The wrong order was brought for my father. We had to send the white wine back as it tasted odd. The venue is lovely, the staff very friendly and efficient but the food totally lets it down and over £200 for 5 was really disappointing. We live locally.

Lovely place for lunch on a summers day. Dogs welcome in beer garden and bar area. Food really good quality, reasonably priced. Staff very friendly, our orders seemed to get forgotten but bar staff apologised for delay and we were happy with meals when they came. Car park opposite which is free and has lots of spaces.

We took my inlaws to the Ferry Friday lunchtime. It was one of the best meals Ive had. Had fish of the day, turbot. Absolutely delicious.Charming helpful young man behind the bar.

Good selection of food on the menu. We were a party of 10 and food all arrived at same time🙂. I had a Sunday roast, which came with cauliflower cheese, roast potatoes, roasted carrots and beetroot, broccolli and a Yorkshire. They will do a smaller portion if you don't have a huge appetite. Did was nice ( although a little too salty for my liking, but that's a personal preference) Good selection of traditional desserts. There were vegetarian options but not many. Lovely fire in main pub which created a cosy atmosphere. The pub was next to an old toll Bridge so was steeped in history. Plenty of outside space for those who want to eat/ drink outside and has plenty of parking. Would recommend.

Excellent pub, food was great and the staff were brilliant. We had a massive table of 20 or so and they did a great job fussing after us. We must have been pretty annoying ordering drinks to the table willy nilly but they were only to pleased to help out. Would definitely go again. Well done!

Nice and cute place to spend time here and try amazing food. Honestly, this was the best Sunday roast I’ve tried yet. Everything was cooked perfectly. Staff here is super friendly, helpful and professional. Coffee also here is really enjoyable. We had an amazing experience here after long day spent on the beach.
