Used to love coming here as a kid. Have so many memories. Cove Communities bought the property in 2017/2018 and took the fun out of the place by removing basically everything that used to made this place great. It’s a shame knowing that I’ll never get to experience that again.

We drove home from our Maine vacation a day early. Point Sebago Resort has great marketing materials, really good resort amenities and poor accommodations. Our 2 bedroom cottage was an old mobile home that was crammed next to another one. Decks & fire pits are in the front yards across from each other. About 10 feet apart from each other-not at all conducive to a quiet evening in nature. The bottom deck stair was broken, the lock required a lot of wiggling, the beds creaked every time you moved and the futon cover was gross. Oh, and there were several missing screens so you could not open the windows. Also, cell service was horrible and internet worked only in the middle of the night. Too many people. Hundreds of cottages and campsites! The inability to reserve kayaks and canoes was disappointing. The young woman who was taking reservations at the marina needs some serious customer service skills training. Not coming back here to stay-expensive for a disappointing experience. Maine, on the other hand, is glorious!

This place is fantastic for families! Plenty for the kids to do in a safe environment. 3 beaches, a beautiful golf course, entertainment and even an inflatable water park for the kids! Great for the whole family. Plenty of restraunts on site and around, close to Portland and the coast for day trips and equidistant to the white mountains, hiking, and trails galore!

This is season 7 for us at PS and there was a change in ownership around 2018. Slowly the thing that made this place amazing were whittled away and COVID simply made it even faster. Fast forward to today 2023 and I’m excited to report that the place is almost back to the way it was 5 years ago with the exception of Chippy’s Camp (old timers will remember.) The activities calendar is full like it always was, the activities staff all seem to be having fun with the kids, (shout out to Tim!) and the live music at the bar and the beach stage have been great! The restaurant was renovated last year, the store a couple years ago, and the addition of the snack and ice cream walk up windows are awesome and very convenient when on the beach. I would recommend perhaps some sort of movie time where adults could go to the live music or happy hour while the children are watching a movie this would be a great idea IMHO for those who have younger kids who can’t play by themselves, but would give the parents some time to enjoy some adult amenities. Overall it seems the new manager is actually listening to the customers and is being PS back almost completely to its original form, great job!

Point Sebago has tremendous potential. Location is awesome. Facilities are good. Food is edible. Staff certainly tries. They seam to be disconnected with management. For $400 a night and being charged at every turn they could do better. Entertainment is horrible. It’s sporadic in the qualities not great. It’s common to hear people complain about whoever’s running the entertainment should be fired !!!!!!! A $50 Bluetooth speaker isn’t entertainment…….

Each cabin has it’s pros and cons. the beach is wonderful and the accessibility to get around is wonderful. I wish there were more kid programs, especially for smaller kids - under 5. It’s an expensive holiday for a week, but it is nice having everything there. There is a shop to grab things like ice, snacks, etc, but it’s very expensive. For example, two pool noodles were $22, where as any other store would be like $5 each. If you go, rent the golf cart. You won’t regret it!

We enjoyed several days here. The lake is beautiful! The staff that worked with us were friendly and helpful. There was a full schedule of activities.

Private homes & rental units (essentially trailers on permanent foundations with sun rooms attached) + campers area's. Varying levels of comfort.

The Point Sebago we know and love is back. Due to Covid and new management, there were a few "dark years" of lessened activities However, this year a full activity schedule and themed weekends are back, including... The coveted "I won it" t-shirts.

Excellent camping resort. Courteous staff, activities are plentiful, and the beach on the lake is a nice spot. Not overcrowded and perfect for swimming. Also used the marina to rent a boat. Rates, staff and accessibility were all great. Will return for a future visit.

Super clean, family friendly, Maine resort. We haven't stayed overnight on the resort but we got to enjoy some of it's beauty with friends who are with the Freedom Boat Club. Ample parking, phenomenal lakefront beach, playground, water pad, and lunch at The Landing / Beach Pavilion was very enjoyable. Live music started just as we were leaving. Would definitely return.
