Paige (I think that’s her name!) was very nice, but I didn’t notice until I got home that there was a lock of hair near my face that was an inch and a half longer than everything else. It wasn’t that it should have been brushed differently or anything. It was just missed by her. And there was another small chunk (like 30 hairs or so) on the OTHER side which was missed as well. I had to break out some scissors and cut it myself. My entire appointment from walking in the door, shampoo, haircut, blow dry and out to the car lasted 35 minutes. Which is cool if you can do it well. Not cool if you can’t.

I went to this salon for the first time today, my only regret is wishing I had known about them years ago! Tracy was not only friendly and articulate, her knowledge about what she does is incredible! I couldn’t be happier with the results, my hair was in terrible condition! Tracy brought back life to my hair and gave me a confidence boost at the same time. I highly recommend!

I treated my 92 year old mother to a nice hair trim, manicure, and even a quick pedicure. The young woman who tended to Mom was perfect not only in her talented way of doing her job but also for being very kind to listen to ALL my mother's stories. My mother was so pleased with the whole time she was there which was wonderful for me to experience as well. Looking forward to our next visit. Two more visits and all the ladies will know more about my life than I do!!!

We have regularly visited Hairbenders for years. The staff have always been very friendly and courteous. It also carries a wide variety of hair products to purchase.

Always a welcoming experience. I am always happy when I leave. Decent prices. Great products and services. And smiling faces

Great service, location, and pricing

We are visiting Maine for a friends wedding and being that we are all unfamiliar with the location, we took a leap of faith when picking a salon. I’m pleased to say we couldn’t be happier with the end result! Tracy was the master hair stylist who made us look wedding fabulous ! She was able to flawlessly replicate what we wanted and took her time on each of us. Additionally, the salon itself is large, clean, and offers a large selection of coffees and teas. If you are getting married in Maine, I would definitely recommend Hairbenders salon, and Tracy as the stylist guru.

Always get good haircuts. Atmosphere is warm and friendly.

I had my hair and makeup done here for an Acadia Elopement. I sent photos ahead of time for what I hoped each to turn out (there was no trial as I was traveling). The staff was wonderful from beginning to end. I was unsure of weather, booking a month out, so they allowed for me to hold a rain date and decide the week of which day to go with. Both the hair and makeup turned out wonderful and I can't say enough positive things about the entire staff.

I have to say, pretty disappointed… I only go twice a year for a haircut so you want it to be a special experience, and this time we felt as we were rushed we didn’t get what the deep conditioning treatment the appointment was for, and I had to blow dry my daughters hair while my hairdresser watched me and took a seat the whole experience was unsatisfactory and we won’t be returning.

Maybe if they return at least one of our calls I’ll amend this review. Three calls have gone unanswered now. Three. Here’s your star.

First time here. I waited at least 2 weeks for an appointment with a hair stylist who has experience with extremely straight, long hair. I needed a trim with layers. My stylist worked ever so softly to take a little off layer by layer. Nothing special. (she didn't really "work" it) When I got to the front desk it was $55! I gave a 20% tip because Michelle was very sweet. When I got home my husband didn't even notice anything different about my hair. Not one bit. Neither did I, quite frankly. And I'm out $70 :( Blah is all I have to say. Think I might head to Walmart for my next "trim".
