Goverdhan Parvat, where Lord Krishna had saved the life of people from angry Indr Dev. The environment is really amazing and soothing. Stay safe from monkey . And now really very much developed, also the kacha parikrama is very beautifully developed by Uttar Pradesh Government. Also the forest department is looking for the welfare of the Lord Parvat. Also a very peaceful and beautiful place every one should visit. Must do parikrama of Goverdhan Parvat.

Goverdhan hill is sacred site as it is relating to lord Krishna. Every day, devotees from round the world come to this place to do the parikrama (circumambulation) of the hill. However, a large gathering can be witnessed on the pious occasions of Guru Purnima and Govardhan Puja. This entire parikrama is about 23 km which takes around 5-6 hours to complete. Parikrma can be done by walk, E rickshaw or own car (if traffic is not there). There is many famous temple in the way of Goverdhan parikrma.

It is a 7 kos or 21 km parikrama (circumambulation). Rest of you all must know that Shri Krishna ji raised this entire mountain on his finger to save the people of Gokul from Indra, as it is written in our scriptures.๐Ÿ“– Therefore this mountain is worshiped and people parikrama (circumambulate) it as per their wish. If you do not want to parikrama (circumambulate) it on foot or lying down, then you cannot parikrama it with your vehicles, for this you will get electric autos and rickshaws. Apart from this. You will also find many water temples in this parikrama and there are also restaurants, hotels.โ›ฒ Apart from these, temples of Shri Krishna ji, Radha Rani ji, and many other Gods are also seen in the parikrama. and many kunds in which the most revered Radha ji is the kund of Kishan ji. And after the end of the parikrama, there is a grand temple of Shri Krishna ji, in which the parikrama ends after the worship...... Radhe Radhe Radhe Krishna ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ™‚

I don't know where to even begin for this place. I am sure every one is aware the history of this place. Moving on, this place has two parikramas, called Badi Parikram of 11kms and Choti Parikrama of 10kms. We did the Big one on foot and the small one on E-rickshaws.Before beginning the parikrama you have to visit the Danghati Temple. This parikrama has so many temples in between, animals and birds in the path, lots of devotees on foot and even those laying down every step, words are not enough to showcase the radiance of this place. Jai Shree Krishna.

Govardhan Hill or the Giri Raj is situated at a distance of 22 km from Vrindavan. It has been stated in the Holy Bhagwat Gita that according to Lord Krishna, Govardhan Parvat is not different from him. Therefore, all his worshipers worship the pure rocks of the hill just like they worship his idol. The hill is made up of sandstone and stands 80 ft tall with a circumference of 38 km. Some interesting places one gets to visit the hills including Mansi Ganga, Mukharvind, and Daan Ghati. History says that Lord Krishna lifted the Govardhan Hill during his childhood on one finger to save his village of Mathura from fierce rains and thunderstorm. This hill is thereby considered holy and is visited by worshipers on Guru Purnima, Govardhan Puja in devotion by walking 23 km barefoot around the mountain. After Lord Krishna had saved his village, he told everyone to worship the hill which is why Govardhan Puja is a day after Diwali. It is a serene place, and definitely, a must visit!
