It was my first time visiting Tulsa Zoo & I would definitely recommend it. We visited on a Sunday and arrived about 11 am. The wait time to purchase tickets at the gate was a bit long. We purchased the majority our tickets online, but we needed to purchase 4 more at the gate. Our wait time to purchase tickets at the gate was about 15-20 minutes. The line for members & online tickets moves much faster! We enjoyed all the exhibits & park...especially the Dinosaur Exhibit! The Dinosaur Exhibit is a temporary exhibit through the end of summer 2022. There is an additional cost to enter. My only reason for 4 star review is restroom cleanliness. I'm happy they take such good care of the animals, exhibits, habitats and grounds but the restrooms need more frequent cleaning. Overall...great zoo to visit!

Quiet a nice zoo. Been to many across the U.S. and this is a favorite. Our visit was over Thanksgiving week so the zoo had already switched over to it's winter displaying of animals. Some were inside and not able to be seen outside but it didn't effect the experience. This zoo is laid out extremely well. The course you follow wound through so many interesting sights that it didn't seem long or tiring, even for an old man like me. My two grandsons, ages 8 and 3, had a blast. There is a very good and fairly large playground near the middle of the journey so adults can sit and rest while the kidos burn off energy. Great idea. Price was right. Not too crowded. Weather was great, especially for late November, and I was with some people I dearly love. Very great experience.

Great zoo. Allow at least 2-3 hours. Lots of fun play spaces for the young ones as well as beautiful animal exhibits. They have penguins among their animals . I would love to visit here again!

Beautiful day! Reasonable cost for entry. Sad Red Pandas weren't out on display yet, but hopefully soon. The animals that were out were beautiful and fun! Had a great day! Cannot wait to go back!

Tulsa Zoo is one of the places that going early is a must, due to possible parking issues. The lines can be long, but I commend the Zoo Staff for being efficient in processing the line at a decent pace. The park is large, plenty of places to eat, places for kids to play and have fun, and the overall experience is great. There were some exhibits that were closed due to preventing the spread of Avian Influenza. I commend the staff for taking the initiative and protecting the animals. It's a great experience for all and highly recommended to come here. Also, great idea to place an ice cream truck outside the park. Definitely got me feeling nostalgic. I regret nothing.

The architecture and atmosphere were wonderful. Such great interactive areas throughout the zoo, and a beautiful collection of animals. I've been to many zoos in many places, and this is now my new favorite. They had a huge children's area that seemed to accommodate every walk of use who wanted to have fun. Kids were having a blast out here, and the fun parents were having a good time too. Thanks to whoever raised the money to make such a cool zoo and play area. The only thing missing would have been a splash pad. Maybe it would drive more people to visit because they wouldn't have to pick between a water park and the zoo.

Nice large Zoo with a ton of exhibits. Cute little train does a loop around, and can catch it halfway if your're tired and need a lift back to the front. It drops you off right by the carousel. Plenty of cool indoor exhibits as well. Also a petting "children's zoo" and playground for the kiddos. Overall a nice place to spend a few hours.

Cleanest zoo I've seen yet I think. My daughter loved it. They have a really big playground area for them to play and the exhibits are actually out and about. They have nice statues for u to take pics of the kids too

My family loves the Tulsa zoo! We have the annual membership and it is well worth the price. We go monthly and most time every other week. It’s become our favorite family tradition! My daughter loves seeing the moneys and goats. The updated playground can keep her entertained for hours, if we let her stay that long. The staff is always so nice and welcoming to us and every guest. The animals seem very content, happy, and well taken care of. I recommend the Tulsa Zoo to everyone who visit Tulsa and to anyone in the area with children the membership is worth it!

I'm giving the zoo five stars because I believe it is usually a five star experience. We really enjoyed it - gorgeous flower gardens, enough indoor options to give us a break from the heat outside, and the animals were will cared for. My kids loved riding the carousel, as well. Buyer Beware: ask what exhibits are closed before purchasing tickets. We were told at ticketing that the train was closed and we were okay with that. We were not told that half the zoo was closed. We hit blockades everywhere and finally went back to the carousel to ask the ladies how to get to the lions, giraffes, rhinos, and such. With orange blockades closing off walkways and an actual gate closing another, we went in circles for a while before finally asking. Yeah, literally half the zoo was blocked off. That was really disappointing. We're visiting from Texas, so we aren't members who can just return a different day. I wish we had been told before we purchased tickets. Even with that, it was still a fun experience and a beautifully maintained zoo.

I've been rolling the water globe for 30+ years now! This is by far our favorite zoo to go to. The animals are always on display and seem to be well taken care of. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Plenty of shade and the squishy ground areas are a nice relief from walking on the concrete all day. Plenty of things for small kids to keep them entertained.

I always went to Tulsa Zoo almost every year since I was baby and finally I can able to take my own family to Zoo this year for first time. My son enjoyed it a lot! Although it has been renovated exhibits for sea lions, giraffes, rhinos, tigers, and few other animals. We enjoying to eat at new restaurant. These playground is new to me, it’s similar to Gathering Place. We all love there to spend time at the Zoo.

The updates done at the Zoo are amazing! Love it. I have been going here since I was a kid. I use to make a joke the animals look dead. I can't say that anymore And! And the park inside the zoo is perfect for kiddos of all ages. Proudly of my City Zoo! Good Job Tulsa Zoo!

Awesome zoo. A lot nicer than I imagined. Make sure you buy your tickets online BEFORE going to the zoo. Great selection of animals including elephants, lions, giraffes, tigers, snow leopards, monkeys, fish, penguins, reptiles etc. Easy and free parking, lots of space for picnicking, lots of clean bathrooms... really well maintained.

My wife and I loved our visit. There is a wide variety of animals to see. Make sure to look out for non-caged native creatures also. Keep an eye out for "Easter eggs", hint: look for the wood carved owl sitting up in a tree near a food court. The Train ride is inexpensive so make sure to take a ride. We can't wait to go back!

Debbie was so incredibly rude today. I’m in there every Saturday and have never been treated so badly. The manager was super nice but Debbie ruined this location for me. Considering doing my shopping at Walmart for now on. After looking at reviews it seems I’m not the only one she’s been rude to.

Older lady working self check out on January 14th around 1pm was very disrespectful to every person she encountered. Kept walking up to every single person being rude and asking a thousand questions in which she would give her opinion. Over heard her tell a guy no way he’s that old and another girl the old people just keep getting younger. Didn’t feel like she is the right person for the job. Will not be coming back anytime soon.

Nope! Never again. Cherker was to busy gossiping and entertaining to do her job. She just stopped the whole check out line to catch up on her gossip. Five people in line and she just stopped checking anyone out while she gossiped. Stood in line for 10 minutes while she stood there chatting . When talked to manager, he told me that she liked to socialize with the customers. People have places to go and places to be and you can't just go to another chieck when this was the old person checking and the manager was rude when I complain to him about it. This town is to small to be sending people to Walmart if you don't like how the casher play. There is a reason that Walmart is a multi-Billion dollar a day corparation. Because of silliness like that. Will be doing my food shopping needs at Wal-mart for now on. They are always welcome to take mine and your money without being rude to their customers. It's a lot cheaper too.

This place was great! I hadn’t been in a long time! Many of the exhibits had changed and been cleaned up. Some of the animals had moved locations in the zoo. I really like the improvements that have been made and hope they continue to improve this great zoo! I really like how the Tulsa Zoo seems to place special interest in endangered species.

There is a good mix of inside and outside exhibits. There are plenty of benches to stop and rest and several large animal starues for children to climb and play. The huge play place in the middle is awesome for kiddos to take a break and burn some energy. The sea lion show was entertaining, informative, and fun!

Extremely clean and well maintained! Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, lots of shade and trees to get out of the heat, it was 100+ when we visited! Not crowded. Food and drink is very pricey but for a good cause! Would like to see misting stations for the summer and maybe and a water fountain or water jet play area to help beat the heat, this would definitely sweeten it foe family fun and relief from the heat! Still will return again soon! Thank u Tulsa zoo for a great weekend!

I Love this zoo, it has a lot packed in a small area, we went when the weather was nice so all the animals were out, missed quite a bit too, I loved the life trex and the rain forest building the most they took time making it kid and adult friendly, can even buy beer at any snack stand, prices were high but it helps keep the park open. I would recommend 💯

The zoo is always a great time. The landscaping is really nice. The recent updates to the animal enclosures are so natural and spacious. Certain times of day, however, the glass is impossible to see through due to it being so reflective. It is great to check your hairdo, but disappointing when you know the animal is so close. I am also disappointed in the train ride from the sea lions to the entrance. If you love large a/c units and warehouses, you will find it very educational. It would be nice to not be charged for that half of the train ride. We have family passes, which I highly recommend if you’re going to visit a few times a year.

This is a great Zoo for the size of the city and community it is in. The facility always keeps getting expanded and refreshed and is the perfect place for families and kids for spending the afternoon or longer. It is well organized and maintained and the exhibits are informative and interesting for all age groups. I have been an occasional out of State visitor when visiting the area over many years, but going to this Zoo with kids and other family members is always a fun and relaxing experience. There is also a little train that goes around, adding to the enjoyment and mobility around the place. Well worth the visit.

The store employees don't wear mask. Even the management goes around with their noses sticking out of their mask. This is their way of telling the customers they don't care about their safety. Filed a complaint with the Health Department. Hope they get fined for spreading the plague.

This place was soooo sick!! We came down from Missouri. And we have the St. Louis Zoo there. We walked through pretty quick with lots of time on giraffes tigers rhinos etc. took about 3.5 hours . If you have a few hours to kill or come to town for a concert like we did I’d recommend stopping by !!! Cost $28 for two adults and it was worth every penny!!!!!!!

I went up to the Tulsa Zoo yesterday to test out my new camera lens and see the beautiful animals. I was not disappointed! The staff at the gate were very friendly and gave me directions on where to head to first. All of the animals were incredibly active (the cooler weather helps!) and the exhibits had great viewing points for them. My largest complaint would be that several habitats felt a bit too small for their animals. Including the lions, and especially the Grizzly Bear (who suffer from boredom in most zoos. You always see them walking back and forth). Overall though, the Zoo is very clean and well taken care of. The exhibits are mostly nice, and the large majority of the animals seemed stress free, playing, and happy! For sure a fun weekend trip for the family in Tulsa.

I have loved the Tulsa Zoo for years. The Wild Kingdom is an excellent addition. This was our first time experiencing it. Also, the zoo is super child friendly! They have playgrounds that are better than city park play grounds! Finally, the accessibility ♿️ of the park is tremendous. The photos are of two of the bathrooms we saw. Tremendous job!

We LOVED the zoo so much last weekend that we bought the year membership so we can keep going this summer! I personally hadn't been in years I think my oldest was 4 part time we'd gone & he about to be 8 so several years & so much had changed! They've added several exhibits, upgraded the playground, added restaurants & a family area for feeding young ones, changing them, or just a quiet place to catch your bearings from all the activity! The animals were very active when we went, chimpanzees & sea lions really put on a show for us!! They're opening the new Zoorassic World exhibit this weekend (we got a small sneak peak see pics) & we are all so excited to go see it! It will be open until September so make sure to see it if you go in the next few months! I had so much fun I felt like a little kid again, my son can't wait to go back, & we've decided to have his little brothers Wild One party there in July!! Highly recommend the Tulsa Zoo if you get the chance!

Very unique zoo with great habitat layouts and many indoor enclosers! Felt bad for the snow leopards during the hot Oklahoma heat (see picture). Went to the first Zoo Nights on the Rocks and while a great idea, the event was not prepared for the number of people registered. If you are thinking of going, skip the drinks and enjoy all the zoo habitats. Lines were around an hour long to get a drink so we opted to get all four of our drink tickets at one station due to time. :( Go early so you do not miss the zoo keepers, animals or events as they close early due to sunlight. It was neat seeing the dinosaur exhibit too! The Zoo has said they are making changes to make the next events better and more prepared which is great! Playground is amazing and reminds me of The Gathering Place! Fun for the whole family!

I thoroughly enjoyed myself. You can tell they take amazing care of their animals. I do however, wish that the tigers and lions were more lively. Over all though, enjoyed the experience. Also, if needing a wheelchair, I'd highly recommend getting tickets and reserving an electric wheelchair in advance.

Big zoo to spend a day. It's a family friendly place where you can see many animals. It has couple of good food options. We tried family cheese pizza and it was good and worth the price. They have a zoo train which goes around the zoo. But you should pay extra for that. And one ticket is half way. If you want to loop the complete zoo, you should purchase two tickets.

This was actually a little sad for me. The very first thing we saw were the chimpanzees. They were laying around on the higher planks so it was difficult to see them. They weren't asleep, they were just laying there. One was munching and getting some water and seemed just fine but the other two looked sad. I visited all the other enclosures and other than maybe the bear who stayed in it's cave or the tiger that laid in the shade a few feet from a pool, everyone seemed pretty happy and cared for, but those chimps make me sad. I hope they're doing things to ensure the happiness of the animals there. It was pretty clean and the employees were helpful. The elephants were awesome and there's supposed to be more elephants coming. Everything drink and food-wise is pretty expensive but that's to be expected. If I went again, I'd go in the cooler weather and maybe see some happier faces lol

Stay on the south side of town if visiting and watch the GPS in your car it might be a bit off. Quick 4 min drive from our hotel. Clean and respectuful. Took nearly 4 hours go through entire zoo. Great way to spend a day with kids. Family friendly and one side note... Amy needed a motor cart for the day, they were out, so we rented a wheelchair. Just as we left the lady chased us down, no really chased us down and told us a motor cart came in. If you didn't have a belief in the human heart is good, this young lady proved it. What a great representation of a superior quality employee.

Went today for half price tickets with the family. Easy to navigate around. Parking is free and the staff are nice. The train ride costs extra for half a ride and more for a whole ride. Most eateries were closed as well as a few exhibits. A lot of the animals were no shows. Snow Leopards are beautiful. All of the displays could use enhancing.

This store is very nice and clean. And you can also order groceries and pick them up sometimes even the same day! I love this option. They also have a nice variety of foods and even some decent foods from other cultures. and I always love to look at their clearance and see if there's anything I could use. The only thing I don't like is having to use an app to use coupons. I don't like having to walk around the store staring at my phone trying to find the right coupon for the right product. But otherwise I still like using the coupons and saving money!

Went with 18 mo and he really liked to see all the animals live that he used to see in the books and TV. The seal show was his favorite. He didn’t want to leave the play area. We would have enjoyed it more if we reached there early. Many animals were sleeping or taking rest. I would recommend to not to go in the afternoon. The train was fun. Not many food options and the drinks are very expensive.

This zoo is unique, here you will not only see animals, you can also enjoy a beautiful picnic, as it has picnic areas, playground and contact farm for children, also if you do not want to walk a lot, you can do the tour in a Fun little train that drops you off at different stations. This zoo is wonderful, I loved it.

One of our favorite places in Tulsa! We come a few times a week. If you haven’t already come to see the baby tiger & the baby rhino they are worth the trip! There is also a new playground that you could easily spend hours at. Come on a sunny day and you won’t regret it!

Never get tired of going to the zoo. Love what they've done with their playground. New tiger exhibit is great! And the baby rhino is so cute.

We walked right in no waiting in line! Nice easy layout. Only 1 exhibit was closed. Got to see a great show put on my the Sea Lion and trainer! Great play equipment for the little ones. Wish we would have showed up a little earlier go to the petting zoo part but next time!

The zoo is not that big but there's a lot of amazing animals! My favorite is the rainforest. You see all kinds of creatures like frogs, birds, and all kinds of reptiles. If you like birds, they have all kinds of beautiful birds species. Outside the park, there's a river with big fishes! They are huge! 🦘🦒🦓🦙🦛🦜🦆🦅🌷🌸

We had a pretty good time here the kids loved the new dinosaur exhibit not sure if it was big enough though for the $6 per person charge plus $12 to enter the zoo. And they didn't have any of the birds out due to bird flu going around, I guess it's a big deal this time of year. But still a blast!

A nice zoo overall! Seems to be very family oriented and fun for kids. The petting zoo area is really just goats - but they're very friendly and affectionate. All of the animals here seem to be in good healthy conditions, with a few of them looking to be clear rescues who suffered some kind of injury before being brought here. I will say, The Jurassic exhibit didn't feel super worth it to me. It was only $6 extra for it but it was probably more meant for kids enjoyment/excitement as it was really just a little circle pathway with animatronic dinosaurs and an expensive gift shop at the end. At the end of our walk around the zoo, my friends and I did each get a bag collect rocks/gems to take home, which was pretty cool and fun.

Nice place to visit. They have some indoor places with nice temperature, outside was so hot. It is amazing for us and for the animals. I loved the tropical forest habitat. I felt like in Brazil with all the animals and the fresh weather. ❤️

This Zoo is such a nice place to visit. It brings me my childhood memories. I also like that they have a trail of different in-house themed enclosures for desert, sea, rainforest, and tundra environments. Though it is still best for animals to be in their natural habitat, the animals here look healthy and well attended.

Our first time visiting the Tulsa zoo. We were very disappointed to learn that the train was not working for repairs all week and that some of the exhibits including the flamingos was temporarily closed. The grounds are very pretty and very shady so that was a plus . Along with a lot of sitting areas and a big playground for the kids to enjoy. We ate lunch at the Macaw landing grill which the food was good and not too bad on prices. We also rode the carousel and went gem digging which was a hit for our family. Overall we had a great time and probably will go again in the future.

The weather was perfect for a zoo trip! We went in the afternoon so a lot of the animals were in prime nap time. The otter was very active and we enjoyed the rainforest exhibit! We caught the first part of the sea lion demo and the tail end of an elephant chat. Seeing the elephant climb all the way up on its hind legs made my 8 year decide elephants were his new favorite animals. 😍

It was a nice walk. Not too many people. They have a nice park for the kiddos. Didn't see many animals. No water stations but the food shops gave us free water.

So glad I got a free admission coupon, wouldn't pay to go to this zoo right now. So many exhibits and paths are closed. The train isn't running cause they are building a new exhibit. It is very hard to get around the zoo because of the on going work. The grass is so grown up you can't see the exhibits that do have animals in them. Most of the animals don't even have access to water in this July weather! It is sad truly use to be such a great place.

Had a wonderful weekend in Tulsa, and found it to be such an amazing Zoo. You can see all the animals really well, and the Zoo is spaced out well. So you get better views, and great pics for everyone.

If you want an excellent family experience visiting animals from all environments, the zoo is the right place. There are many natural, enjoyable, and well-rounded spaces, and there is space to stop and have a snack with the family outdoors in a pleasant atmosphere—a friendly place with comprehensive options.

:( There are lots of empty animal exhibits without any sign saying what's going on. Train closed 2 min before we got there, so we had to rush across the zoo before closing time.. the lady at the dirt dig seemed quiet and closed off. Not very talkative or friendly. The tiger looked stressed out and kept pacing. Other than that, everything was great. Thankful the gift shop let us buy even though we got to the door right at 5. The coin machines were expensive but cool. The fennic foxes were adorable.

We had a great time at the zoo today! Everybody was friendly. The animals were active despite the cold weather. If you are visiting Tulsa or even if you live here it's worth the trip. You'll have a wild time!

This zoo is a gem. It's not huge, but there is plenty to see. There's a train to take the kiddos on and play areas. Easy walking and beautiful landscaping, very clean.

I’m a bit disappointed… the tickets were expensive for a half zoo. They were updating a lot wich is fine but nothing on their website. The animal houses closing at 4 pm but entering the zoo is until 4. Makes no sense since you won’t make it to see the entire zoo. Half cages were empty but paying the full price. The restaurants were mainly closed abs the one that was open sells chips and other snacks for a horrendous price. The gift shop only for rich people since a toy cost 30-40$!! I guess you have to decide on your own if you can afford it. Kids will definitely have fun but I would not go there again. The map very confusing and the way the zoo is organized very strange… we walked in circles a lot and wasted so much time. Please make sure you come at latest at 1 pm to the zoo to see snd enjoy it all.
