I can’t point at one thing that’s great. Everything about the place, people ans food is an amazing experience. Planned to visit this place since my last two outings this year to Goa. Finally it happened. Reserve a table and go. The staff is cordial, they spend time in explaining the menu. Everything we order comes with describing it. Entire staff is so knowledgeable. Cocktails were amazing too. We ordered everything in desserts and ended up reordering a few of them. Ate more than we needed. Totally worth it! Cavatina team - you guys are amazing! Thanks for the experience!!

I wish i cud give this place more than 5 stars Cavatina means the first part of the song. The owner/ chef was inspired during his trip to Spain when he decided that he shud curate a special goan menu with a twist. i had the most amazing lunch of 2023 here. Its been a week of me being in South Goa and trying out all the eateries aggressively marketed on social media. All of them turned out to be duds and i was getting frustrated for the lack of having a good meal. The idea of holidaying in Goa is about having amazing food. Mother's recipe and Cavatina has made my trip down south worth and i wish i cud dine here every week First things first. Go only with a reservation. U don't wanna make a 60 min trip to here and get rejected. This place is immensely popular and they cannot accommodate walk ins Two. Go with an empty stomach. Cause u will probably be here a few hours eager to try everything on the menu Three. Make sure u have a designated driver cause u r sure r gonna get tipsy with all the amazing spirits on the menu Four . Wear stretchable pants. Have good company . This meal is gonna be a super memorable one. What star hotels lack is the attention to detail and personal interaction. Cavatina does away with all that as the chef has taken immense detail in crafting a menu with local ingredients and every morsel of food, you are transported to nirvana. I was lucky to be attended to by Presley. Like Elvis. Very efficient ,warm and with an infectious smile ,he had the tedious task of explaining each and every dish with its ingredients n condiments . He had memorized it very well and made sure i was well taken care of. So all in all this place gets a thumbs up from me . Its worth every penny. The idea of trying out small portions of tapas is brilliant because u get to taste so much variety without feeling full. But do go only if u have a reservation

One of my go to places to satisfy my taste buds. The food is excellent, the service is also great; it’s a great experience altogether. Kudos to chef Avinash for the spectacular menu and great execution in the food prepared. Recommend you visit multiple times to try out everything. They even have a chefs tasting menu which is really lovely. Recommend you reserve a table as they’re usually packed. It’s a must try if you’re in Goa and you want to experience some goan cuisine with a fine dining experience.

Must Go Place in Goa Cavatina by Avinash Martins is just plain simple FABULOUS 😍. If you are in South Goa, you must go there. If you are in North Goa, you must go to South Goa to go there. If you are not in Goa, you should go to Goa and go there. So, I went there knowing that it's a award winning restaurant and with high expectations; yet I was pleasantly surprised. Booking and Seating Booking a table is easy......you call them and make a reservation. Getting a table at the reserved time is still an issue understandably so. They can improve here. However, I was in the 25th -31st Dec week so everywhere there was a waiting. Dress Code Smart casuals is written. I saw male patrons get in, in shorts.....so shorts and loafers is okay. Waiting area They have a small seating area outside to relax while you wait your turn. Decor Very minimal, nothing extravagant.....just seashells and earthen pottery and cooking utensils adorning the walls. Bar They have a full bar available. No high chairs. Vegetarian Options Limited but very clearly labelled as VG and V. VG for Vegan and V for Veg. Food Complementary breads bite size of 3 tyoew and 3 local dips were offered to us before our order was served. Our table attendant explained everything and we were off to a great start.

We visited this restaurant today and food was outstanding. We hardly like any food when we travel but this was awesome and something different as well. Staff was really helpful finding and selecting dishes. All dishes were great and we immediately plan to visit again.

Cavatina by Avinash Martin's is situated in a very relaxed area of South Goa. The restaurant is known to be a favorite among celebrities. Their menu is uniquely crafted, featuring authentically prepared dishes. The restaurant has also made it to Conde Nast's list of the top 100 restaurants in India. During our visit, we ordered the MIT Miren (Veg), a curry cooked with raw mangoes, which was served in a coconut shell, giving it a distinct presentation. We also opted for steamed rice, served in a bamboo container, but the portion size was comparatively smaller than the accompanying curry Sopa se Letra was the soups we ordered and was supposed to come with pasta, but it surprised me with small chunks of noodles instead. To conclude our meal, we indulged in the chocolate and cherry tart, which turned out to be delicious. I must say the complimentary breads were freshly baked and the dips were uniquely crafted. Overall, I highly recommend this fusion restaurant. The food is delicious, the ambience is inviting, and the service is excellent. I would definitely return to this restaurant again.

This place is exceptional, India may not have Michelin stars but that’s probably because they don’t come and look! It’s fine dining at KFC money, staff, atmosphere and flavours are up there with anything I’ve had anywhere. If you’re near South Goa you simply have to go. Lists say it’s 12th best restaurant in India, if there’s 11 better than that I’d be amazed! Been here a week been twice and booking again before we go. You will not be disappointed

Really good service, great ambience and good food at quite reasonable prices. The servers are very knowledgeable and provide a classy experience. Recommended item to try out are the cigars, pastas and smoked duck breast. For dessert try out the chocolate and cherry tart. Reservations are recommended.

OH MY GOD!!!!! This place has insanely delicious food. Whatever you order- veg or non veg, had different experience for your taste buds and soul. For ordering GO BY CHEF'S RECOMMENDATION. These guys by End of the day sits and decide menu for next day. Honestly we were 4 people and we ordered so much that we had to join 2 tables. And the best part was even after eating this much because of the freshness of food we didn't feel heavy or other stomach issues which once can suffer from post having jumbo meals. CAVATINA promotes local artists for painting crockery, murals etc. So APART FROM FOOD THIS PLACE IS PLEASURE TO EYES. For starters we had poiezza( pizza)-mini pizzas using poie bread. CANT miss to mention grapefruit salad which helped us cleaning our palettes before switching dishes. Desserts are worth dying for. Very cozy warm ambience. Owner and servers are super chill. I will give 10/10 to this place.

Excellent flavour and portioning. We had the tapas tasting menu (5 starters) and skipped main course for dessert. Special props to Eddy! He was an added bonus to our meal. This is going to be a staple destination for me whenever I'm in Goa.

Have been to this place twice and both the times ordered tasting menu. It is like visiting the master chef kitchen. The presentation is unique and what they have done with local cuisine and elevated it to the level where it can easily have the international appeal keeping heart and flavours intact. Do visit for the unique and wholesome experience

Cavatina, one of the nice fine dining restaurants hidden in South Goa. You would definitely need a reservation for dinner. Though it's a small place, there were enough waiters for each table. Our waiter was very helpful, explained and suggested good options for the dinner. Taste was immaculate! We tried both veg and the fish options, both were off the roof. Portion could be a little better. If you want to try a new and fancy restaurant in South Goa then this is the place for you.

Awesome food and service. Visited it by accident, as the place we planned to visit for lunch was shut and their staff suggested this place. So we walked in and had little clue of the restaurant or its celebrity chef. Most of the reviews I read afterwards describe the place perfectly. The menu keeps changing so don't bother with checking out menu pics. Most of the staff has been with the restaurant for quite a while and they will help you out with suggestions,if you need. The important thing which I noticed was the attention to detail in every little thing that's associated with the restaurant, the food, the interior, the service and even the security staff. The Owner/ Chef Mr Martin greeted and spoke to us. It's expensive but then good things in life don't come cheap. Given a choice I would definitely go there again, this time would reserve a table cos otherwise you just have to be lucky like I was. PS. Try out their feni/urak cocktails. Simply superb

Hi Folks... Went to Cavatina by Avinash Martin's on a rainy afternoon in week 1 in July '23. It was a spur of the moment decision at 1 pm. We called the restaurant and they had tables available in walk in. We were staying in Varca, so the restaurant which is close to Taj Exotica, was just 2 km away. Three things which struck me about Cavatina's after I visited it A) The place is warm and cozy. There are about 6-7 tables. The interiors are done up well. The large glass windows allowed us to absorb the greenery outside. The staff were knowledgeable about the food and were attentive to our table. B) The food is presented very well.. all instagrammable. I liked the way the Ros Omelette was presented in a small trolley. The Cafreal nest was presented on a tree branch and the Cavatina cigars were presented in a cigar box. Also a lot of infused feni drinks. C) The food was tasty. You feel like trying a lot of the dishes as they are not the usual items you see at other places. Below are some interesting tidbits I picked up on the net about Chef Avinash -- In Chef Avinash's words: he wants to tell the story of Goan food that has never been told before The chef is creative with Goan food, but not the regular perception of it, which is limited to vindaloo, cafreal and xacuti. He dug deeper, understood the cuisine of the Saraswat community and the Bahujans. He traversed back a few decades to the aboriginals of Goa — the Velips, Gawda and Kunbi tribes — who were nomads and went to different patches, grew and ate out of them. He tried to incorporate the confluence of flavours and food styles into showcasing what real Goan food is about Below are some descriptions and stories about some of the dishes we had. Spanakopita made with red amaranth or tambdi bhaji, available in abundance in Goa Partra de Goa : banana leaf wrapped chonok (sea bass) with recheado verde and water chestnuts, This is the story of the dish : Prawns who drank the Feni. The video of the table preparation is posted. There are so many things in common between Bengalis and Goans… football, music and love for fish,’ says Avinash. The chef, who spent six months in Kolkata, was inspired by Daab Chingri and created a dish called ‘Prawns who Drank the Feni’, which comes in a daab and is flambéd with feni

A Truly distinctive experience at Cavatina..from the presentation of the dishes to the service of the staff, specifically Blencio, everything was taken care of. The chorizo cigars and café ale nest is a must try. We did go for the slow pork belly roast, a platter of meat, and stuffed chicken with spinach with a side of potato gnocchi. We concluded the meal with the homemade baileys ice cream which did not fail to disappoint.

Cavatina is by far the best restaurant I've eaten at for the will curated fusion of goan flavours blended into the most versatile and appealing presentation. My favourite cocktails are the ones having feni as the base that lift the spirit to an all new level. Using the native and seasonal flora and fauna are the true mark of experienced chefs Avinash and not to miss the fabulous desserts by Tiz.

The Food was superlative and menu excellently crafted and paired. Chef Avinash too was personally supervising what came out the the kitchen (which I give brownie points for) Staff very courteous and took time to explain the dish before ordering and when it was presented on the table. Few tables thus Book a slot before you head there.

Excellent to superlative food. Innovative menu, don’t go by what you see on food apps or elsewhere, they keep changing their menu. We went by the Chef’s recommendations and were more than glad. All dishes turned out be be super. The staff wer very patient with helping us decide and later explaining the contents of the dishes.

I was in goa for more than a week, this place had the best food. The server's had the best recommendation for someone visiting them for the first time, and they were really welcoming. I tried almost all kind for food from vegetarian pasta to all types of available non vegetarian variety. They have limited desert options but anything you choose from the list will definitely be amazing that's a guarantee

Cavitna Goa by Chef Avinash Martins… it’s a ln experience to dine here. The menu is carefully curated with the best ingredients giving your taste buds a joy. The presentation of the dishes and story/explanation by the server adds to the overall experience. I had requested for a small change owing to allergy to coconut and chef was more than happy to provide an alternate dish to suit my dietary requirements. Chef Martins gives you a very friendly vibe and was happy to accept our request for a photograph. Would love to visit again in the future.

Great food, great ambience. We were disturbed by a fly hovering over our meat but that isn't anyone's fault. Beware this dish can feed 3 people easily.

We visited The Cavatina for lunch and it truly is an amazing experience. The Tapas tasting menu is so delicious you never want to stop eating. We also had the Salmon steak which was yum. They also have a cheesecake which is made using jaggery. Trust me, it didn't even seem like the sugar has been replaced. The flavours in every dish we tried was perfect and the presentation is extremely neat. Chef Avinash Martins is a very pleasant man. We talked about how he has transformed some fisherman's recipes. Our captain Mr. Eddie was so polite and calm, he explained everything just perfectly. If you are in south goa, this is a must visit place. Kudos Avinash Martins and team.

Quite possibly the best food I've ever had. Certainly our best dining experience in Goa by miles. Our server was Darren, our host was Tiz and the chef was chef Avinash. The restaurant is owned by Tiz and Avinash who are married to each other and they have made this restaurant together and all their love and hard work shows in ever little detail. There are very few seats available at this wonderful restaurant, so if you're going to Goa call well ahead and book your table and BE ON TIME. We only got seats because of a no show. Do not miss out on Cavatina. The restaurant has a curated tasted menu which can be customised according to your allergies, likes and dislikes. For first timers, I recommend this. After trying some small plates as part of this Chef's Tasting Menu, you can decide what you want more of, if anything. The chef himself brought out the last item on the list. The drinks menu is comprehensive and Darren was knowledgeable about all of it. The servers can help you find just what you need. They had a small dessert menu of five items, and Tiz told us that was her contribution to the food being served. We shared a flan and it was delicious. She said that if we tried the ice cream, we could order two different scoops. Instead of two scoops of the same ice cream. The prices at this restaurant were really reasonable. In the bill they charged a minor 5% service charge, and we left a tip on top of that because we really enjoyed ourselves. This is a must do item on your Goa list. Honestly I'd come to Goa again just for eating here again, and I'll even book it twice to try different items. Congratulations on making such a wonderful restaurant, with such happy staff. It's really nice to see something small and wonderful that has clearly been nurtured with care and love.

Lovely place if you want to try something different. We kind a accidently discovered this place. I did not understand a word on the menu and hence we had to take the assistance of the waiter who was patient enough to known about our choices and recommend the dishes. Food is presented in a unique way. The taste was amazing. The staff were very friendly and did check on us frequently if we are doing good. Food portions are small, and price is quite high, its not a place where you can have a stomach full of Biriyani but to try and taste something new. Reservation is a must else the watchman will not even let you enter near the restaurant. Highly recommended and we would certain visit again when we are in south Goa.

One of the best food experiences I've had in my lifetime! If you are around this is a must visit place if you want to be in food induced coma. We tried the the Tapas menu and it completely blew us away. Each dish just oozes Chef Avinash's passion for taking Goan cuisine to unexplored destinations. The cocktails were also as delectable as the food.

Absolute delight to dine at this place. Everything was paid so much attention to detail - right from the hospitable staff to the interiors to the cutlery to of course the finger licking good food! We ordered Vegetable garden and Mutton Sukha from their mains menu and we washed the plates clean because the food was sooo good!

I am seriously limited by the number of stars that Google will let me use. This place deserves ten whole stars. The food was ambrosia and the feni and urak fueled cocktails were the perfectly concocted nectar of Gods. If you like outstanding food and service, support Cavatina NOW Kudos to Avinash on a fine execution.

All that one would wish for, to have a great dining experience. Friendly efficient staff, great fusion food, good service at every step, a diverse menu with the freshest ingredients. Had the cream of mushroom, the cowboy's grill, some lovely cocktails and desserts too. Best flan I have ever had.

Very good luxury dining experience in South Goa. The main course including Fish ambotic, veg xacutti and calamari butter garlic were really good and are absolutely recommended. Quantity was ample and it includes unlimited rice and bread. However the do not go for choice of 5 Tapas which they will offer as their speciality. Extremely Small portion of 5 different types of dishes for 1300₹. Although very artistically presented at master chef level, except for the smoked pork, rest were quite ordinary (taste wise) to be frank. Otherwise the overall experience was good from a luxury dining point of view. The dessert that was recommended by them - A three layered chocolate mousse infused with Baileys was out of the world and made up for all the negatives. Service was good but quite slow. Roy, our attendant did a great job and was meticulously explaining all the preparations. Definitely worth a visit !
