Amazing, I loved this place. Although it is a bit expensive the aquarium, reptile zone and natural habitat were amazing but the science and space zones were very underwhelming. As aquariums go, this aquarium was good with different fish and a "aquarium tunnel", the reptile zone was good but small. The habitat was the best part of the universeum once you enter it you will be in this tropical environment with birds roaming around freely, and fish swimming in a pond like environment, from small piranhas to crocodiles and giant cat fish etc. As for the space and health/chemistry they were underwhelming at best, the space one was just facts on a wall and i think the space part is only for kids, as for the health part also mostly for kids but more interactive, adults can enjoy some aspects of this as for the different mental exercises and fun challenges. Overall I think it was an interesting place to spend 2-3 hours.

A very interesting science museum/mini ZOO/Aquarium. But mostly for Swedes rather than tourists. The entrance fee for students is a bit higher, but there are plenty of animals and plants to look at. I especially appreciate the nice lights for taking pictures and the very clean glass, you rarely see that. Also interesting is the 3D cinema, which is on the top floor where you start the tour. Just a shame it's all in testimony again. Online tickets work out cheaper.

The right place to spend half of the day or the day of you keep up with the energy. There are 6-7 floors with different type of environments to see. I liked the aquarium, the rain forest, the reptiles and the matrix the most. In that order. It’s well maintained with easy accessibility and a lot of information around. I highly recommend it! It’s perfect to visit with friends, family or by yourself. Price is ok.

Quite big science and nature museum. 7 floors. We tried the Wisedom too. It’s quite fun to see the 3D movie in a dom. But it’s really long queue at the restaurant so we waited very long time to get food. Also the big forest area is very warm and humid. I feel hard to breathe there. It’s good visit for kids but there are a lot to improve too

Really nice! The expositions are very informative. Somehow they made the math one the most interesting. Even if you don't care about the expos there's a mini climate climb/descent with many animals to see♥️

Be aware of time when arriving by car. Part of the area is in construction and you may find traffic or would need to find a parking spot. Try to book in advance. The museum is really worth it. Kids and adults enjoy it likewise. There is a restaurant with great food. A couple of picnic areas. The health exhibition seems not as updated as the rest of the museum.

Whatta place it is, Literally the outside building looks like an IT office, once you enter it’s a forest 🌳 trees, plants, Flowers, Fishes 🐠 , 💦 water, Birds 🐦, Whales 🐳, crocodiles🐊 , 🐸 frogs, 🐍 snakes, chemistry laboratory for kids 🥼 🧪, space centre etc There is an entrance fee, for adults it’s 225SEK and kids it’s 175 SEK, there is a cafe and restaurant inside. Overall you can spend some good 4 hours inside. Kids will never get bored there. It’s a feast to Eyes. A must visit👍🏻

You will not regret visiting this science center. The way all the different zones(Ocean, Reptile, Amazon reinforest, etc.;) they have arranged everything very beautifully. Educational zones like anatomy of human body, space zone are also the highlight of this science center. Also there are food stalls installed at different floors so don't have to worry about food and there is game area and sitting arrangements at different floors. The public transport to the place is also easily accessible and can be commuted by tram or bus

I'd give this place fours stars just because when I visited the area focused on the scandinavian ecosystem was under renovation. This is a great science museum mostly for kids, although adults also can have a fun time here. The main part is probably the rain forest and my favorite animal was the sloth, so cute. In the aquarium you can fin lost of sharks. A great option to visit during winter.

Amazing place to visit, set over multiple floors with a mixture of subjects. My particular favourite area was the rain forest, with its beautiful birds, monkeys and Sloth. Unfortunately only had two hours to spend here as we had to go to the airport.

VERY EXPENSIVE! Think twice before you go. However, nice for the kids but definitely not for the adults. Here, science is explained with practical and visual means for kids. Children can grasp the idea of fundamental laws in physics, math, medicine and astronomy. Also, a replica of rainforest can be visited and the genuine animals can be seen there as well. Please look at the attached photos for more insight.

This is a spectacular place to visit with children. I enjoyed the visit and I assure kids would just love it. It is a museum where you will find facts about the human body, math, space and more and you can interact with some of the exhibition. It has a fantastic rain forest area where you can see some species of plants and animals.

This is a must visit if you're in lovely city of Gothenburg. There is everything for all age group. While Rain forest welcomes you when you enter, largest fish aquarium is mesmerising. Every floor is either with science, knowledge, space with endless fun. Be prepared to daylong joy of fun and food.

Great experience that you can do in 2h! Very child friendly, for all ages and you can bring with you your own food. Microwaves on bottom floor or buy something in the café. The chicken wrap was soo good! The new wildlife part is interesting and the jungle and aquariums are clean and looks great. Wish the museum was even bigger :)

If you are visiting Gothenberg then must visit place, This is one of the best natural history museums that I have seen. The elevator takes you to the top and you walk downhill through the museum and exhibits until you are back at street level. The aquarium exhibits are first rate. I loved it.

Really good for a 2.5 hours excursion but eventually you get tired. Must visit atleast once. The 5th floor gazillion gallon tank is just amazing. Go checkout babysharks. The ocean floor was my favourite. And then walk through the rain forest. Maintaining such am environment for the animals is a tough task and I think the staff is doing an amazing job.

This is must visit place in Gothenburg. It's expensive but it's worth it. Workers are very polite, everything is very clean. You should reserve at least 5 hours for this place, especially if you are with kids. It's wild and education.

It was amazing that there is a3 floor rain forest inside of it. To the people planning to start from the ice age part in the top, tshirt is not enough, better to wear a jacket at least. Basicslly the outer activities are fir kids but the central psrt is for adults as well. Monkeys are free to gouch or sppriqch you, no fence.

Informative but also design to have fun while learning different topics from science to acting both for adults and children. I appreciated also details in the plants We bought the ticket an hour before entering and there was no wait to enter since we went during weekday A bit pricey for the size -22€ per person

A big place with 6 floors of things to do for both adults and children. You need to buy your ticket in advance as it’s time specific entrance ticketing system. There’s an aquarium here, and many other things like a rain forest area, scientific games, AI related activities, planetarium, and many more.

Amazing museum that takes you on a journey from the frozen north of Sweden through to a tropical rainforest with live birds and monkeys roaming around. There's also a large aquarium and tunnel with lots of amazing fish and sharks. There's been more emphasis on climate change since I visited 10 years ago and there are also temporary displays on interesting topics. When we visited there was a maths exhibition. There is a great children's play area that is a 'mini Universeum' and the restaurant serves really high quality and well presented food.

Best science museum we've ever visited. Lots of interactive exhibits... Mostly interactive in fact! ... Plus a fascinating walk through different ecological zones. Felt like being in a real rainforest at times.

  • 5/5 Martin A. O. 7 months ago on Google
Excellent museum for children and the young at heart. We three adults rushed through, and that took 1.5 hours. Could have been 3 hours if we had the time. You could easily spend a day here depending on how engaged your children become. I would at least budget half a day.

A really fun place to spend your day if you like to see all types of animals and experience a rainforest without having to really go to one. A lot of the animals mentioned however were missing, unfortunately. The science side of the museum was my favourite. The hub and the space experience was great! The aquarium was a good experience, not quite as big as other ones I’ve seen, but not the worse either.

It is a cool place, the rainforest is really well taken care of, I wish however that the focus was bigger on the animals and rainforest part, the other stuff with human body and space for example, are just a normal museum with not much exciting.
