Gothenburg is so picturesque. Although, we were running here back and forth for one freaking decent postcard. As a postcard connoisseur, I'd have wanted more artistic and decent postcards (please check my shots on @whistlinghound). Nevertheless, we did find our favorite, which was slightly overpriced but then it's Scandinavia. That's what we said to ourselves to justify it.

It’s a nice mall, they have a lot of shops and a nice pharmacy. It’s good for the rainy days since it has a roof and it rains a lot over there. Pretty spacious and crowded.

If you are in downtown Gothenburg, weather is rainy or not as you want. You like to be indoors, then just walk towards Nordstan shopping area. It has four enterances like a square. Wide, glass roof and clean area. You will find all kind of shopping and dining shops. Small play area for kids. Sitting possibilities and at one end a nice clean Toilet area. ( You have to pay a small fee with card or cash ). Just walk around, shopping and have some food. May be during this time outside weather is good for you, so you can enjoy outside shopping areas. Nordstan is at a walking distance to main railway station. You can take a shuttle bus for airport, many times in a hour. Have fun.

The most popular and a big shopping in Göteborg! It’s just next to the main station and the port. You can take bus or train to reach here at “Bruunsparken” station, and there are many lines crossing by, or you can just walk from the central station by an underground passageway. There are many and various stores in this mall — restaurants, markets (Lidl), sports, 3C, clothes, groceries and mobile phones shops, etc. It’s very convenient and good for shopping!

Nordstan mall. Lots of shops and dinnings. One of the best place if you have lot of time. It's at city centre. So evenings are more colourful during winters.

A very nice shopping mall in the centre of Gothenborg. All items, brands and restaurants are present on it. You name anything and would find here very easily.

I am new to Gothenburg, and Sweden as a whole. What brought me to Nordstan was a simple wall plug 🔌 adapter. I had looked for it across several ICA's to no avail, until someone mentioned Nordstan. I am glad I went here. Everything is under one roof. I not only got my world to EU plug, but also did some grocery shopping at Lidl as well. I experienced some language barrier at several stores with various attendants claiming they did not speak any English, but my experience was wholesome as a whole.

Big shopping 🛍 center in the middle of Gothenburg and the tram stops right in front of the entrance. There are many stores, supermarket and "fastfood" chains as well. It even has a tennis field which can be booked. Toilets and other facilities are also to be found.

It's a little bit noisy & crowded but still one of the best in the city. Nice Christmas decoration for 2018. BY 2024 , there is some update in the exterior design. Still same status. Some new stores.

Loved it that's why 5 star. The place is very cool. It's close to tram and bus stops and have a great accessible location. For car park, you don't need to do any tickets there. Your swedish licence no plate will be recorded and bill will be sent to your address.

A shopping mall situated right between two of the biggest transportation hubs in the city. What could possibly go wrong? Well, besides hosting the same group of 8 stores that are scattered throughout the city (closest shopping area with the same stores is literally 5 minutes away), the same chain coffee spots and convenience stores are repeated every 2-3 department stores so you’ll feel like you’re on a treadmill.. it’s really the people that make this dump what it is. This place makes Manhattan seem small, and not in a good way. The concentration of people is absurd, majority of which are in a rush walking between the two transportation hubs. It’s just a very odd vibe. Doesn’t exactly make you feel safe, comfortable or relaxed. I’d say the only good thing about the place is that you can buy pretty much anything you want if you need to go between the two transportation hubs. Other than that, I would avoid this place like the plague. God awful place that should be avoided.

From a US citizen. Awesome time. Great mall. Walked from my hotel. Got something for my wife and family. Easy to pay! Take debit and credit. First time in Sweden and enjoyed my experience. If in Gothenburg have to visit. Recommend stay within a 20 min walk and walk around!

Just like a shopping mall with multiple stores or malls, it's quite a business place with much crowd around, but if I must say, it's lively.

Nordstan is a shopping centre in Gothenburg, Sweden. It is the largest shopping centre in Sweden in terms of revenue, and with approximately 180 shops and 150 offices. The shopping centre's total area is about 320,000 m2 (3,400,000 sq ft) divided into nine interconnected buildings, where retail and restaurant floor space makes up around 70,000 m2 (750,000 sq ft). The covered streets and squares comprise 8,000 m2 (86,000 sq ft). The companies housed in Nordstan employ approximately six thousand people and the total annual turnover was SEK 4.1 billion in 2013. The main passageways in the centre are public spaces and therefore are open for use after shops have closed. The character of the centre changes after closing time of the shops. The presence of adults is drastically reduced and the premises become a hangout for youth.

Your security needs to stop this teen boys from smoking hashish in the main entrance to get in your little shopping plaza. These boys were shoving each other into customers . Your plaza reminds me of Florida United States

Haven't been in five years. But felt nicer and safer than before. To the negative side, awful a lot of people, which I can understand, a lot of communication gets you here, in the middle of the town and all possible store in convenient distance without the need of a car.

Great shopping mall located in the city center, brunnsparken and central station stop. Lots of shops and great variety of food court. There is also a public toilet, which costs 1 kron, but that's ok and clean.

Ooh...one of my favourite best places for shopping, or meeting up with my friends or family for a celebratory meal in one of the coffee shops. Even 'window shopping', and just walking around Nordstan, is a perfect pleasure.

This indoor shopping mall is connected to the central station with an tunnel under the traffic and squares over several blocks. About 170 stores and various eating places are located inside. For the time being, moored in the guest harbour, I use the centre for my daily needs. Two of my favourite stores, two groceries and one household/sport and leisure store are located near the guest harbour and the opera on the Göta river.

Greta shopping mall with a great variety of outdoor, regular and sports clothes as well as restaurants like Mexican, Italian, cafes and fast food. For tourists it should be interesting to see local Swedish brands and stores. They have a small indoor playground for children and toy stores. Should be possible to spend a great day there for the whole family!

  • 2/5 Stefan B. 2 years ago on Google
Huge not very pretty shopping mall with boring interior and exterior, hardly any place to just sit down and rest without paying. Extremely low availability of toilets reflect low understanding of consumers needs (a full shopping day is pretty much out of the question). The mall is smacked with mainstream shops as in any ordinar shopping mall in Sweden/Europe. Much like putting in a bunch of boxes with shops, & outside the boxes there is just dirty huge spaces that seem to stay put, year after year. Except from 1x sweet café with a green wall, in the basement. These spaces have potential & could be used so much smoother; breaking boundaries, think outside the box, pull out the shops on the venues - first of all the food places, and why not create a (set) food market. And for god sake, choose one (1x) name for the mall, preferably a name that communicates what this potentially nice place could become. Sorry to say you wont find much really unique in this space/not much of a place.

nordstan is really great for a lot of things, you can buy almost anything, there are many good places to eat, it's right in the city so there are nice places to go all around it. the negatives are the fact that there are very very few seating areas inside the mall and the toilets are not free to enter

Really bland shopping mall from what I could gather. Mostly the same shops as everywhere else. With the exeption of a kitchen utensils-store that seemed fresh and unique.

  • 5/5 srinath d. 2 years ago on Google
Wow, very good shopping mall. You get everything here. Utensils, electronics, groceries, clothing, food, shoe, even restrooms, definitely a must place, i might missed something to post it here, definitely a must shopping centre.

Convenient for parking and handy if you need to get out and about town. Most big name stores and a decent sushi place in the basement.

  • 4/5 Ekaterina U. 2 years ago on Google
Beware of seagulls outside! The mall itself is quite nice and has a lot of interesting stores. It's a nice area to hangout at, as there are also coffee places. I counted at least two Espresso Houses in the building! Anywho, I got my kanelbullar in the grocery store and went out to eat it but before I even took a bite, a seagull attacked me and knocked the pastry off my hands 😲
