Family owned. Very convenient for you to stop by before and after work or school. The employees are very nice and very helpful. Across the street,on Saturday and Sunday, they bar-b-que and sell plate lunches. The food is delicious.... Come and check it out for yourself.

Don't let the tiny size of this market fool you. It's packed with tons of different food and drink items. Including ice cream. A good selection of wine and beer also!

Small mom and pop operation with local fare and some specialty items. They make some of the best poke (sliced raw fish) a local favorite. And much more. Run by local folks for local folks and anyone else.

Always visit this small market when I go back home to visit as they make the real Hawaiian style foods. Service here is really good. Very friendly employees and fast check out. Prices did go up but it goes without saying these days.

Amazing little market with homemade food to go. I tried a bunch of their warm dishes and taking what was leftover to heat up more at home. Definitely coming back for more of that Pokè. 😄🙏 Gochisosama!

Awesome little local store one of the few on Maui that has those special things that locals are looking for. From food to meat poultry, seafood. They also have a great selection of uncooked or cooked foods. The plate lunches are awesome and the multitude of choices in side dishes is great. One of the last of it's breed really hope they keep going strong. I drive a long way to support them. Plus the staff is all local so it's good fun talking to and joking with them a real hidden gem.

Get in when the kitchen is open! 10-1 on Saturdays. Fantastic plate lunches, solid poke, and an assortment of snacks and desserts. Taro tapioca pudding and blueberry cheesecake especially! Staff was all super nice too.

Great selection of delicious hot and cold bentos that you can take with you for lunch or dinner on the go. Nice assortment of other grocery items too. Owner is very helpful and friendly. Location is particularly convenient if you are staying at the Banana Bungalow Maui Hostel like us, or if you live anywhere in upper Wailuku. You should definitely try Takamiya Market!

Awesome food to pack for the go. Has a local Asian vibe to it and reminds me of home. Thank you for making my time in the store feel special! I’d definitely recommend the desserts right by the cash register.

This is a great little corner shop, with plenty of choice in terms of local food. In addition to the classic supermarket items, they also have a good choice of take-away food, like poke. I found the prices here to be competitive with the larger superstores on the island and the people were friendly. Choice is more limited, though, but as a tourist, I found the local choice more authentic.

Quaint local market in Maui with the best Poke. I was in Maui for 4 days then Honolulu for another 4 and Takamiya Market hands down had the best Poke! I got the Ahi Shio Tuna and Sesame Tako to go before my flight and they were fresh and DELICIOUS. I’ll be thinking about this poke for months to come and heading straight here several times when I get a chance to visit Maui again.
