I visited this dental clinic yesterday morning for the first time for a dental checkup. When it was my turn, I went in, had an x-ray taken, and then Dr. Yoo came in. He asked me about my life in Hawaii, how often I visit Korea, and if I have a job (even though I had not mentioned anything about job-seeking). Suddenly, he brought up a former '아줌마' (middle-aged woman) who used to work here. He mentioned that '아줌마' had one child and worked for a while before quitting, using the term '아줌마' and implying as if asking me if I would consider doing the same kind of work. I questioned if that required a license, but he insisted that it doesn't need one and involves tasks like cleaning and sanitizing. I was lying on the treatment chair, in a vulnerable position to receive treatment, so I didn't react much at the time. I received the treatment later while lying on the chair and being in a position to be treated, so I couldn't respond immediately and had to suppress my discomfort as I left. Is this what they call 'small talk'? I'm frustrated that I couldn't address the meaning of his words right there. Moreover, '아줌마' is a term often used in a derogatory way to refer to middle-aged women who have children, implying they do menial jobs. It seems like Dr. Yoo assumed I would be suitable for such work. I didn't go there to look for a job; I was there to get medical treatment and paying for it. It felt very disrespectful. This experience at the hospital was exceptionally disheartening and unpleasant, something I've never encountered before. I hesitated to leave a review after this humiliating incident, but I couldn't sleep all night, so I decided to write about it. Other staff members were kind, but I doubt I'll ever forget this incident and how rude the doctor was.

ive called many places to get my tooth pulled and Aina Haina Family Dental was kindly enough to take me in ASAP other then most places! greatest experiences ever, i didnt feel no pain at all. once i got into the room it took about 5-10 mins to pull out my teeth 🦷 and next thing you know it i was done. Thankyou to DR Jin Yoo and to the AMAZING staff for making me feel comfortable and welcomed! to be honest i could just feel the heartfelt passion Dr. Jin Yoo has for the job he does!looking forward on seeing them soon!!!!! if you need any tooth extract or need a professional Dr. to fix up your teeth i would refer you to aloha aina family dental!!!! thankyou once again❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️

After years of postponing getting my wisdom teeth out, I decided to get them pulled, appointment was easy to make and the procedure was even easier. Very professional, felt comfortable the whole time. Definitely give them a visit for your dental needs. And thank you for the service Dr.YOO 🙏

I highly recommend Aina Haina Family Dental! People who work here are extraordinary :) Pleasant atmosphere from the start, Nicolle will always get me in asap, the same day or the next and she will greet me and offer me water. She remembers me every time I come back!! This is very special and you feel like a part of a family, they really do care. Jen and Dr Lemick are sooo easy going and so relaxed and welcoming! They always take time to explain everything to me and tell me all the options. So professional and non judgmental (unlike many other Doctors I met). I love this place and highly recommend it. Even if you have a dentist, I recommend switching to this place, they truly have Aloha spirit!

As soon as I walked in Nicolle remembered my name and made me feel welcome. Also as the doctor was working on my teeth (he did a great job) Jen assisted him and made me feel at ease. All 3 of them did an exceptional job and I am happy I decided to go to them! You won't be disappointed!

This place opened up only a couple months ago!! ... and they accepted my insurance... ... and had openings pretty early... ... and are open until 7pm on some days... Whatttttt??? Anyways, my boyfriend and I were able to book 5pm and 5:45pm appts on Friday. My BF even ran late but they still serviced him at 6pm! As I sat in the chair during my cleaning, I guess I looked tense and petrified. Dr. Yoo kept asking me if I was ok. .. and I kept saying yeah, until he asked me if I was traumatized by a bad experience because I definitely did NOT look ok. It got me thinking, who HASN'T had a bad experience at the dentist?!?!? Thankfully, this experience was definitely the most pleasant one. I loved how he reviewed my xrays with me. Apparently, when I brush I favor my left side. Haha. And I have small decay forming on one tooth YIKES but he said I just need to floss everyday and it will be ok because I have strong bones and good enamel or something like that. (But I don't like flossing) Today is Day 3 of my daily flossing challenge. Wish me luck.

Dr Yoo and his assistant were amazing. There is absolutely no pain during teeth extraction. I came to extract 2 teeth. One was out in 2 sec, but the other one I broke in the middle.. that one kept breaking and Dr Yoo was calm and kept explaining the whole process to me while he was working on the tooth. I felt included and very well taken care off. His assistant is so warm and calm I can't praise her enough.
