Much more efficient now. Food is ordered through the QR code provided by your wait staff. Food is ordered and brought straight to you. Portions seem a little smaller but at least it isn't sitting on a conveyor belt.

Affordable and delicious sushi and sides. Also, everything was made and sent out really quickly on the train themed conveyor.

It's amazing, just like Japan. Order on the tablet, and it comes to you via bullet train on the JR line. They one here that's special that I hadn't seen anywhere else which is the garlic salmon sushi 🍣 so very good. Recommend coming here with time, you have to wait, but it moves pretty quick. Happy sushi eating!

Same chain we tried in Japan! Instead of a conveyor belt, your sushi is made to order and arrives on a mini bullet train. Very fun and unique. The fish was fresh and the salmon sashimi was good quality like in Japan. However the prices are a lot more in comparison. $3-$6 is the average per plate. Sushi rolls and sashimi come in 4 pieces around $6, nigiri in 2 pieces around $3. All the desserts were around $3-5 and you can play the slot game. We didn't win 😥. Overall good for a quick bite and fun. I wish they had a location by us in Cali! Give it a try for lunch.

First and foremost, the service was great. The atmosphere was really nice for Christmas time and the decorations were very appealing. The food is decent and great for the price. However, I have been to every Genki Sushi on the island, and this is by far the most conservative on the portions in terms of fish. The spicy tuna bowl had far less fish than the Ala Moana location, for example. This is only one of the many dishes I had experienced here, and the difference in quantity for the same price was concerning for me. Keep in mind this was only for fish dishes, which is strange, so one of the locations has to be wrong. If you want a fish dish, I would recommend driving to Ala moana.

This location opens later than the others. 9p or 10p. Prkg can be a bit of a wait. Service was excellent. Our QR code did not work to order, twice, so they had to take out order.

Best nigiri I have ever had on island. They are literally like biting into butter, and the price is solid.

A fun option for the sushi train experience! It isn't a converter belt anymore - you just order from your smartphone (which is a lovely clear and simple system) and it gets delivered to your table via a cute little train. The unagi and salmon skin roll were so-so but some yummy eats included the spicy tuna bowl, dynamite spicy tuna roll, seared salmon, tempura, and udon. Easy to "accidentally" blow a lot of money here so pace yourself and watch your total bill on your phone ;)

It was fairly empty on a Sunday afternoon. The sushi rolls were pretty good but I've had better. I enjoyed the baked mussels. Great place if you don't like interactions. Order thru your phone and the food is brought to you on a little train table side.

Busy in the evenings, so make sure you Scan the QR to go on the queue, it moves relatively quickly. The sushi is good and tasty, order via an iPad and it will arrive by train. Too many options drowned in sauce and mayonnaise In my opinion, I prefer the classic fresh fish which they didn’t have enough variety of. service was prompt and friendly.

Super disappointed. I ordered doordash and it was NOT a good experience. The spicy edamame was cold (refrigerator cold). The full size roll had four pieces (FOUR !). I also ordered two orders of fried gyosa and only received five pieces (so, 2.5 pieces per order ?). The sashimi slices were super thin and overpriced.

I love the concept. The food arrives expeditiously. I am not sure about the ahi tuna salads that comes on top of the volcano roll. It did not look appetizing and that was the last roll that we ordered. Everything else was delicious and I would go back I don't know if I would recommend it though because I would be afraid somebody would order that cat food.

Great, Cheap Sushi!!! The little train that brings the food to your table is a nice touch. I dare say it taste better than some of the other Sushi place in Waikiki 😊

Food was excellent!! Service was fast. Order food from tablet. prices according to color of plate. Varied menu some sushi, some cooked. Food is delivered on a trolley system right to your table. Very fun

This was a fun experience. The food was very small portions only four rolls for the special rolls. The food was still good despite the portion size.

omg my ex used to love this place and we'd come here all the time. the food is mediocre/decent, and it's fun ordering from the little trains. staff always very nice.

A very interesting place, with sushi sent to you by a train. Great for non-contact dining! The portion and price is just right - perfect when you’re not that hungry but still want some food.

This is our second time in Hawaii in three years and both times we visited Genki Sushi due to it being conveniently next to a large Safeway and we are always nicely surprised at the sushi quality! Husband and I tried several rolls, the ebi udon dish, and some fried plates and we got full very fast. The tuna quality they had was very good, which is great to see especially since it is a small chain restaurant. The fun tablet and train delivery of food is also always fun and great for kids. We also really liked the service there. The waitresses were prompt in filling up our waters and hot teas. Only minor feedback I can share with them was I wish they would stop being apologetic when they asked us for more water. They were doing their jobs and doing it well so no apologies needed! :) Would recommend and I will visit again on future trips!

We travel around the world and have had some great rolls. Normally I would give this place a 4 star but I’m going with 5 stars because the service, speed and price were all excellent. We’ll come back for sure.

Food was great. Orders were for 4 pieces each roll. Normal size pieces. For the price not bad. The hotdog roll was interesting, one kid liked it and the other did not. Satisfied with quality and price was reasonable.

Staff was friendly. We were shorted sushi from our order but didn't notice until we got home and weren't going to go back. So, just double check your order, but it was good sushi. It was recommended to us by a local. Definitely a younger crowd going here to eat off the little train cars. We took ours to go and what we did order was good.
