Heard great things about North Shore Tacos so took the trip to the North Shore for some highly recommend tacos and it was great! Went with the fiance for our first time visiting Honolulu and would definitely recommend it. Fish tacos were excellent. Pineapple salsa was a hit as well and the drink menu was excellent. #hawaii #cocktails #travel

Do not follow the 4 star review like me and avoid this taco place! Especially after 3 days of amazing Oahu food, this place is a huge letdown. The staff and location is amazing but the food is just disappointing and over priced (even for Hawaii). Ordered the fish tacos and they were just under seasoned over cooked with no seasoning or flavor. Even store bought chips will be better than the side of chips and salsa served to us. The homemade lemonade is definitely a joke, it has no taste nor lemonade. Avoid this place and do not repeat my mistake!

Our family came to eat at North Shore Tacos because of its reputation. The tacos were good but not as fantastic for the price you pay. Our family of 6 spent over $100, we just didn't expect that. The fish taco had large seared portions of fish that had good texture and cubed perfectly but no seasoning to speak of. The Kulua Pork taco had good flavor and was my favorite. The fresh toppings also helped with presentation.

Don’t follow my mistake in going to this place. Save your money and go to a better place. Was looking forward to the place BUT very overpriced. Paid $17 for two tacos and chips and salsa. The tacos were very small and not filling (tasted okay). The pineapple salsa was good so it’s earning two stars. Me and my friends ended up going to Taco Bell in Laie and got tacos that tasted the same for way cheaper.

This a cute fast food taco place. It's expensive for the serving size. $13.95 for two small sweet pulled pork tacos with a side of rice and beans ( no drink, chips or salsa). It's $17 if you want steak, a little cheaper for veggie. All entrees are priced by the meat products ( so one tortilla, folded in half, of steak quesadilla is $17.95). Margarita run about $10. There are no servers, pick up food at the counter when called. The food was very good, Mostly salad with very small amount of meat. The hot sauce is HOT. The venue is clean and tidy. Really the only thing bad is the portion size to cost ratio. Welcome to Hawaii.

The place was clean, not too many customers here on a Sunday. Parking was easy. Order at the counter and they give you a number. It was kind of weird to walk in and not be greeted by anyone despite there being 1 worker sweeping and 1 working the front. We walked in and the only other customers walked out. First issue is the prices online and the price at the register are different. I get it, prices are going up but change the signage. We ordered the fish tacos times 2, chips and salsa and 2 drinks. Total was 54 bucks, which is kind of high for 4 tacos, rice beans. The tomato salsa was bland, nothing fancy. The pineapple salsa was by far the best thing here. The Chips were crunchy and tasted fresh. The fish tacos were good, not amazing. No cabbage on them but a good sauce. The fish portions barely covered the taco which was fine but for the price I'd hope for more. The rice was fluffy and black beans were good. The wife said the pinto beans were too salty to eat. After 17 years of living in hawaii this was the first time eating here. We won't be stopping back. You can find better quality elsewhere but that pineapple salsa was awesome.

North Shore Tacos is fun spot for Mexican food on the North Shore. We really liked their nacho plate and their fish tacos. The ingredients were fresh and flavorful. They also have a nice choice of hard and soft drinks. The restaurant has huge doors that make it open air and tie in the local beach scene atmosphere. Like most places, they were a little understaffed, so don't hesitate to ring the bell on the counter. They won't be offended.

The food at this place is the best. We went to the one which is more like a fast food restaurant which is further south, but is is open air and it is great. Also went to the one which is a truck with other food trucks close to north shore. Both are great, but the food truck can get busy and it took a bit to get our food there. Had both fish tacos and checked tacos with rice and black beans. It was excellent. Just fantastic. Worth the drive from Honolulu to have these. Really awesome. Staff were helpful with telling us what was what. A definite go to

Their Lime Margarita (I ordered mine on the rocks but their other margaritas are blended,, this is available blended as well) was the best one I think I've ever had. The taste was phenomenal. I also ordered the burrito bowl with chicken and it was delicious. Definitely recommend eating here if you're on the north shore. Casual comfortable atmosphere and of course amazing food.

Loved my burrito and margaritas lunch on a 110 loop around the island. Nice furniture and staff, great open air atmosphere with the warm ocean breeze coming through the dining room

Discovered this gem when we lived here in 2018. Now that we’re back, here we are. The food is delicious! Add their surf sauce and hot sauce, and be ready for a taste bud explosion! Started with the chips and salsa. Unfortunately they were out of the pineapple salsa today…another visit is in order. The salsa was tasty and not spicy. You can add some of their hot sauce for a kick. I got the burrito with black beans and steak and shrimp (adds extra meat charge, but well worth it). Topped it with red sauce, the sour cream, guac, and pico it comes with then drizzled the surf sauce and hot sauce all over it… 🤯 So ‘ono!! My wife got the nachos with shredded chicken. She was not disappointed. We bought a bottle of their surf sauce to take home. The food is delicious and I don’t think you could go wrong with anything on the menu. The only drawback is the price. A bit high, especially with extra meat, but the food is really good. Treat yourself and stop by to see for yourself.

We ordered nachos on our way to north shore and this place was right on the main road, good parking lot and quick service option. The cheese beans nachos were delicious and good for a quick bite. Recommend this place.

Great location with a nice little set up. There were huge garage type of window doors that were open letting that great north shore breeze in. Food was ok. I had chicken gnarly nachos. The chicken was good *not really ant seasonings on the chicken just salted shredded chicken) Nicholas chips were good Pico de Gallo was great, sour cream is sour cream. The nachos weren't heated up long enough to melt all the cheese making the dish just eh for me.

Food hit the spot after a long day at the beach! Had the nachos and couldn’t complain about how they tasted. Will definitely come again.

Good Mexican food with a friendly and helpful staff. They also have nice tropical drinks. Prices are on the high side but everything is in Hawaii. Food is made fresh with good ingredients. We also enjoyed the pineapple drink. The vibe is relaxed and comfortable with seating indoors and out. We enjoyed our visit.

food seems fresh, but everything has a little too much salt on it. At least for our taste. Clean establishment and friendly staff.

Great place to eat on the way to the North Shore beaches or Polynesian Cultural Center. Chips and salsa were great - especially the pineapple salsa - as well as the fish tacos!

Good food. Nachos with sweet pork were my favorite thing. Horchata was on point! What one would expect from a little random spot.

Delicious food! The restaurant itself is unique and the employees are very casual. It's nice to eat good food while appreciating the Hawaiian breeze. Plenty of seating.

Stopped here to get a fish taco. They advertise #1 Fish taco and I couldn’t disagree more. It tasted like a tuna sandwich. The lettuce was wrong. The fish was wrong. I have been all over and can confidently say that this was the most Americanized and butchered attempt at creating a taco. However, the service was good and they were pleasant. Bathroom was clean also. Overall, it was a mediocre food experience. Much better options on the island

Good beef tacos and nachos. Pineapple salsa was pretty sweet. Pricey for what you get. $7 for a single taco…

One of the few open eateries open on a Sunday evening in this part of the North Shore — serving tacos, burritos, bowls and adult beverages. The sweet pork nachos were tasty, but it’s not a cheap diner. Margarita was on the weak side, but service was friendly and efficient.

Loved the vibe of the place. Nachos were amazing! Steak (carne asada) was just right. Strangely those who ordered fish were underwhelmed. My dairy free daughter's order was wrong, we didn't realize until we got home.

Delicious food the tacos are excellent and the fish was nice and fresh. The hot sauce is extremely hot so be careful with that. Sort of on the pricey side but I guess you get what you pay for. The Pina colada was very tasty and fresh.
