Visiting my brother in Kapolei and decided to have breakfast here after my morning walk. The check I'm process was seamless, showing your Vaccination card or the digital version is fine. The service was excellent and attentive. I ordered the Korean Fried Chicken Breakfast with 2 Eggs over easy, Portuguese Sausage and Rice. I ordered a small bowl of chili. Everything was freshly made and delicious. Coffee was also good with free refill. Overall experience was excellent and most likely to return when I'm in the area.

I went to Zippy's in Kapolei the other day for late dinner. One thing I like about Zippy's is that they close late (at midnight). However the best thing is I love their Chili Rice and Korean Chicken so much. Highly recommended if you can't decide where to eat after your late shift (before midnight). A sincere recommendation from a Vietnamese traveller here on this lovely Oahu island.

Day 2 of our vacation and we were treated to a very good breakfast 😋 at Zippy's. Did not disappoint at all. Great people and service with all smiles. A must visit and I was told by our hosts we will be back before we leave.

Our waitress, Mildred, was wonderful. She took good care of my 95 year old father in law and provided excellent service. We loved the roast pork special and the Chantilly cake.

First experience at Zippys last night fir dinner and we really enjoyed it. We ordered at the counter and chose to eat in. We chose a Zip Pack Deluxe which includes chili, mac salad with golden fried chicken, crispy breaded white flaky fish filet, tender teriyaki marinated beef, and Spam®, on a bed of rice topped with classic Japanese takuan pickled radish and furikake seasoning ($18.60) and also ordered a mini Loco Moco- An iconic Hawaii dish invented by hungry Hilo teenagers. A juicy hamburger patty atop a bed of rice, smothered with brown gravy and topped with two eggs. Served with mac salad($11.30). We shared both entrees and if this sounds like a huge amount of food…it is. The Zip Pack Deluxe we could have shared without ordering anything else and we would have left quite full. The fish and chicken were really good and the teriyaki beef was a little chewy but good flavor. The macaroni salad is really good and the chili tasted great too. The Loco Moco was probably our favorite dish. The brown gravy with the rice and hamburger Patty were very tasty and reminded us of Salisbury steak we used to eat at home. We will definitely order this dish again and we chose to have our eggs scrambled. We will return to Zippys and can recommend it if you are visiting and there is one neat by. We wanted to try a local restaurant and this one is a good one to experience. It appears that they have a table service section too. We didn’t realize this until after we ordered at the counter.

Zippys was a great experience. Great and fast service. Best part is the cleanliness of the restaurant.

Zippy's is a Hawaiian institution, so if you are visiting you should try it at least once. There are many Hawaiian favorites on the menu, but our favorite was the Korean chicken. It comes in chunks of breaded style chicken covered with a slightly sweet sauce that is delicious. Rice and macaroni salad are the staple sides. Finish your meal with a yummy slice of custard pie. The staff was friendly. Covid precautions include putting your name in with contact tracing info via QR code for being seated at a table, masks required for staff and those not seated/eating, and temp checks prior to entry.

We eat at Zippy's at least 3-4 times when we come home, and it rarely disappoints. We must have come at a bad time because they literally only had 2 wait staff in the dining area. They saw us but no one really even acknowledged us for a good 10 minutes (we would have left but we all were REALLY craving our Zips). Once we were seated the waitress was nice, so I'm just attributing it to a little stress from being overwhelmed. The menu has changed significantly since we've been back (2019), which was a little disappointing as well. But the food was perfect, especially right off the airplane. My son wanted a dream cake but there was none, so we got the standard Apple Napple, which never fails to hit the spot.

Holy. Cow. What a delicious meal!! Our food got out in like 5 minutes, great portion sizes, and it's certainly a local joint. Much, much better than Jollibee! Amazing food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner - this picture is the spam loco moco!

First time trying Zippies as there were no locations here in California. After hearing all the great reviews about the food, service, and location. We are disappointed with how the food tasted, our service, and the atmosphere. The food was cheap, unappetizing, and watered down. Nothing like the raving reviews I got from friends and family. The service was better but not that great, yes the waiter was always there, asking how we were and always making sure we had drinks and napkins. The atmosphere was just as bad as the food, it was slightly dirty, the table was wet, and we were seated quickly seated but the atmosphere was not just there.

If you're hungry and want good local food, go to Zippy's!! My sisters calls it the McDonald's of Hawaii. Good portions, freshly made. Good variety of foods to chose from. Enjoy!!!

Ordered fries but when I got them there wasn’t much in the bag! I asked the cashier why there was so little fries and she said she didn’t know and asked the chef to add more fries to the bag till at least half way. The chef said no and tossed the bag back!! How rude…and they were old!! Couldn’t eat what little was in the bag because they were soo hard! So disappointed. The cashier lady was nice though but they need a new chef

The location was easy to find. However, please be prepared to be pan handled when you arrive which for me is okay, but some people don’t like it. My start rating is based on some complexity on the layout. There’s one specific space for dining in and one for takeout. I first thought it was a fast casual type location, but it’s a dine in restaurant with service and a take out restaurant. The restaurant needs an update and some cleaning. I used the bathroom facilities and they were in much need of an update and deep cleaning. That’s always concerning to me when visiting any food establishment. The food was good. I got mine to go and enjoyed fried chicken, rise, chili, and macaroni salad. Not a lot of healthy options, but in this case I was wanting some real good, Hawaiian comfort food and it delivered. I would have given 4 for the food and 2 for cleanliness and location facility. This is why my 3 star rating.

These restaurants are great for take out and dining in. They have a good selection of food items and their bakery items are delicious too. We have tried everything from breakfast to dinner. Their chicken has the right amount of breading. Make sure you sign up for their rewards program. It's super easy to earn points and get free items. We earned a free item right after our third visit. Totally worth it. They also give back to the local community by having a different fundraising group every week that they donate a portion of the proceeds to.

It was our first breakfast here, and the spam surprised us but it was such a pleasant surprise. The food was delicious. The service was a bit off, we may be tourists but we felt that we were being treated differently because of that. The place itself also needs some renovations, the sit down reservation side seemed fine but the sit down place for the pick up food was in need of some cleaning and updo.

I love coming to Zippy’s, It’s a must stop when back on the island. My trip was relatively short and to be honest I wasn’t completely sure if we were even able to visit but on my last day before my flight, I knew I had to take the family! With a 12 top our server was more than welcoming, fast and courteous. This is probably my second time ordering an Oxtail soup but I dream about it often, its is sooo ono! If you’re from the mainland and only know to get oxtail from California Hotel in Vegas and haven’t given Zippy’s a try, you are missing out! Also got to try Korean Fried Chicken, Kalua plate with lau lau and yeah hit all the vibes!

We love the occasional Zippy's but the last 4 time we went the fried chicken has been bad. Almost like it was sitting in a warmer way to long or way over cooked. Skin is just hard. Not a good crunchy fried skin either but almost a leathery texture. Hopefully it's just a pandemic thing and it gets better soon!

Quite enjoyable as usual. Gina, Mildred, and staff were very attentive. Their timing for service was key.

Friendly service and good eats. The Korean chicken is the best thing on the menu. The chili is just ok. I think you probably had to grow upon it to like and crave it.
