Best food we have had on the whole island! I’ve been looking for a Puerto Rican type restaurant since we moved here a year ago to replace the go to spot we had back in Texas and this place is even better. I have found my new go to spot.

It was a good surprise to find a Puerto Rican restaurant here in Oahu. We were getting tired of eating “ junk” food and we were in desperate need for some rice and beans cooked the right way. We drove an hour just to get a taste from home and it did not disappoint. Food was delicious and portions were just right. Service was exceptional and I love the outdoor seating area. Give them a look, you will not be disappointed.

Server were gentle and patience, location was busy but we gor our table in less then 5 minutes. I tried the PERNIL which a sort of pulled pork, it was terrific, tasty and good! I will go back again before going back home.

I'll just say this...when you take your Boricua friend to this place, and it makes him feel like he's back home in Puerto Rico, you're doing something right! In short, the food at Coquito's was amazing! When I first heard about this place, I kind of chuckled honestly. Mofongo, Gandules, Pernil...in Hawaii? YES! And this isn't some "interpretation" of Puerto Rican food...this is the real deal, in O'ahu! When our server mentioned Alcapurrias, I thought my friend would pass out, he was so excited. Our appetizers were the Camarones Al Ajillo and the Alcapurrias! Right off the bat, they knocked it out of the park. Well seasoned, crispy, crunchy, creamy...I mean, every flavor and texture was on point! I had the Mofongo with Pernil, Gandules con Arroz and Sweet Plantains. From the first bite, you could taste the Sofrito in the Arroz, and the color was simply beautiful! Yes, this place is well off the beaten path from Honolulu, but so worth the drive to Waianae! We were able to enjoy a beautiful sunset on our way up the coast, and finished the day with an amazing meal! Thank you Coquito's...we'll definitely be back!

Food is good, portions are a decent size as well. It's a nice place but location is not so great to sit outside and prices are quite high.

Enjoyed the Cuban sandwich, flan, jerk wings, yucca frita and sweet plantains. This is outdoor seating only. BYOB . Parking is limited but you can park in the lot beside. The food was tasty and the service was efficient. Definitely a good option on the island if looking for a culture approximation.

Our first experience here started with a friendly young lady taking our order. Food was all hot when we received our Togo order. There is a 3% fee for Togo orders. We ordered lots of foods to share. Empanadas, alcapurrias, mofongo, tres leches, flan de queso, flan de vanilla, yuca frita, chicken, beans. Out of three people, not one person liked the food. Not even the flan and tres leches. The empanadas were a bit burnt and filling was more like taco meat. Feel that we wasted our time and money. There is parking in front. Seating is at picnic tables. Too many flies today.

Visited this restaurant a few times with my Puerto Rican friend and she said it's as authentic as her own grandmother's. Now that's saying something! If you're looking for your holiday Coquito, make sure you call 2 weeks in advance to order your bottle.

Found this great place while driving around Hawaii. The food was delicious. Had the colombian emapanadas and steak mofongo with rice. The Piña colada was delicious as well

Really great food. Restaurant was very clean and service was great. Only outdoor seating at the picnic tables in front, but they are covered. Even my son (the pickiest eater) loved their chicken and fries.

If your missing PR home cooking check out Coquitos. Food and service were great! Loved the old school salsa playlist 🎶

Delicious Latin cuisine. They only have outdoor seating which I don't mind at all. Great service and large food portions. I ordered the chicken and my husband the flank steak. Both tender and very flavorful. The tostones and fried plantains were my favorite. I just love plantains!! Highly recommend :)

It’s good to find a little piece of home in Hawaii. First time here and am extremely happy with the service and food. Atmosphere gives same vibes as home. Waitress is very knowledgeable on the menu and good attention to all guests even the phone calls coming in! Good flavors considering we are so far away from Puerto Rico. Definitely will be coming back.

The cuban sandwich and gandule rice was good. It was a little confusing upon walking up to the restaurant, like if we order at the wi dow or of it was full service. They eventually opened the window and let us know they would help us. Overall I'd go back

Extremely prompt service. Food was perfectly prepared and precise, even with a party of 8. The empanadas are incredible and the steak was grilled exact. Definitely a must go!

This place is a hidden gem, you gotta try it out. The Argentinian Flank Steak is bomb The beef stew is on point. The flan is a bit sweet for me but I like it too. Overall we love the food here.

The food here is incredible. Totally authentic. The best Cuban Sandwich I've had in years. If you're traveling East, it's super easy to pop off to the right, grab food at the order window and jump back on the highway. They have there own free parking that is easy to get in and out of. They don't have inside dining, but they do have a beautiful romantic covered outdoor area with tables to eat. At night, the lights are beautiful. Great service, great people, amazing food, awesome prices and you can call ahead to order and pick up or dine outdoors.

Classic greasy spoon. The food is beyond flavourful and filling. So far from home but the food is authentic as. West side gem! Call a week in advance for rum coquito. Otherwise you’ll be sipping on a sample of pistachio kicking yourself. Outdoor seating has great ambiance. Indoor seating small but you’re in a tropical place enjoy the breeze.

This was honestly one of the best places we’ve been on the island for food. We got the shrimp ceviche, Argentinian flank steak, and the coconut flan. Everything was SO fresh & flavorful. It really stands out from any other restaurant because it tastes like a real home-cooked meal versus typical ~restaurant~ food…if you know what I mean. The service was great too!! Very friendly & FAST. We can’t wait to come back and try the rest of the menu!!!
