The Luau itself was fantastic. The food was amazing and plenty of it. The presenters were fantastic educational and entertaining. But the 2 drink tickets you get with meal is only good for a very tiny drink. Lines for the bar were so long many people missed the education and fun part of the Luau. Also, for the drink you may want that the ticket does not cover, costs were exceedingly high.

This was probably the highlight of my trip! It is absolutely the BEST luau, and the culture they share through lives experiences is truly inspiring. 10 out of 10 recommend! The food is delicious, and they are considerate of food allergies. The drinks are tasty. They provide real leis with fresh flowers and woven headbands that they have made themselves. The entertainment is fantastic. I honestly can't speak enough praise!

The Chief put on an exciting and entertaining show. The food was good. Would like a second option of a drink instead of just Mai Tai's. Their are other choices that are usable for your ticket value you purchase. Our guide, Greg, was funny, humorous, and made the experience memorable.

Beautiful!! Fabulous show and great food. Very entertaining. Great show and a lot of talent. They put on a spectacular show that was very interactive with the audience. This was in the evening at the water park after it closed. The staff was excellent in helping all guests with needs. The amount of food was incredible and definitely not leaving anyone hungry!

Highly recommend and great experience. Chose them because of the allergen menu transparency to make it easier for 2 family members to eat and enjoy! Loved the entire experience. Food was great and the transportation to and from. One tip - take a few photos but don’t be the jerk who records every dance on video, no one wants to watch your cell phone the entire time, especially once it gets dark.

This is hands down a must do. I don't write reviews unless really worth it.. The whole event was amazing. We surprised my girlfriend with the luau and every single person in our group was amazed. We had 9 people with us and we all agree; the drinks, the food, and the entertainment was hands down the best thing we have done here. Now my only problem is we have 4 more days here and don't know how anything else we do will be as good as the luau. Chief provided a comedy show with his act and we were dying of laughter the whole time. The fire show, tribal dances, and music was breath taking. Moments of laughter, suspense, and ah the whole time. I definitely advise to book asap since the sell put quick. Book as close to the front as possible. I was dumbfounded they let you take video and photos of the show. I know hand down you and your family or friends will love it.

The atmosphere and vibe of the show was excellent the entire time. The chief was clever and funny and kept the audience entertained the entire evening. The food was served buffet style and was delicious. The entertainment from the hula dances to the fire show at the end was incredible. I’d recommend this Luau to anyone looking for a great evening.

We enjoyed the luau here. The chief was amazing and we loved his sense of humor. People were called on stage for few special moments of their life like who got newly married, who were celebrating their anniversaries and the longest married couple. The food was fine like other luaus. We were greeted with flowers and head bands. We were also allowed to take pics with the crew. There were multiple performances in alternate by the ladies and gentlemen of the crew. The fire dance was amazing and we enjoyed it very much.

The most organized Luau dinner event ever. Everything was very well done, the seating, bar, drinks, food queues, the show. We were also invited on stage for romantic dance since we were celebrating our first anniversary. No wonder why it’s rated no 1 in the island. Do not waste your money on Royal, the experience for both the package are similar

Loved their show and the food. We were not really happy about the drinks. Also, our transport bus was late and due to this we missed the first 45 minutes - which sucked. The overall experience was wonderful though.

I cannot say enough good things about Chief’s Luau, we absolutely LOVED it! From the moment we arrived, they was so welcoming. All the performers and staff were incredibly kind and talented. The Chief is so funny, he was very entertaining the entire evening, made you feel right at home. The royal package included a real lei with fresh flowers and a woven headband they had made themselves. The food was excellent, plenty to choose from and the entire show from start to finish was so much fun!

This place is absolutely amazing. The Chief was Awesome and hilarious. We got so lucky to get in! And we are so thankful we did. As honeymooners we were called up on stage and gifted beautiful flowers and got to slow dance. The performances were all amazing as well. Highly recommend if your in the area. 🤙

The show was first rate. The performance was professional, the costumes were beautiful and the fire show was awesome. A story was told about different islands in the Pacific, with dances from those islands. Staff was attentive and The Chief was funny, the food was fresh and plenty of it. Would recommend.

This is a folk village with mostly Pacific Islander culture. There is a large parking lot at the door, and there is a water park in the grounds. The performers here should all be of Polynesian nationality. The men are all strong, with bronzed skin, bare feet, and can sing and dance. Lots of people come here to see the show, and there's a buffet. But the meal is simple and the taste is very bland. The people here are very enthusiastic, and the overall decoration is very ethnic. With the enthusiastic music, the whole person will dance here.

First experienced Chief Luau when I was active duty Navy and he was performing with the Polynesian Cultural Center. My daughter and I truly enjoyed the Spirit of the performance in 2009. On honeymoon with my husband 2019, I was excited to see that Chief Luau has started his own dream and attended Chief's Luau, blessed to receive the Chief's Nut as he remember my service to our Country! My daughter and husband pictured; attended Chief's Luau 9/2021. What a wonderful display of Hawaiian True Island Spiritualism and Culture. God Bless his family for inspiring those that visit!

First time in Hawaii, first time at a luau. Amazing experience and the best one we've had here yet. We absolutely loved the show, the humor, the dancing of course, and the fire show at the end. The food was excellent and the drinks affordable. Would definitely recommend!! 💯

It is very well worth the price we paid for the Royal Package. The Chief is very funny. The event is hands-on. You get to make a fire and headbands. The food was delicious. Definitely coming back with the rest of the family.

Great Dinner show, food was very tasty ...if driving i recommend you leave at least 1 and a half hour to 2 hours if driving from waikiki due to traffic and slower speed limits. Overall a very entertaining show! Very informative and fun and interactive! Would definitely recommend to friends planning a visit

Absolutely amazing experience. So glad we picked this as the Luau of choice as our first trip to Hawaii. Bought the Royale package and it was worth every penny. Chief is absolutely hilarious and his team is very well devoted and passionate about their craft. Got selected to participate in an event and enjoyed every bit of it. Highly recommend this to anyone and everyone. Mahalo.

The show was amazing the women the men the music the whole performance was one of kind not to mention the colors and costumes a sight to see BEAUTIFUL.

It was a great time for the family. The chief was funny and kept things entertaining. The food was good. There were a few vegetarian options, but that wasn't the primary reason why we came. The kids really enjoyed the fire portion of the show, and I think the adults enjoyed the Hawaiian dance. It was a nice outdoor setting inside the water park. But I would recommend going with a group of people to really enjoy the environment and family atmosphere that the chief talks about.

First time going to a luau and I was blown away but how incredible the experience was!! 10000/10!! Had the best time, the food was amazing and the show was so much fun! My husband had been to luaus in other islands but this was my first time ever so I didn’t know what to expect and it awesome. Also I was hesitant on whether royal was worth it - it is!! Not only do you get an extra drink, you also get a tshirt and flower lei, and you also get the best seats, and access the buffet first. We went on a Wednesday and it was awesome. Definitely recommend!! Also recommend getting there early so check out the souvenir shop, take photos etc before the place gets packed.

This was so awesome! They use the grounds for the water park in the area to host the luau as well and it’s a really great venue with lots of room for everyone to socialize and enjoy the show. The dancers are amazing and the Chief is really entertaining. THE FOOD is also so good. They really showed up with great options and a really amazing experience. As the sun sets and the performers do their dancing from different Polynesian cultures, they finish up the night with fire dancing and they’re amazing!!! You should definitely book your tickets if you’ll be in the area.

Outstanding! What an absolute blast. The show has so much heart with a hard working and talented cast of dancers, singers, drummers, guitarists, cooks, waiters, waitresses, technicians and more. I loved hearing Chief’s stories about the culture, his family and about the cast. I will definitely come back! Oh! Purchase the Royal tickets! Well worth the added cost! Beautiful leis and palm tied headpieces at the tables! Outstanding views of the stage too!

WOW! What an incredibly entertaining way to experience Polynesian culture. Chief and his team are amazing! I learned so much. From the dancers, to the music, to the dinner, and the fire show… just WOW! It was totally worth the price and I’m so glad we were able to get tickets as they were hard to come by. Mahalo!

Really cool experience! Getting drinks can take a while as the whole place is packed during check in. Food was surprisingly good and was buffet style. The cheif/host is downright hilarious. Very dry sense of humor but knows how to control the crowd. You will enjoy it.

We’ve been to 4 luau’s in Oahu and this is by far the best one we’ve been to. The food is delicious, the ambiance is perfect and the performances are immaculate and so entertaining for the entire family. We will most certainly be back next time we visit the island.

We had a great time! We did transportation from Waikiki and the communication about pickup spot and time was great; we had no issues finding the bus. Our bus guide wasn’t as informative as I had hoped but it was an easy ride anyway. We did the mid-range package that came with the nut lei and two drinks. Two adults and a 10 year old all had fun. Food was ok - kid didn’t find much they liked but we did. Drinks were awesome. As other reviewers mentioned the entertainment was amazing! Great show and demonstrations!

20 out of 5 stars! This was wonderful. The Chief is funny and talented. All of the performers and staff were kind and incredibly talented. It is much more organized than the other luaus we attended. The fire knife show was the best I've ever seen. The only improvement I could suggest was that they add benches for guests to be able to sit on while waiting for the event to start.

This was a fun and entertaining night for my family of all ages! So glad we made the drive from Waikiki for it. Chief was funny and interactive. But more importantly you could sense the pride and tradition they have for the culture. Such a better experience than a hotel luau in Maui I’ve been to previously. Definitely recommend! The food was good. Pork is great and honestly my favorite thing. Everything else is basic but again, def worth it.

Great Luau with excellent food! The chief was great and funny at times! Kid friendly. The show was AMAZING! With so many options, we are very glad we chose this one! You can opt in to pay for transportation at booking from various resorts/hotels. The bus ride was comfortable and the host was very knowledgeable and shared a lot of information about Oahu on the way!

The only Luau I have been BUT Chief’s Luau was the most WONDERFUL experience for different reasons. The location, the people, the fresh flower lei, the show, the night, the drinks, the souvenir, the food (however the food wasn’t the best option especially for pescatarian or vegetarian people reason of what I am giving 4 ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️ The thing that can be improved). Every single part of the show will help to keep your eyes on them. I’m pretty sure for all these reasons is considered one of the Best Luau in Honolulu.

  • 5/5 Bernadette B. 4 months ago on Google • 1 review
Great Luau! One of the best I've been to. Very organized, pre assigned seating. Food was all you can eat and very good. The show was really good. Beautiful dancing, some audience participation which was fun. The finale fire dance was spectacular! Best I've ever seen! Definitely worth the money. I will attend this Luau again
