Beautiful location with friendly staff. If you want to escape from it all, here’s a good start for you. There’s nothing really near you, but you’re a close enough drive to plenty of local restaurants. Easily accessible bathroom and shower facilities.

Quiet spot to enjoy the ocean or fish. You can rent cabins here if you are military affiliated. The cabins are a bit run down but something is better than nothing. Some cabins are on the ocean side and other apartments are across the green space. Lots of green space and benches to enjoy the view.

You need a military ID to enter. Beautiful beach with sandwich shop, convenience store and cabins. The beach is open for day use with military ID.

Beautiful beach. Wonderful amenities including a nice bar, neat playground, mini golf course, and a great shoppette. The cabins are dated - if you shift your expectations from a 3/4star resort, to what the Air Force recreation station can reasonably offer for ~$140, you won’t be disappointed by the bugs and roaches in the cabins, or, in our case, the little mouse that found its way in through our open door - which we opened because the cabin was warm. It was way more comfortable than sleeping in a tent. In spite of the critters, we had a nice stay, right on the beach, and made some wonderful memories.

For anyone with military installation access, It is the best beach to visit on Oahu and if you are lucky enough to rent a cabin even better. For those who are staying at the Hale Koa, this is beach is a must to experience a different scene from Waikiki.

Aloha all; so this beach is for military active, retired only. You can get one of them to sponsor you for a party or to just use the beach. It's a great beach with great quiet beaches. They also have beach houses for rent that while older are still great being on the beach.

$127 a night for a 2 bedroom cottage on the beach. 1 minute walk to the water. Spectacular views from patio. Rooms are furnished with a full kitchen and bbq grill. Secluded and private with excellent views. No AC but didn't need it. Ocean breezes blow through the windows all day and night.

Very clean beaches, amazing views and a shopette to get your forgotten snacks, drinks, and ice. There is also a Subway attached if you are camping and want a break from camp food. I did not camp, just came and visited the beach for a day.

Beautiful, uncrowded, white sand beach with turquoise waters; cottages for rent; fabulous play structure near the main check in building; and another (smaller, but equally creative and colorful play structure closer to the cottages). Other activities such as disc golf, paint ball, beach volleyball, and miniature golf are also available.

I've loved this place I've been coming here for over 20 years for 20 years it's beautiful location. You can bring a dog and a husband on a leash and they have areas specifically for dogs some spots you're not allowed to have the dogs off leawfully.

Definitely not 5 star accommodations but these are beach cabins so that is to be expected. Cannot beat the beach though. One of the best on the island.

We had a great time on the beach? The bath house was as clean as bath house gets. The beach, around the pavilion and bath house we're so clean and free of litter. And the ladies in the gift shop or so lovely to our children. We were so impressed with them and their pineapple soft serve!

This place is amazing. You have to be military to go and enjoy. Wish I had joined after high school, but glad I have family who made it possible to vivisection this place.

Cabins have seen some use and show some wear. Could stand to use a little updating. A/C isn't necessary, but there are a few hot times of the day and year where it would be nice. But can't beat the "right on the beach" locations. Our first visit to MWR and the Souvenir Shop wasn't too impressive. The staff didn't seem very interested in taking care of us or answering our questions. The second visit was better as Tiffany was especially helpful and informative. Looking forward to our stay in January of '24.

There is no air conditioning in the cabins they found an unexplored piece of ordinance and told us we had 45 minutes to pack up and leave or shelter in place. The front desk staff was extremely rude.

Cabins feel damp and disgusting. There is no AC and it’s like you’re in an oven. Sheets are dirty and the floor is so gross you have to walk on it with shoes on. All the cabinets and furniture are broken or breaking. It is clear NOTHING is maintained here. I got a skin irritation just from sleeping here for ONE NIGHT. Bellows is just something you should do during the day. Whatever you do, DO NOT stay here.

Wow! Perks of being in the Air Force. Lucky I have family on the island that recommended we go. Totally awesome beach and the weather the day we went was perfect.

Great housekeepers, maintenence personal, reservationists, bartender and coffee bar personal. Love the place/ cabins but there are still at least 2 cabins that haven't been refurbished. I was in the unfurbished one the last 2 weeks in Jan. 2024 (449) Hope to be in a bit nicer one when we come back Jan. 2025. Mahalo 🌺🐢

We only went there for the beach. Since it's open to everyone on weekends. One of the best spots to ride your boogie board since the waves are strong. It is a beautiful place to camp and enjoy the beach with family and friends.
