Whenever I crave for Thai cuisine, I visit this place or order via GrabFood. You can never go wrong ordering any meat dish with their delicious savory fried rice varieties. For this particular visit, I ordered seafood laksa and Thai omelette. The laksa was very coconutty with the right amount of curry. The seafoods (squid, shrimp) were fresh and snappy. The soup did not have noods, only bean sprouts. The Thai omelette was huge, with crispy edges, and packed with good stuff (I suppose meat?). Do not miss ordering their special iced teas — whether pandan or lemon grass. The staff were friendly and very knowledgeable about their menu. The place was clean, very homey, with lots of Thai-inspired decor.

Very good Thai food and great value. The location is a bit out of the way but definitely worth going to if you are after good Thai food. The bagoong rice and garlic ribs were especially good. The service was good, took a while to get the appetiser we ordered and had to follow up but got them quickly afterwards. The restaurant itself is not fancy but was comfortable enough. It also accepts contactless payments so you can use Apple Pay or Google Pay if you are a foreigner. There is also limited parking. A good Thai restaurant in Manila and great value.

It's my son's request to eat at Smile Elephant. No problem because I also love Thai foods. Highly recommended. 👍

Nice Thai restaurant in Kapitolyo 🇹🇭🍴. Speaking of it, they offer pad thai, spring roll, bagoong rice and others thai food 😋. As always, it is good to compliment their food with refreshing milk tea 😉 P.S. Their pad thai is one of the best as per Booky.

We stumbled upon Smile Elephant while searching for food around the Kapitolyo area. We didn't even know it was so near to our condo and we were so glad we found an authentic Thai restaurant near our area!! The food was delicious! We loved their pork satay and their tom yung soup was really good!! It was full of shrimps and was very flavorful! It easily fed a group of 4! Their best sellers would be their fried spare ribs and their bangkok rice and their crab rice! We had to order another set of their flavor rice dishes because it was so rich and flavorful! We also had their sweet and spicy fish fillet! It was so crunchy on the outside but soft and moist inside! My wife and I partnered it with their Chang Beer which was a refreshing drink with all our spice filled food! We actually had 4 cans! Food tastes aside, the only downer here was it felt they wanted us to leave because it was closing time. They took our plates and placed the bill on our table even though we still didn't want to leave yet. I will let it slide this time. Will we comeback! For sure that is! We love the food! But hopefully we get a little bit more courtesy next time we visit! 😉👍

The best Thai food in Pasig and arguably in the Metro. This place gets plus points for being a gem in Kapitolyo and even more so for their excellent service and super helpful staff. The food is great and would recommend their Pad Thai (though I wished it were more spicy), the Fish Fillet in Mango Sauce, Thai Grilled Chicken, and Thai Spring Rolls. Great tip too if you're ordering for a big group, they allow you to give your own containers or platters for pick-up.

If you’re craving for authentic thai food, this is the place for you! Their pad thai is flavorful as well as the bangkok fried rice. But our favorite was the stir-fried scallops w/ thai chili paste. Luv the savory taste and freshness of the scallops!!! Overall, we had a really great time and we will surely go back to try the other dishes ❤️

My go to thai restaurant. We always make sure to visit and eat everytime we are in the area. Love the rotti, pomelo salad and pad thai and tom yum. I always order double to take home extra. Will always comeback and highly recommended.

Food was amazingly good. Made me nostalgic of Mama Thai and her food stall along Katipunan and in front of MWSS

Low rating due mainly to poor service. Food is good like the tom yum hit the spot and I wouldn't mind coming back for it but service was wild. Considering there's 5 servers in such a small place, it shouldn't be that hard right? But yeah, no. I think it's the system. They have an order online formula in place which is why servers tend to avoid eye contact and therefore are hard to call for additional items such as utensils, napkins or even the bill. Definitely not coming back.

A hole in a wall Thai restaurant. It’s located beside a carwash that serves as its parking. There’s an al fresco area too. Food didn’t take too long though it arrived per batch - pomelo salad and Laksa first, chicken satay, then the grilled pork neck and crab fried rice. The pomelo salad, satay, and grilled pork were okay. The grilled pork could’ve been better if it wasn’t too chewy but it tasted good. Their Laksa doesn’t seem like Laksa to me especially the crab fried rice. I had to ask if that’s really the rice we ordered. Their cold Thai tea is good :) Overall, total bill is around 1700 pesos

I recently had a delightful lunch experience at the Smile Elephant, a charming Thai restaurant that set my taste buds on a tantalizing trip to Southeast Asia. The ambiance is pure Thai charm, beautifully adorned with antique elephant decor and images of Thai royalty, a testament to the owner's Thai heritage. The menu is extensive, a veritable culinary tour of Thailand. We started off with the Garlic Squid and Garlic Pork Spareribs. The squid was satisfactory, cooked to perfection with a balanced garlic flavor. However, the spareribs were a bit on the salty side, which was a bit off-putting. The Green Papaya Salad was a fiery delight, albeit a little too spicy for our preference. Yet, its authenticity stood out, making it a must-try for heat-seekers. The Pad Thai, despite its generous portion, was a bit bland and could have used a bit more seasoning to bring out the flavors - maybe I was looking for nutty and chili flavor. The Bangkok Fried Rice was the star of the show. The umami and soy-based flavoring was a delectable treat, a must-try for anyone seeking to experience authentic Thai cuisine. The Milkfish with Mango Salad was fresh and invigorating, with the green mangoes adding an unexpected tangy twist. To wash down our meal, we opted for the Thai Milk Tea and the Pandan Iced Tea. Both were refreshing and complemented the food perfectly, rounding off the meal with a delightful sweet finish. Despite a few minor hiccups, the overall experience was enjoyable. The food brought comfort, akin to a nostalgic trip back to Thailand, all at a very reasonable price. We were so full that we had to take out the remaining food. Smile Elephant, with its authentic Thai dishes and charming ambiance, is certainly a place I look forward to visiting again. So if you're craving a Thai culinary adventure without breaking the bank, this is the place to be.

Digital order taking system is a big plus! Ordered pad thai, green thai chicken curry, thai garlic prawns, crabmeat fried rice, and thai iced tea. If you're expecting spicy thai food, then this might disappoint you. There's chili flakes in the condiments rack if you'd like to add some heat to your food. Best item we ordered is the thai iced tea. Everything else was ok, not bad. It took 30 minutes for the first dish to be served. Then we had to wait for another 10-15 minutes for the rest. We also had to remind the staff about our drinks, which seemed like they've forgotten about it. Place felt very thai. Nice decors. But there were a few small flying bugs inside. Parking is available in the resto premises, shared by an emission testing place, I think. Will still come back to try out other items in the menu.

Great hidden gem. Food's excellent and a great value. We really enjoyed our Pad Thai, Thai milk tea and their grilled pork neck. Definitely worth considering if you're looking for great inexpensive Thai food.

Not bad. But not great either. Did not live up to the reviews. The green curry chicken was not tasty enough, seemed to lack the curry. The tom yum goong has good enough taste but the shrimp was obviously not fresh as the shell was stubbornly stuck to the meat. The pad Thai was mediocre. There are much better Thai restos around.

Chanced upon this diner when we were searching for a place to eat light lunch at Kapitolyo. There was traffic and avoided it and luckily our turn brought us here 😅 tried their lemon grass tea, pad Thai, chicken garlic and crunchy catfish salad. It was packed. We would have tried their bagoong rice and other viands, but we just wanted to eat light only. Will definitely dine back
