Located in San Salvador Luisiana, this 90-meter high waterfalls is definitely a must-see in Laguna. According to guides, Hulugan Falls got its name after a cow fell (“hulugan” came from the term “hulog” which literally translates to fall) from its peak. It is best to go there after rainy days to see the full beauty of the falls but a little risky... For side trips you can also drop by at Talay and Hidden Falls (sight seeing only unlike hulugan falls) ENTRANCE FEE: 30PHP TOUR GUIDE: NO PARTICILAR AMOUNT

Worth the effort to visit! I was amazed when I saw the waterfalls though it has less water for now coz' of summer time. It is so high and the view is so perfect for me as a nature lover. The only problem is mostly the people who live there will try to rip you off. I stayed in Liliw and when I asked friends of mine how much to pay for the guide they said regular is 60-100-150 since the falls is not that far to hike.It only takes 20-30 min. When we got there and got tour guide(a must) she said and the people there said it's up to us how much will we pay they don't tell you how much is the guide costs. So we gave her 100 and she complains and said the regular cost of the guide is 300php. Like seriously? That's really a rip off!

I love the scenery and majestic falls. It was really breathtaking! But I hate the trekking we did to get there thus the 4 star rating. 30 minutes seems like forever! We were so tired when we arrived that we just sat, eat and relaxed, enjoying the place. We didn't have the energy to take a dip at the waterfalls. It there's an easier way to get there, I will definitely visit this place again.

it was just an accident ,that we went to the place of the rear falls, then February 17 Friday morning we were going to Luisiana town with my wife, the trip was very long on the zigzag road about 40 minutes, my wife felt a stomach ache , we had to get out of the car to use the confort room, so we saw that the place at Hulugan Falls is beautiful and thanks to that we bought food from the town's favorite, bibingka native cooked with ground rice with fresh coconut filling, there are also drinks that is fresh coconut juice, there are many native food stores in the Hulugan falls area.

They do three falls per activity. The trekking usually takes 4 hours in total depending on how fast or slow your paced are. It was rainy and quite muddy when we went there thus a 30 minute walk became 1hr+ from 1 falls to another. The first two falls are actually near to each other. Also take note that the guide fee is minimum of 500 regardless if it is 1 or 3 falls.

It was great experience. It was the beginning of June when I was there and the water was not much so its just right to be there and take a dip. Be sure to take water and food with you. Enjoy the sun and the water.

Probably the grandest waterfalls in the Philippine archipelago during the rainy season when the water volume is high. Best to visit right after the dry season in the Philippines. It is still closed as of October 19, 2020, due to covid19 related restrictions. This is confirmed by the brgy chairman of San Salvador. The local government unit of Brgy San Salvador is still awaiting directives from the municipality of Luisiana when to open up. If you are planning to visit, please stand by for further announcements from the municipality of Luisiana and/or Brgy San Salvador. The waterfalls is probably a 200 meter steep downhill hike from the jump off point.

An easy hike to see 3 water falls. A three hour drive from Manila. Good for day trips. Not as crowded as Pagsanjan Falls. Tour guides are required upon entering the drop off point.

We enjoy the falls , the water is cold , the locals are friendly, we had fun conversing to our tour guide while trekking going to the falls. There is life jacket rental at the falls for your safety. Tips: bring your own food and bring picnic blanket so you and your friends can set up the food and please have a garbage bag.
