Very educational experience, definitely worth the visit. It is a small museum located on school grounds, small but packed with information!

Just randomly visited the museum when I saw its placemark in Googlemap. Didn't fail me. It is just a small and simple 1 floor museum telling Bataan's history.

it's a small museum inside the Balanga Elementary school but with lots of things to see and learn from. photo taking and video recording inside the museum is prohibited. this is to preserve the artifacts from the effects of camera radiation.

A historical landmark in Balanga, Bataan. I wonder why so very few people visit this historical site nowadays.

The museum is located inside the public school so it is a little difficult to find. You need to ask someone at the school grounds to find it. The lady that gave the tour was excellent. She seemed really enthusiastic about her job. She is very knowledgeable and walked us through history. The kids and I loved the diorama. It is a small museum so do not expect a lot. But know that this is where the exact place where history happened.

Very educational. The museum is inside the school that's why it took me some time to locate it. The info is somehow updated because the museum opens at 9 am, not 8 am. There is an entrance of Php50 for tourists. I was not able to take up pictures though, of the inside, because it was forbidden to do so. Otherwise, the overall experience was great.

I learned that my prior conception of WWII atrocities was inadequate. What the Phillipino people endured was Hell on Earth. Thank God MacArthur returned! God bless those souls that suffered so painfully.

Not much artifacts to qualify as a museum. But the retired teachers who maintains this place are all great. One of them is Lola Maria, she was 19 when the Bataan battle happened. She explains the history and all her experiences passionately, kids love hearing her stories. Great place to stopover when in Bataan.

An eye-opening museum of the Philippine perspective of WWII. A good selection of artefacts and storytelling which is really enlightening - many of us in the West don’t hear of the horrors faced in the Pacific theatre of the war, especially things like the Bataan Death March. This museum benefits from being located at the place where the Americans surrendered the Philippine Commonwealth to the Empire of Japan, and is surrounded by a school, which keeps the memory of war and sacrifice alive for the younger generations. Definitely worth a visit

Very interesting despite many of the pictures being quite blurry. I was shocked by many of the atrocities attributed to the Japanese. The main thing is that it houses the actual location where Major General King surrendered to the Japanese, and there is a memorial of these events in the garden. The donation box is perhaps a bit much considering you have to buy a ticket (still cheap at 50 PHP per person), and also the slightly loud hostess was persistent in getting us to purchase merchandise. To be fair the screen-printed t-shirt was nice (let's see how long it lasts) for about 10 USD and she did give us some free stickers (free advertising)

Historical site just a short distance from Balanga plaza. Site is actually inside the elementary school grounds. Staff was very friendly. Entrance to the museum was discounted to 40 Pesos for Seniors. No photography inside the museum. If you are in Bataan this is definitely worth the 30 minute to an hour visit.’main feature is the spot where the US and Filipino forces surrendered to the Japanese Army.

Wonderful and informative experience! The inexpensive 50 peso admission fee also includes an interesting film. The woman at the front desk was super nice. She allowed us to take selfies but not pictures of the exhibits. Strange policy but ok…

No fascinating adventure, but the museum gave me a really good feeling about things I never was taught. I'm American. Be sure to have actual address before going. Many residents have no idea where it is........ Certainly visit it!

The best place to visit first before touring other historical spots in Bataan. It has preserved some artifacts and buildings relevant to the Bataan Death March and World War II timeline. Kudos to the museum volunteers who relate the stories behind the mementos. Located within the Balanga Elementary School compound; museum fee is 50 pesos/head.

We learned great history here! Thanks to the retired volunteer teacher (sorry forgot her name 🙂 but it's her on the 1st picture), who was very patient to tell us stories of how was it during WWII. Some pics are the same we saw at Mt. Samat Museum. It's the story telling that made dropping by this museum worth it. Thank you ma'am!

This museum holds precious and memorable moments during the war. I learned a lot about Philippines thanks to this museum. They collect donations to keep this open. No photography allowed :( Add this place to your list to see :)

You will meet survivors of the Bataan Death March who give a great educational tour. This is the exact site where the Americans surrendered Bataan to the Japanese. And the Japanese torture room is still standing. There is a school built around the museum, so visit on a weekday.
