What an amazing place to visit and honor the lives of those who gave the ultimate sacrifice. It was impossible for me to walk these grounds without feeling humbled and full of gratitude. It truly is a remarkable sight. The grounds are cared for impeccably, the murals and maps are beautiful, and there is so much information to learn about World War II battles in the Far East. I highly recommend a stop here if you are visiting Manila.

American soldiers who died during world war ii are buried here. Vast open space with beautiful green landscape and lots of big trees. The place is really quite and peaceful away from the busy city. At the center of the plot, there's a higher ground with an alter at the center and walled monuments in circle. Some of the important historic events are mapped inside the walls of the monument. The names of the soldiers are engraved on the walls and also on the gravestones. There's a museum and Visitor center also which is not open to the public as of now. Good ambience to spend some time with family and friends and to take a look back in to the history. Most of all, the place doesn't give you a feel of cemetery, it's just refreshing to be here. Good place for jogging and walks. No food is allowed inside. The place is thoroughly maintained. Id of anyone in the group has to be shown to the securities. ♿✔️Entrance is Wheelchair accessible but not the center high ground. The guards are really friendly and accommodating. Taking photos and videos are allowed always remember it's a cemetery.

Nice way to spend an afternoon if in the BGC area. Interesting to learn more about our shared history with the US. Should treat the place with respect - it is a cemetery after all. Wear appropriate attire when visiting and leave your pets at home - they are not allowed.

This place is of the best in the world for reflection and appreciation. This is the largest cemetery in the world for US WWII personal and the largest US war cemetery outside the USA. Exceptionally maintained and beautifully landscaped. Would recommend for those looking to reflect and get a small break from the city.

Such a humble emotional experience. The grounds are beautiful. This memorial makes me proud to be an American. The sacrifice the Fillipino and American soldiers made during WW2 is awe-inspiring. All gave some, some gave all...... God bless the U.S.A. and Philippines. If you're woke and want socialism I encourage you to visit a war memorial. Specifically a WW2 memorial. Maybe then you'll understand true sacrifice and what a legitimate fascist is. The U.S. is far from perfect. But realize the problem is corrupt politicians and corporations. United, we stand. Divided, we fall.

Breathtaking. I am honored to have had the privilege of visiting. The experience was superb and the tour guide provided additional information that really spoke to the greatest generation and their sacrifices. If you ever visit the Philippines, I believe this cemetery is one of those locations you must stop by to see.

Our first day out in the field our Mission President took us here, upon arrival he told us of those who had fought and died with honour. He later gave us time to reflect on our life before the mission, who we want to be in the mission and what kind of person we want to become after. On our last day, he took us back and told us to pray to our Father to accept our Missionary service as a sign of our love. I have so much respect for those who fought to make the Philippines a country of freedom to worship. I wouldn’t have served there if it weren’t for them and those who continue to battle in the Lords Vineyard 💓💓 Woke up missing the work 😩💓 #LastDayInTheMission #MemorialReflections

(Translated by Google) ✝️🇺🇸🇵🇭 ... it's a touching place. An endless expanse of crosses and names. It is one of my favorite places in Manila. There is peace in this cemetery, order and peace, things you won't find anywhere else in Manila. Furthermore, let's not forget the sacrifice of many young people to have the world as we know it today. In the background the rich palaces of Bonifacio Global City. Government-run place, extremely well-kept.

Free of charge for the museum. You must not bring any food or drink inside. The museum has well organized, and it is a peaceful place to visit and learn the effect of the war. Suitable for the family and good for the children to walk around the park. Recommend for taking American or veteran to visit this place.

Closed until further notice due to the pandemic?? One of the most open and spacious areas in Manila...CLOSED, due to COVID. And the shopping malls are packed! And no notice anywhere online that this place is closed until further notice. Folks, this is about the SAFEST place you could open during the pandemic. Really sad...

I love to visit this place with its well maintained lawns, trees, shrubberies, and its building is with a high quality finishings. I have learned and realized how the American Government helped our nation liberated from the enemies. It is also amazing that they already have their Museum which started 2019 which is very educational and can learn from the displays and I love how they put up the audio visual materials to educate everyone who wants to visit this beautiful place. I felt so overwhelmed how those fallen soldiers have sacrifice their lives for us. I say, Thank you very much.

This cemetery is a very moving setting and tribute to American soldiers, sailors, marines, Coast Guard, and Philippine Scouts who gave their lives throughout the Pacific Theater in World War II. Our free guide was Julie, a staff member at the American Cemetery. She was deeply knowledgeable about World War II and so polite and very friendly. The museum at the Cemetery is excellent and thorough. I am a history professor, and I learned a lot from Julie and the museum exhibits. As with all American military cemeteries, there are no entrance fees to visit the cemetery and museum. I highly recommend a visit to these beautiful sacred grounds.

One of the most serene spaces in BGC honoring those who fought in the war. I'd say that the Manila American Cemetery is more serene than the Arlington memorial. They are open to visitors but just take note of the holidays. If you want some quite time in the metro, take time to visit this memorial.

I visited this place because it was in the vicinity of BGC where I was staying during my official abroad trip. It's a large piece of land with well marked pathways and graves all around. All the soldiers that died during 2nd world war are buried there. It had a central seating area as well in the form of a small amphitheatre which is usually used as a photo taking place for people. Whole of the ground that's not concrete is lush green and that's what makes this area so serene, but it's still a graveyard. A sanctum built with so many graves that highlight that war affects an individual more than it affects the country. Peace came at a price. May God give them rest in peace. Hope it helps!

Spotless, manicured, peaceful, emotional....an unexpected place in busy Manila....17000 tombs of soldiers, American and Filipino, some with a cross, some with a David star, some with a name, some without....no matter what political side you defend, the story of these guys, who died far away from their motherland, just to obey orders, and just because it's war....is wrenching...there are not so many beautiful places in Manila, and this one is truly beautiful. And Calm.

This place is a solemn, gorgeous reminder of the Americans and Filipinos who lose their lives during WW2 fighting for freedom. The new visitor center is an amazing add-on. You could spend all your time in the visitor center--it's that good.

Decades ago, I’ve brought my children here for them to understand and appreciate the hardships that the Filipinos and Americans had to endure for us to have the freedom we are enjoying now. Returning once again in this place has given me a deeper meaning of the sacrifices and lives that those heroes has given up. As I sat there watching the short film and the narrative of how it has been during the war gives me goosebumps. Some of those foreigners watching both Japanese and Americans were crying just watching the destruction of lives and properties because of the war. And this place is a memorial honouring those who has served well. Can’t help but had an overwhelming warmth inside my heart knowing that at one time Filipinos stood side by side with the Americans in fighting for our freedom. A big snappy salute to all the soldiers.

I had a unique and memorable experience at the Manila American Cemetery and Memorial, situated right in the heart of the BGC area. This hidden gem, often less explored, made my visit all the more special, thanks to the pleasant weather, mild cool breeze, and overcast skies (humidity aside). The meticulous documentation of World War II and the vital roles played by both America and the Philippines truly impressed me. The detailed accounts of those who served during the war provided a deep insight into history. Moreover, the property is exceptionally well maintained, adding to the overall experience. Visiting this memorial was a departure from the usual tourist spots and offered me a different perspective on history.

A beautifully manicured cemetery in Taguig for soldiers killed in WW2. This place is easily accessible from EDSA, a major thoroughfare that connects the north and south of Metro Manila. It is also adjacent to the BGC or the the Bonifacio Global City which is very popular nowadays for its modern buildings and developments. With a total of 17,206 graves, the cemetery has the largest number of graves of any cemetery for U.S. personnel as well as other soldiers from Allied countries killed during World War II.

Arrived here 30mins before it closes. They're open from 9am to 5pm, 7days a week. This is, hands down, the best cemetery that I have ever visited. Well taken care of and very very very clean. It's free to visit the cemetery as long as you don't bring a pet. You can't go strolling around in your vehicle. You have to walk yourself around. The museum was very nice. I wish we can also have the museum in Libingan ng mga bayani.

This solemn place is beyond incredible! Beautiful 360 degree wall of MIA soldiers contains the engraved names of 36,000+ Filipinos and Americans lost in WW2. Excellent maps of all Pacific battles. Museum includes many informative exhibits and a wonderful film. The best part though was the complimentary personalized tour from our guide Julie Hilaga. Ms. Hilaga enthusiastically went out of her way to answer our endless questions. I could not believe that entrance was free of charge. My wife and I just had to show proof of vaccination and our IDs. Free parking is also available. What an amazing experience!!!

(Translated by Google) As the world's largest memorial to the World War II Pacific battlefield cemetery, it is deeply imprinted on the map of Manila, which is three times larger than the Normandy World War II cemetery but far less famous. Visit here at noon and the temperature is close to 30 degrees. A worker is cleaning up the tombstone under the scorching sun. She wrapped her head in a T-shirt to cool down, which was a bit weird. The cleaner said that every three months should be used to carefully wipe each tombstone with a tool like this. I asked her if there is a body under the tombstone? She shook her head and said that these crosses were only monuments, but each of the above names belonged to a soldier who died on the Pacific battlefield. The memorial cemetery has been a free and open "theme park" since the day it was built. In the horseshoe-shaped corridor, the floor is the state emblem of the 50 states that make up the United States. The walls are engraved with the names of the fallen officers and soldiers. It is not so much a cemetery as it is called a park, that is, it has a historical commemorative significance. At the same time, a large expanse of lawns is very open, and many local people will take their children to take a walk.

(Translated by Google) I went on a city tour. If you go by yourself, you can only take a rental car or a taxi from Ayara Station on the elevated line LINE3, but it is a neat and clean cemetery. It is worth a look. Free country name at the entrance? You will be asked. The murals, which explain the attack and defense of the Pacific War, and the names of American soldiers who died in the Philippine front are written on the wall. Is it larger than the Peace Memorial Park in Okinawa? Isn't it? The lawn is well maintained and is very beautiful, and you can see the city of Manila because it is on a hill. There are an increasing number of people who don't know the war, but Japan has attacked and controlled such a place ...

Cemetery was opened in December 1960. It covers huge area (152 acres) and includes the graves, the Wall of Missing (more than 32K of missing in action), the Memorial, the Chapel , the Altar, visitors building. The burial plots are arranged in concentric rings around the memorial. There are more than 17K headstones. In 4 rooms bordering the walls there are ten-foot-high mosaic maps of crucial campaigns during World War II in the Pacific. The places is open from 9 am to 5 pm. Entrance, only one from the roundabout next to Arya Building, is free. There is not much shadow in the cemetery, so it is advisable to visit on a cloudy day or in the morning on a sunny day. Highly recommended.

At the heart of BGC, the war memorial and American cemetery is a vast open space with carefully maintained lush green ground, and a simple, but elegant and informative monument at the center. Grayline half day historic Manila tour’s first stop is here. The quiet surrounding in the middle of very busy business district is absolutely peaceful. The tourists center is under construction now, but I was told that it’ll open shortly. You can chose to spend some moments amidst the nature and reflect.

Love the serene ambiance of this memorial park. I paid a visit there and its great thing that they opened a musuem narrating the stories of 2nd World War and how the Americans and Filipinos fought together for indendepence and peace.
