Good spot to stop at on a road trip towards Lafia, Benue or Jos. Just by the expressway so you can’t miss it. Known for their one of a kind, delicious goat meat. They also sell palm wine and beer. Other vendors around them sell food.

This is now a popular meat drive by stop, mostly grilled goat meat and chicken available, but also a variety of other local dishes available for travellers. This spot is located along the Lafia - Jos express and is very popular for roasted meat. With the dualisation of the road parking along the road has become mainstay with adequate lots for parking.

On the expressway, easy to access. The meat is freshly prepared and tastes awesome, you can have yours there or takeaway. I made two trips in one week (to and fro Lafia); anyone going that way should try it out!

She's been around for awhile now.. Any day and anytime she's always available. Even governors stops by to eat her meat. She is good at what she does.. Going or coming back from Abj without stopping by is a mistake. Best barbecue meat I've eaten.

A meat joint along the express road leading to Lafia when coming from Akwanga. The marinating of the goat meat before grill gives the meat it's unique taste. I'm not a fan of the Asabe grilled/bbq meat but I sometimes enjoy it. The place is a travelers delight for those who uses that route.

A great local meat spot. Palmwine is also available here alongside other alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages. Two great meat options at this spot. A journey along that route is not complete if you don't stop here.

Grilled Goat meat and Palmwine. Ever on a road trip along Lafia - Akwanga Expressway in a private vehicle,... I encourage you to make a pit-stop, stretch legs and eat grilled meat and small palmwine... Very popular place among travellers on this route... Service can be better and neater... The experience is good. I recommend!

Here is a very good place to stop by. You will enjoy their roasted meat and fresh palmwine, trust me. Located along Lafia-Markudi road (Akwanga, Nasarawa State.)

It happens to be a traveler's hangout spot... Palmwine and Goat meat always available there. Every day if the week, this place is in business. They don't have soft drinks though. It's not a five star restaurant but it's a cool place to break your journey.

On the road from Markurdi to Abuja in the Akwanga town area is this lovely local joint where you can get deliciously roasted/grilled goat meat with pepper and other spices. As with almost everything in Benue state it is really affordable and allows you have that local touch touch lacking in most urbanized areas. Would like to visit again when passing through.

Lol why won't I give 5 stars. The best local meat and palm wine joint. And then food is cheap if you're hungry for swallow too. It's local so don't expect much. Good service as well.

Goat meat on point. You have to be there early (10am-2pm) to get the really good parts (meats). At 200 naira per part, the meat is affordable. They sell other local food like swallows and drinks, both alcoholic and non alcoholic. Their palm wine is fresh and ok.
