The stadium is okay. Although the turn out of fans is not much as what you see in Kano, Jos, Nasarawa etc. This is the only NPFL venue that I have been to where that is a special section for VIPs, the ticket cost N1000 though.

I have been here severally for my weekend morning walk, I must say it is OK, the strategic position of the environment. It just need more touches to make it well standard. With that, more income would be yielded to the state government if it is been used frequently.

The turf has been remodeled at the football pitch but job is substandard, the long jump area is still ignored. The toilets aren't really encouraging, renovation and constant cleaning and disinfecting must be applied. The fact that over the years only one side of the pitch has a roof should be properly looked into. Good waste disposal methods must be used e.g dustbins. The pool area is totally dilapidated. Scoreboard should be digitalised. Lighting has been off for some time. Utmostly security must be looked into. Round the clock open offices should be taken into consideration. It can be better.

Good stadium. Good for football practice and exercise, and Could be better if major construction is carried out to accommodate fans. And the lighting is fixed for night matches

Only the football pitch is in good standard condition, other sporting arenas are in bad condition. These pictures were the swimming pools, today they are grass pits

I'm so glad and humbled to have visited the great Aper Aku stadium. I'm in celebration of the good man Aper Aku is. To this day, 35years after his demise, the Late Governor Aper Aku is regarded as the best governor to ever govern Benue State.Β Like Thomas Sankara he is also regarded as a visionary leader ahead of his time. The Stadium was named after the person that constructed it, the late Aper Aku. If you're a fan of history, you can also visit the Benue Brewery, Benro Packaging, Benue Bottling Company, Lobi Bank, Ber-Agbum Fish Farm, Ikogen Cattle Ranch, Taraku Vegetable Processing Industry and Benue International Sheraton Hotel. That Hotel is a must VISIT for every Nigerian. Rest well Visionary Aper Aku

The traditional home ground of the Benue State sponsored Glo Premier League team, Lobi Stars. It is named after the Second Republic Governor of Benue State, Aper Aku who initiated the stadium construction. Aper Aku stadium got a major upgrade by the then Governor of Benue State, Gabriel Suswam to restore the stadium to its great days and return Lobi Stars F.C. to their home turf.

It's a really nice place, it is the most standard sporting center in Benue State and it has state of the art sporting equipments. It is clean, wild and easy to navigate and also it has a restaurant, restroom and a lodge. This facility holds a great number of sporting activities as many as you can think of. It's really amazing, you all should visit here someday.
