My son has been going to MIKA for about 6 years. When he first started he was 12 years old and struggling with very low self esteem. The care and encouragement that he got at MIKA allowed him to grow beyond his fears and doubts. Today he is a certified black belt and an instructor at MIKA. The lessons that he has learned there have far exceeded my expectations and I am so proud of the man he has become, but it all started with a phone call to MIKA and I am glad I made that call.

My daughter went to MIKA for years and loved it until the last year or so that she went there. She was teaching all the classes and enjoyed it unless the Sensei was in a bad mood and would take it out on my daughter. She was told spring break that we weren't allowed to go anywhere because they were going on vacation and she would have to teach the classes. Mind you she was 15 at the time. There are numerous other reasons why we left but would take too long to write. If you care about your children don't take them to MIKA Florida Leadership Academy!

I love this place, the staff is great, and my son really enjoys coming here. I had my son in after school care at his school and everyday when I would pick him up he either had an attitude or would talk back to me. At Mika, that totally changed and he's much better with his behavior. I love how they teach him respect, they help him with his homework, and they know how to balance fun and discipline at the same time.

MIKA is the absolute best dojo! My daughter has been going there for over a year and has completely changed into a different person in all of the best ways. She is so much more confident and less anxious. Sensai Jen and Craig care about every child as their own and it really shows in the relationships they develop with each of them. They are also heavily involved the parents and we have developed a close relationship with them as well. If your child is struggling with bullying, confidence, social anxiety, etc and/or you want them to get more physically active, then MIKA is the place for you!

I highly recommend MIKA academy. Since I enrolled my son, I have noticed positive improvements in his academic performance and interpersonal relationships. Sensei Craig is simply the best. I wish I had enrolled my son sooner.

MIKA presents many different programs for Palm Bay area families to take part in. Karate classes for the youngest students up to adults; Ninja trix, which has a great balance of gymnastics, parkour and self-defense; After-school care AND day camp for school age children; and even the Parent's night out once a month for those of you who need a couple hours child free. I cannot say enough good things about the Academy, the staff is amazing and command the respect due them while being respectful of their students at the same time. My grandson has attended many classes, events and Day Camps over the last year and he has learned a great deal in that time. My grandson's Cub Scout Pack was welcomed today and introduced to the Ninja Trix program. The class started off as any good fitness program does - with a warm up. A quick "Simon Says"-like game taught the kids how to listen and show respect to the coaches with "Yes, Ma'am" or "Yes, Sir". Forward rolls (somersaults) and a little work on a safety vault before tackling the obstacle course. Much more was packed into the hour with the coaches taking the time to help individuals who were struggling with a new concept. I am proud of all our Cubs that participated today, but I am also very proud of the staff that made it all possible.

My daughter has been attending MIKA for over a year, she has thrived in this amazing program. Her instructors are caring and relatable, they take the time to know each student and pour into the development of each and everyone. The instructors are self reflective and always seeking to improve how they teach. If you are looking for a family friendly environment where your child can grow come check out MIKA.

My 6 year old son has been going to Mika for 2 years and it has been the best thing for him. He has learned many life skills and has come out of his shell. All of the coaches have been so helpful with him and treat him as if he was their own child.

Sign even says absolutely no left turn!!!! Thank you for blocking traffic for 5 minutes until you finally cut in line the wrong way! I would never allow my child to ride in your after school van. You cannot even follow simple rules to keep children safe.

Mika has given our energetic 4 year old a place to try a new activity, work on focus, and learn what a good work ethic looks like. Our son looks up to the older students and instructors and wants to be just like them!

My son is 6 and he has been enrolled here for over a year and a half. He absolutely love it and in fact asks to stay longer each day! The classes are age appropriate and very well taught by the sensei’s and helpers! Life skills are reinforced/taught! I look forward to Monday and Wednesday nights classes to watch his karate growth week to week! He applies what he has learned to his life everyday! Amazing program and would absolutely recommend to everyone!!

My daughter started at the MIKA Florida Suntree location at the age of 6 ( Spring of 2021) and has been going to both afterschool program, which includes their classes, and their summer camp program. Since she has been going there, her dedication to her school work, time management, confidence, and self-discipline has greatly improved. The instructors are experienced enough to run the class, and humble enough to make it about the children. They divide the class in a way that covers the instruction and then end it with a fun activity. The actual program covers the bases of self-defense, self-discipline, mindfulness, and health and fitness. I recommend MIKA Florida to everyone

My son absolutely loves going to MIKA! I love the atmosphere there. We attend the Palm Bay location. The instructors are friendly and patient with the students. My family chose to attend MIKA because the classes are organized and the facility is clean. We visited other facilities prior to choosing MIKA but they weren’t organized. They are big on teaching the kids discipline and respect. They refer to the kids as β€œSir” or β€œma’am” and in turn expect the kids to refer to them in the same manner.

Absolutely love MIKA. It is a place where we can come together in a family atmosphere to learn karate. They teach leadership, discipline and respect. They are arms wide open for everyone from all ages and walks of life. This is our second home.
