💢 Another popular mall among teens & tourists. As it is centrally located at Melaka town & all the museums. Great place to stop by with the current hot weather. Lots of clothing shop here.

Still my favorite shopping mall in Melaka. I really like Dataran Pahlawan. Three types of shopping malls in one. A modern part with modern look and shops, Padini, sport shops, ... An underground section, more traditional, with a lot of small shops, phone, clothes, hair dressers. The heritage market which needs more ads so can become more popular and all shps could reopen. Then, access to another mall with the cinema, Sport world, OC, Mr DIY, the 3D art museum... The only disappointing thing is the food court, but Mc Donald, A&W, KFC,... can be found.

Nice mall that sells a variety of items from different little shops such a clothing items, gadgets and food stalls. They even have a cinema inside and almost forgot there is a arcade beside the cinema. Real good place to hang out or bring a date.

It's air-conditioned and has shops and places to buy, eat and drink.

The air conditioning was too cold, it's good for our tropical weather, but it just so cold though. You can walk from here to the famously A'Famosa Melaka, you may also park your car at this mall parking area as the outside parking lot always full.

This mall has a confusing layout. Got lost several times trying to find toys'r'us. Many shops are shuttered or not in operation. The air-conditioning is not strong either If you do not have a specific item you are looking for and just wanna spend time indoors, perhaps getting lost in a mall is a fun activity.

Best experience! You can chill and relax on the their Dataran. The best things is you can buy any foods and fast foods near the Dataran Pahlawan and then you can eat on the Dataran with your family members, friends and so on. The Dataran is clean and strategies, because the Dataran actually near the monument A famosa, Hotel and two Malls like Mahkota Parade (MP) and Dataran Pahlawan (DP). Have Fun!

It is the biggest shopping megamall in Malacca. The mall has a gross area of 1.5 million sq ft and a net retail area of 750,000 sq ft, and houses international fashion brands, international and local Food and beverage favourites, entertainment centres, movie cinema and karaoke. It is located just next to the UNESCO world heritage site, A Famosa and other popular tourist attractions. On top of the shopping mall, there is huge lawn which is suitable for gathering and multiple events.

Dataran pahlawan melaka megamall is a megamall in malacca at jalan merdeka bandar hills. The mall has two different sections to it. One of it has a Cinema hall and is connected to Hatten Square and Hatten Hotel. It houses a lot of shops both local and international. Its quite crowded even on weekdays. There are several seats placed around the mall. There is a gigantic water fountain in the mall which people have thrown a lot of coins in. There are also a bunch of massage chairs located around the mall(which of course have to paid for). They have large plastic dividers in between each chair due to the ongoing pandemic. When entering however there are steps to go to the lower floor, which are placed very weirdly and you could fall if you're not careful.

Visited in Feb and March before the lockdown. The Dataran Pahlawan is probably the biggest shopping centre in the immediate vicinity of the city. The shopping centre is big considering how small the city is, but I guess that it’s just as much for the tourists as it is for the locals. Many big name brands have a store here, although the majority are mid to small sized local shops and brands. I come here regularly during my many stays in Melaka and it’s always a good place for food and snacks. There’s a food court on the ground floor, but lots of snack food places dotted around the complex as well. The shopping centre is very quiet during the week, but is much busier during the weekends.

Quite a nice mall. Have a lots of options to buy. Great place to escape from the sun in Melaka after a long walk.. It's linked to a pasar so u can shopping for souvenirs to bring home. Idk if the price is cheaper or not but I don't it that much of a difference.

Vast and pretty soulless mall, with gleaming shops and not much else. Many shuttered storefronts and the main food court is closed for renovations. There is another at the other end of the Mall, but it looked pretty sad and deserted. On the plus side, the AC is cool, and it does have some seats for visitors.

Found this building when sightseeing around hotel where we stayed. Curious to see inside, me and my wife went in. We thought it's a big mall with lots of stores and food court. Only some stores opened, and only a few visitors inside. Perhaps because it's evening and perhaps it'll be crowded in the weekend? We eventually bought something from Mr. DIY store and went home. At least we know there's a big jewelry store in the mall that someday we'll visit again.

A tale of 2 cities. Right side is a dying mall, upper floors almost dead. Only merit is the bridge connection to Hatten Hotel and underpass to nearby malls so you won't get caught in the rain. Left side is vibrant and full of new and interesting shops.

Dataran Pahlawan Megamall in Malacca offers a comprehensive and vibrant shopping experience, making it a standout destination for locals and tourists alike. The mall, strategically located in the heart of the city, boasts a seamless blend of modern retail conveniences and a touch of historical charm. The mall's architecture, inspired by medieval European castles, adds a unique and visually appealing dimension to the shopping experience. As you step inside, you're greeted by a diverse array of shops, ranging from international brands to local boutiques. The shopping options cater to various tastes and preferences, ensuring there's something for everyone. One notable feature is the mall's connection to the historical A Famosa fortress, providing a delightful juxtaposition of the old and the new. The integration of historical elements into the mall's design pays homage to Malacca's rich heritage, creating a shopping environment that is both contemporary and culturally resonant. Dataran Pahlawan Megamall isn't just about shopping; it's a multifaceted destination. The extensive food court and restaurants offer a diverse culinary journey, featuring both local delights and international cuisines. It's an excellent place to refuel and savor the flavors of Malacca. The mall's entertainment options, including a cinema and family-friendly activities, make it a perfect destination for a day out with friends or family. The well-maintained facilities and friendly staff enhance the overall experience, creating a welcoming atmosphere for shoppers and visitors.

Mall needs upgrading work. Fix the aircond if they are faulty. Some areas are too hot to be at. Toilets are dirty. Lack of rubbish bin. Used to be better but the mall situation is bad now.

Need to improve on mall Air Cond. Very hot. Also the valet parking is outrageous. Additional parking fees of rm15 on top TNG charges. Issues is no one overseeing the parking when you park, but appear when you want to drive your car out.

I agreed that DP is known to have branded shops and might be the best place for shopping spree BUT the facilities are not really customer friendly. The toilet are not very clean (gsc area) and most important the prayer room are very small and secluded. They should improve this matter. At least make a bigger prayer room or provide at extra prayer room since the existing is very small.Another thing is, the escalator at the GSC building are not functioning. This matter had been remain the same for over years. Very poor!

Christmas decorations and stage performance by youthful girls and Santa Claus in the shopping mall. Went to A&W restaurant to eat fried chicken, coney dog, waffles topped with ice-cream and drink root blended with float. Great place to beat the hot weather outside the building.

Large shopping mall with 2 building connected via an underground passage. One of the building is modern and bright with branded stores (more expensive wares sold) while the other building is rundown and gloomier with random sellers/stores (cheaper/discounted wares sold). Overall, the mall caters to those who wish to buy branded and expensive goods and also caters to those looking for discounted and affordable goods. Great mall to walk around, shop, dine and kill time. The layout of the mall can be confusing and some shops can be hard to locate in the mall, directory not working on the day I visited.

There's variety of stuffs going on. From traditional merchandise to modern clothing. Close to Mahkota Parade and Hatten Hotel you can even walk to there. There's some part of the mall looks like a deserted town. So many memories I have with this mall every time I went for vacation.

  • 3/5 Hikari P. 1 year ago on Google
Probably the biggest shopping mall in melaka. There are about 3 blocks of building around the area that are under Pahlawan. The shopping mall looks very old which their design and pattern are old at the lowest floor. But their top floor seems to have been renovated and looks more modern at the top floor. Most of the shops they have are the small retail store selling some shoes and clothes that cannot be found in department store. The price of the items are pretty cheap and unique in design.

Parking charges too expensive . Customers come to your premise and spend money . But you don’t appreciate your customers. You still want to bleed your customers . Giant supermarket can give free parking . AEON and Lotus almost free with the T&C . Come on,a good business model will not rely on the parking collection to survive and thrive. Remodel your marketing strategy. Else, like me, I have not visited your Dataran Palawan for almost 7 years . And if necessary, I park outside where the charges is RM0.60 per hour .

It is a historical and modern attraction in Melaka. You can look for historical buildings around there especially Stadhuys, Afamosa and St. Paul Hill as well as having shopping in the mall there. Friendly reminder to those who is driving, the road may be really congested especially during the weekends and holidays and rarely there will be parkings available unless you opt for further places to park.
