Worth the price and the ride. The murals were interesting along the river bank. The boat ride starts normally at 9/10am and the sun really gets hot after 11am so choose to go either early in the morning or late in the afternoon.

Was here to buy tickets at 8pm during school holiday.. luckily a short queue. After the cruise like 9pm, the queue lane was really long. Those who buy online can use other lanes. Don't join the walk in tickets.rm25 for Malaysian adult.

Took this cruise for the second time in April. Brought a friend from UK. I think the transformation of this historical Malaka River is praiseworthy. The tourism authority did a wonderful job. I love what they have done on both river banks. They kept the old homes and warehouses and converted them into fabulous riverside hotels, shops. cafes, eateries and street arts.

Must do activity if you are ever in Melaka. Very reasonable price on the tickets, a very informative cruise and the view during the cruise is really amazing. If its not much, I can say that you will know about the whole Melaka just by taking this less than an hour river cruise. A brilliant idea in providing this cruise by the Melaka state government.

I think the river is cleaner and more beautiful than ever before. The buildings seem like have a fresh coat of paints. No foul smell. Worthwhile spending RM25 per head for a refreshing 45 minutes trip.

Embarking on Melaka's river cruise at night is a truly enchanting experience! Picture this: city lights casting a magical glow on the gentle ripples as you leisurely sail through the historical heart of the city. The cruise feels like a relaxed journey through a fairy tale, offering a fantastic view of the charming cityscape. It's not just a boat ride; it's a night-time adventure with a laid-back vibe, creating a perfect blend of chill and mesmerizing moments. Highly recommended for those seeking an unforgettable evening in Melaka! 🌙🚤

Melaka River Cruise is awesome experience. Positive: jetty with parking lot (free of charge). While on the boat there will be a narrator voice in bilingual about the information of places. Negative: duration on the boat was short.

The river cruise is a great way to view Melaka's tourist attractions. The boats are clean and well maintained. Additionally, the boat captains are also very friendly. Definitely a must if you visit Melaka.

Many places to visit, or just scrolling along the river is good enough. The boats are fun to ride. Recommend to bring with family (remember sop yea) and there are so many bridges. Also the ferris-wheel attraction although I'm not sure if it is working or not, but back in the days it was my paradise.

This is a good trip i would recommend it to all, you will get to know the history of Melaka in a nutshell. The tour will take 35-40 min max. You can purchase tickets from the counter, i dont see that much of a rush in the waiting zone to purchase the ticket online. The most scenic part is the murals on the building you can see from the boat. The counter lady was struggling to charge the ticket amount from my debit card bcoz she didn't know how to place the card for the password, however that was resolved with other agents involvement. You can take a grab from anywhere in Melaka to come here. This is a must take for every traveller in Melaka.

2nd time coming here. very nice & my kids love it so much. i came during raining day.the staff only allow us to go if we "accept" wet condition inside the boat. actually for me the condition is acceptable, u still able to have a sit. the cruise is informative & duration of the cruise is reasonable with the price paid. Informative ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Ambient ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Attraction ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Value for money ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Melaka River Cruise best experience ride at night. The only river between the busy city for generation and now is the famous attraction in Melaka, worth ride. After the ride the nearest place to have a walk was Jonker Street where you can get what you one and it's a Food Street too. God of Mercy Temple which in generation famous old temple, Sincere wish get the best blessing that will come true...

Easy access from parking to the ticketing counter. Not many people in the queue, probably just our luck. Good tour around the Malacca River for about 30mins. Will be good if you can come during the night too. Nice view and interesting. Worth the money and time spent. You may want to buy the tix online if you're sure on the date you're coming. Otherwise, you can just purchase it over the counter.

The boat drive was very good. But there was a person who is there to take photographs. He is a pure arrogant person. He says that we should take photographs. But the ticket does not say anything about that. The customer service can be a lot better. This person himself can ruin these beautiful rides.

Very fast service to get the ticket. Walk-in or online ticketing available. Ticket price for adult is RM25 and for children is RM15. Souvenir with picture of yourselves are sold separately at RM60. Waiting time to get on board was very fast. Took us around 10 minutes. Cruise time was around 45 minutes. Suggest to board it during nighttime for better view.

Extremely long queue- too many ppl (no SOP on social distancing), > 1 hour just to board. Nothing much to see along the river, just murals and lights. Tourist trap. It is however nice and cooling at night. Round trip is about 30 mins.

A nice cruise up and back around Malacca. Cost for non Malaysian was 30rm adults and 25rm children (2-12years). The cruise goes for approximately 40 minutes and if you decide to go I would recommend leaving just before sunset. That way you get to see the sights in the daylight on the way out and then with all the funky lighting on the way back.

I have been on this Melaka river cruise many times almost every years. So sad to see the building art paint getting faded already. Should recover the paint and draw the art again. Otherwise taking the cruise will be a bit boring. Back then the river water is very smelly. But this time the water has improved and no more smelly. 30 minutes ride is fun no matter taking it day or night but please preserve all the building at the riverside as tourist attraction.

It’s a great place to view the scenery at the river during night time with the colourful lighting. You might want to plan your trip earlier by purchasing the ticket online as the queue to purchase the ticket it will take a longer time depending on the festival season. The time that I visited the place it was during the school holiday whereby i have waited for almost 1 hours plus for the ticket and another 1 hour plus to wait for my turn. The river cruise it will take about 45 minutes and you can view the nightlife and also the colourful trees.

Nice 30mins+ boat ride in a calm canal/river. I can see that the maintenance of the murals and painting along the river's edge have not been done during the pandemic. But there are some new buildings with some pretty interesting architecture along the river edge.

A must do if you visit Melaka. Pre recorded voice of a guide explains everything as you cruise by the river. The trip is not a dull one. Did not have a long queue when we visited. Could get on the first boat we saw available. It will be a beautiful 20-30 minute boat ride. It is family friendly and no smoking on board. Before boarding you can buy cold or hot drinks from the vending machines!

Worth to try at least once lah haha.. Kids will love it. Me as an adult love it too. My family and I went to the cruise around 6.50 pm and waited around 10 minutes for the next boat to arrive. Waiting time is okay plus chairs are provided in the waiting area. Explanation are given by the audio recording throughout the trip and it's fun to watch the lights throughout the river light up. recommended to go before 7 or 8 pm since it is not crowded compared to night time. plus can still see the beautiful murals around 7 pm while cruising 👍🏻

Best part of Melaka travel irrespective of the age. You will surely enjoy at Melaka river. You can have river cruise, river walk, cafes and just next to the center of Melaka. To be honest the trip was amazing We are tourists , we came to buy tickets for the trip. The night shift receptionists were very rude with us. When we came back we wanted to buy one way tickets to go to melaka center but she refused to even give me a ticket to go to the nearest stop “though a group of tourists on the cruise wanted to be dropped at the same area and the cruise stopped and dropped them there” She said to me after that go walk by feet After that I came to ask for a taxi’s number on one of the shops advise he said to me ask reception they will definitely give you a taxi’s number When i went there to ask she said No we don’t have go go It was really rude and annoying ! 9:00pm shift on 10/Sep/2023 A HUGE THANK YOU to the people who are working there they were very helpful to us

I consider Melaka and Penang quite similar cities, both are UNESCO World Heritage designated and each containing unique cuisines and ethnic differences and similarities. The Melaka river once played a significant role in the early development of this settlement. From the early Arab, Indian and Chinese influence to the Dutch East India occupation. This cruise is a very relaxing cruise that provides you a brief history of some of the historically important area along the river. A very pleasant 45 mins cruise that is available day or night. The night cruise offers you some beautiful light whereas with the day cruise you get a better glimpse of the areas along the river bank.

Along the river of Melaka there is an amazing atmosphere and by sailing with Melaka River Cruise you see it from another angle and are getting told through a speaker about the different areas and buildings. Though the tour is one way up the river and a low speaking voice to tell and then a turn around to the same way back without possibility of getting off in the opposite end. On the way back they do play nice Malaysian music.

I came with my small family, it's better to come during at night for us to enjoy the colourful lamp at the side of the river along the journey. Yo will conducted earlier during the boat with automated audio explaining the heritage houses and building along your journey. It takes 40 minutes +/- duration for a trip. Parking are free for us who re their customer. Night moment will be peak hour ya. If you want a cheaper price for your ticket, you are encouraged to book online or it's ok for you to walk in but ready to line up. However the q will take time for you to get in front of the counter. It's a valuable and enjoyable moment for those of us who love sight seeing activity

Went on a Sunday 2 days before CNY. Suprisingly not many people. Ticket prices was ok but can be abit pricey for some. Que to board was not long around 5 mins. Got on a boat with partial open roof, ride was breezy. Views on the riverside was ok. There's big lizards and kingfishers too if you could spot them. My 3 and 5 year old enjoyed the cruise, a worthwhile experience for the family.

Overall good experience here. Can only buy ticket on the same day you want to take a ride on the boat, it could be you buy the ticket on morning but you plan to ride on the boat on night. Those with student ID will get discount as well. Recommended to ride on the boat on night, the night view is really amazing! The whole ride took about 30 mins.

    - I think the trip is boring. There’s just a recording that’ll tell what are the history behind the houses, streets and bridges. - Lots of pubs along the river. Around 30 mins. - So, RM95 for 2 students, 2 senior citizens and 1 child. I dont think its worth it. - For experience, sure go ahead. For fun, I think better spend the RM95 for great food at Umbai maybe. Will I come here again? Probably not!

Superb experience exploring the Malacca's river. With audio guidance explaining the exact moment when passing to certain historical places. It took 30-40 minutes slowly cruising the river. A must try for local and foreign tourists.

The best thing when you ride the boat during night, there are many spots that fill up and decorated with lights and led. I came around 8PM and the waiting time was about 30mins before two boats came to fetch us. Probably i think it is better if can come before 8PM.

Waiting area is big and can accommodate the golden age folks. Ticketing also accept debit/credit card. While waiting there is restaurant for you to quest your thirst and grumpy tummy. If you bringing your kids here better to feed them first and waiting queue can take 30-45 mins depending on the crowd. The boat ride is best to go at night as you can see the lights around the river stretch, bistro, restaurants and locals and much more colder compare to daytime. The ride approximately around 30mins go and return. Worth to try.
