This is a hipster version of cendol gais. They freeze the cendol, and then they shave it. They were using plastic cup not a bowl. Kinda another version of cendol. Some people may not like it. So be informed. Aside from cendol, there were many stalls around like Tacos, western, pizza, cikitang and etc. The only counter for drinks have limited choice. This is bad. Really really bad for business. Lotsa dining table, cleanliness is ok lah. Cozy. Might as well dine in at the back of the restaurant, along the riverside. Nice scenery. Will i ever come again? Not sure. Maybe not in the near future lor. Today many stalls were closed. There were 14 stalls, the open one not even half of it. To the owner, please focus on everything under your roof especially on hygiene. It is quite hard to get a parking, this is not the ending that good for your business. Many might like your concept and ignore the rest but no for me and maybe for some others. Your business maybe can sustain, but to bloom and grow, i dont think so. No worries, you can still make money out of it. Good luck. Tqverygud

First time try their cendol. Wow! Very delicious. It's totally different from other cendols that I hv ate before... The ice texture was very smooth. I think the ice was made mix with santan and the texture more like ice cream. Gula melaka taste the original gula melaka. Try the cendol durian and cendol mangga. Both very delicious with the reasonable price. I come during weekdays so not too crowd. Usually it's very pack on weekend.

Good place to have good food, dont go on afternoon as it will be extremely crowded. Didn't get the chance to try the asam pedas tho, the char kuey and chendul is really good for melaka level. The patin tempoyak is really really really spicy(but tasty). Definitely should go for tourist.

Unique cendol where they use frozen coconut milk instead of regular ice. Nice location, beside the Melaka River Cruise. RM6.50 for the normal cendol. Wish was abit cheaper.

Very delicious! Must try!! I love the texture of ice shaving, so soft to eat. With the ice cream on top is perfect! If you are having dinner Makan Avenue, you can order through QR code that was placed on every table or you can order at the counter. After the waiter send the food to your table, you have to directly pay your order to them.

The que was really long but the service was fast. The place was crowded with people if came on public holiday. Car park needed ticket even though you park your car on side of your hotel. The officer patrol every 2 hours. The road have 3 stall, if you're hungry you can buy food there too. There's many view on the side walk, great for evening walk with family.

I love Cendol Kampung Hulu. That's why I came here for the fourth time. Unfortunately I made a bad decision choosing cendol katira this time. The taste was so weird like they're using strong chemical. It tasted bitter as well. Please avoid cendol katira at all costs. Just other cendol from the menu. Maybe the owner should just take out cendol katira from the menu list or do more research before selling it again..

It's not like the old school type of cendol like the one selling 'tepi jalan' or 'bawah pokok'.. these cendols have very fine n smooth shaved ice, velvety kind and topped with ice cream. Very nice combination of coconut milk and gula melaka πŸ˜‹

Super delicious and a must try if you are in Malacca. The super-fine ice shaving, combined with cendol and vanilla ice cream toppings made it practically melt-in-the-mouth!

The cendol is so famous and variety kind of cendol that you can find here. There are 10 types of cendol (refer to the photo). All is nice❀️ I like the Cendol Durian and Cendol Pulut Tapai the most. The taste is so authentic unique yummy with gula Melaka!πŸ‘πŸ˜‹πŸ˜ You may try the foods too there. I tried Asam Pedas Ramen with squid eggs. Those who love hot and spicy noodles are welcome! The foods and cendol are so delicious and tasty with affordable price. No regret! πŸ‘πŸ˜‹πŸ₯° Enjoy the riverside environment while sometimes the river cruise with tourists is passing by.

The spot quite nice, u can have a good meals and enjoying the riverside view. For the cendol, its too sweet for me, im kind more into traditional cendol, however if you like something like ice shaving drink, this is for you.. And there are other stall if you craving for heavy meals such as asam pedas, nasi kukus, ikan bakar, western, rojak etc. If you have plenty of time, u can sidewalk near river and catch some great photo there.

The ice of the Cendol is made of coconut milk shaved ice. Very fragrant! The green jelly cendol is not mixed with colouring, looks natural pandan green. Nice!

Cendol served with shaved ice (think bingsu). Familiar taste with a little twist. We loved it. Food exceeded our expectations, only downside was the cleanliness of the tables and chairs.

The Makan Avenue is a nice place with a good selection of local food to share and eat with your family & friends. For cendol lovers, head to the outside where you can sit and eat a delicious cendol by the Melaka riverside. Clean, friendly service. Also free toilet available here.

Taste very different from Singapore. The ice is made of coconut juice. The Gula Melaka is very good. Red kidney beans are chewy and sweet. Must try in Jonker Street.

This place was famous for their unique cendol. The frozen coconut milk shaved to perfection, served with toppings of your choice. We recommend Tapai, buah kabung and mango. Perfect place for pictures, and relaxed near the river cruise of Malacca. Although this area is a tourist attraction, the price is acceptable. For cyclists if you ever pass by the area, please drop by and you will never regret it.

Took me half am hour - talking to 10 different people - just to get a table number, and you do need it. Unfortunately nobody wanted to tell me where to get it (they lay around at a totaly random place somewhere in/outside - GL searching for it). Unfortunately the nice guy already prepared my food when I ordered it so I didnt leave and had my cold dish. Food is server on 100% plastic (dishes, cutlery, cups and several bowls for side dishers). Atmosphere is okish, but not good. Food is average at least. Prices are far above average. Just don't. 0/10 points forget about this place.

To me, it’s overrated. It doesn’t taste like a real cendol, more like ABC or yes, Bingsu. A little bit expensive. Mine is a normal original cendol cost me RM7.95 (added extra one scoop of red bean *RM1) Forgot to take photos of the menu. Overall all is okay lah. Place: this stall is within a food court. So it has many other food options in other stalls. Waiting time: quick, but long queue Price: expensive Payment method: all accepted

I did my research and we ended up in the best Malay-style cendol place in Malacca! πŸ¨πŸ’›βœ¨Β HEAVEN IN MOUTH! When the staff saw that we were shooting a video, they were so kind that they gave us a second dessert as a gift for free... Thank you! It's so nice that there are no words!!! πŸ™πŸ»

I bought durian cendol for MYR18.50 , very sweet and creamy not like the usual cendol. The location is very strategic, facing Melaka river, very calming.

Wow can already see the long queue while taking the river cruise. Decided to head here after the cruise to see what's the hype about and didn't expect the queue now to be even longer! Waited for about 30 minutes before I ordered and collected the cendol. I have to say this has been so far the best cendol I have tried in Malacca. I could taste the richness of the gula melaka and also I think the most special difference is that they used the coconut flavoured shaved iced so the cendol will still retain the flavours when the ice has melted. It is very quick especially if dining at the outdoor area or doing a takeaway bringing it back for later consumption. Also enjoyed the big red beans and the scoop of ice cream. I think this combination is what makes their cendol really stands out from the rest.

Ordered Cendol Durian- RM 15, Disappointed! it’s totally different from classic cendol. Moreover the cendol texture like ice cream. πŸ’” I gave 1 star for the durian. It’s fresh & lovely!

I'm not a cendol person but I finished this whole bowl. Ordered durian cendol - not durian paste, but 3 durian fresh flesh on top of the shaved ice and cendol base. Insanely satisfying on a hot day!

Really love the cendol.. different from common cendol because they have ice kepal or korean ice ... very sweet as its name , but i asked less sugar .. can lepak2 next to melaka river.

The famous cendol in town. I thought this is going to be another bowl of cendul. Turns out I was wrong. I ordered Manggo Cendul, I've never heard about this sort of mix in a bowl. Definitely worth the walk from where I stayed, and wort to try. Definitely gonna come back here again.

Fast service & quality packaging. Taste wise, fresh durian and fresh ingredients overall. However, quantity wise seems to have dropped since the last time I was here in 2019. It was more generous back then. But, it still one of the best cendol places around Melaka.
