I recently underwent a comprehensive eye health checkup at Nethradhama Super Speciality Eye Hospital—an experience I feel compelled to share with humility and respect. Choosing this hospital stemmed from a recommendation. Despite initial challenges with online booking, the location proved convenient, guided by the accuracy of Google Maps. Upon arrival, a language barrier with the receptionist added a touch of confusion. Yet, the matter was efficiently resolved, and my appointment proceeded smoothly. While the administrative process had its glitches, including a minor address error, the payment via PayTM was seamless. Despite the fees being on the higher side, they seemed justified for a well-established hospital. Choosing Miss Mamata, described as a researcher, for my examination led to a meticulous checkup by the lead optometrist, revealing a subtle decline in my eye health since my last checkup in 2019. This decline is reflected in the updated prescription numbers, provided by a highly experienced ophthalmologist during the previous examination. The journey took an unexpected turn with the introduction of pupil-dilating drops. This process, aimed at temporarily enlarging the pupils, proved uncomfortable, causing blurred vision and heightened light sensitivity. The purpose behind this dilation was to facilitate a more thorough examination of the retina and optic nerve. Before the dilation, the initial process involved the use of an ophthalmoscope. This instrument allows eye care professionals to examine the retina and the interior of the eye, aiding in detecting conditions such as macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and other issues affecting the retina. Despite the disorientation post-dilation, I commend the professionalism of the staff, particularly Miss Mamata, who played a significant role in easing my concerns. However, the positive outcome of the examination did not shed light on my mysterious eye issue, leaving me with an ambiguous outlook on the future. Following the examination, I ordered prescription glasses through Lenskart. However, even after thirteen days, I still find the visual acuity challenging, prompting the need for further testing. The stress associated with adapting to the new prescription and the discomfort of prolonged use of spectacles remains a significant concern in my ongoing experience. Constructive feedback includes the need for additional training in the receptionist department for accurate data entry and enhanced communication in English or Hindi by the nursing staff. A critical point that needs attention is the necessity for clear communication about the potential effects of pupil dilation. During the post-dilation phase, having a family member’s assistance proved crucial, especially as walking became challenging due to the profound impact on vision. While the hospital’s hospitality was appreciable, the overall process felt perplexing at times, indicating potential staff training needs for improved communication and clarity. In conclusion, while I find it challenging to wholeheartedly recommend the hospital based on my personal, albeit nuanced, experience, I extend my best wishes to future visitors. May their journey be smoother and more transparent in their pursuit of eye health.

A very good hospital for eye care. Excellent staff, very responsive, from the moment you step inside, somebody attends to you. The entire staff very good care of u. I have been going to Nethradhama from 2005 and so far I haven't faced a single problem. The treatment for eye problems is of the highest standards and you are in safe hands in Nethradhama. I specially like the latest equipment they have which makes eye testing less strenuous compared to the old testing equipment found in some of the other eye care centres. The doctors are well qualified and explain the procedures very well. On the whole a very dedicated team of doctors and support staff attend to u immediately.

The most pathetic hospital I have ever visited. They don't have time sense. And they treat patients like some donkeys asking to go to room no 1 then 3 then 5 without giving any information. And the machines they use to check patients , they don't sanitize after a patient Is checked. Even after a operation like collecting 38k they don't provide all information like what has to be taken care after operation and how succsfull was operation. And phone appointment is just dummy. They clearly say once u come to hospital then only ur queue number will start. If you don't have any value for time and you want to feel like a slave then just come to this hospital.

My sister underwent RELEX SMILE EXTRA surgery there. Before surgery they behaved so well because they had to do business with us and after surgery when my sister started facing complications and called emergency number they were so rude to her and again their main focus was on charging 500 consultation fee. 1.6 lakhs wasn't enough for them. On top of that when we called them they initially told an incorrect drop to use which made her condition worse and next day another doctor said that drop shouldn't be used! This all is a joke to them. They are very money minded. Do not go to that hospital if you love your eyes. We did a mistake of not doing proper research research and getting the surgery done there. My sister has been crying in pain from one week and there's no relief!

My father had a wonderful experience here while getting operated for cataract. The process from initial diagnosis till the operation is very streamlined. The care provided by the doctors, nurses and support staff is wonderful. Special thanks to Dr. Sheetal Brar, as one of the cataracts was very hard and complicated to be operated on. She did a wonderful job, and Restored vision similar to normal persons 6/6 vision. Highly recommend this place for cataract operations.

Good place, good doctor. In fact I knew the doctor (Dr Harsha)!as he was recommended by another doctor for eye surgery of a family member. The reason for low rating is an ever arguing insurance support person know is utmost pain to listen to. She makes personal comments on attenders (me in this case) & instead of doing her job well she keeps telling others what to do. Worse is her manager who does not care to listen to customers but is only interested in the story shared by her team members. Hospital management please take care of this. The overall experience is what a customer wants, just good doctors won't do.

I had been the this hospital after friends referred but my experience is like i have been cheated. I met Dr. Ganesh who asked for all preliminary test to be conducted at the hospital and confirmed that i will get rid of my glasses for approximately 10 years. I had +1 number on my right eye. First i was suggested to undergo the lasik for 40k then they later told another kind of surgery is more appropriate which will cost 80k then later i was told around 1 lakh. I did not want to compromise with my eyes so agreed as per their suggestion. Six month after surgery i was unable to read the newspaper visited the hospital after 1 year from my surgery date met Dr. Ganesh again he suggested another surgery to correct the problem but also told if second surgery is done there will be a growth in my eye after about a year. Now anyone who reads about my experience tell me what should you believe. The doctor? The expenses Surgery? Getting rid of the glasses?

The SMILE procedure is much more simpler than one assumes, which is all thanks to Dr. Sheetal and her staff. Dr Sheetal who performed the SMILE surgery explained the procedure involved in detail during the prior appointments as well as on the date of the surgery, which inspired a lot of confidence. Her proficiency and patience kept me calm throughout the process. There are series of tests conducted prior to and post surgery to ensure that the eyes are not adversely affected. The staff were also very helpful and thorough in their work. Take it from a person who has been wearing spectacles from the 8 to 27, don’t delay getting your vision fixed.

I got my father's two eyes cataract surgery on April 3rd and April 6th. He got covid on April 15th and was tested negative on May 15th. Because of this couldn't come for post op consultation. In between when called hospital I was told that to come after testing negative. When I visited the hospital after testing negative, I was told only emergency cases are being attended and told to come after lockdown. From 3days my father is getting pain in the eye which was operated. So called the hospital and I was asked to come. After coming, I was asked to pay for consultation as I came after 15days post surgery which was supposed to be free as it's included in the cataract package. Nobody was ready to listen. Finally I paid and got the consultation as I wanted Dr.Savio to look into this as he was the surgeon who did the surgery. Till date I got my in law, my uncle's cataract surgery done here. My mom's is due in next 6months again advised by Dr. Dhwni, Nethradhama hospital. I would rather look at other competitors like prabha since my experience this time is not at all good. One should have complete ownership of the work they do. There has to be exception considering we're in this pandemic. I wrote feedback form also. Don't know if someone reads it.

The hospital is in the heart of the city , very well maintained , very well organized, with ample parking space .From the staff at reception to the staff who guide patients thoroughly make the whole process smooth . ..naturally wen the crowd is more it does take time , it's the same with any hospital . I am a retired employee and got my Right Eye operated in 1st week of August 2022. Very satisfied with over all procedure and hence getting my other eye operated next week. The Medical facilities and capabilities of the medical staff & surgeon are par excellence. The medical staff checks and cross checks all medical conditions. Finally, the Surgeon himself met all the patients and again went into the entire medical history. The cataract counsellors explain every aspect of surgery and never force for costly lenses and procedures. In fact they advised that indian lenses and normal PHACO procedure, which is lowest in price, are sufficient enough for very good post operative eye sight. Some improvement in coordination between the departments will further enhance the customer delight.

Dr Savio is my absolute hero! I did my Lasik Relex Smile Lazer eye surgery with Dr Savio. And when I say it has completely changed my life, I mean it. All the staff are so polite, friendly, helpful and welcoming. And as for Dr Savio, I will never go to any other eye doctor ever again ☺️. Today I went to this hospital for eye examination. I have visit to many hospitals for my severe eye disease. But this is the first time I got a horrible service from this hospital.When I go they take consultancy fee from me.Then my appointment was fixed with Dr. Pradeep of Retinal Department but checked by a lady doctor. After the examination, she sent me directly to the glaucoma department without referring me to a doctor pradeep. Didn't look at my old report and didn't do a proper eye exam and sent it straight to the glaucoma department. When I go to Glaucoma department again they want to take consultancy fee from me. This is the first time I have seen any hospital taking consultancy fee separately two to three times. When I told like this Receptionist lady become angry. Please don't go in this bed hospital.

This review is about the new hospital building. The consultation process is simple and streamlined. The receptionists, staffs, attenders, doctors, all are very friendly and approachable. Even though it is crowded most of the time, there are no cutsies. Wait time is generally 40 -50 mins during peak hours. First floor has pharmacy as well as opticals. Second floor has lab. Consultation charges are nominal(there was no fees for follow ups). I consulted Dr Namitha Anagol who is vastly experienced and friendly. Recovery was 90% in a week's time. The timings are 9am - 9pm MON-SAT & 9am- 1pm on Sundays.

Worst hospital in Jayanager. They charge for everything little thing and made us wait 2 hour even with no patient and then told Doctor went for lunch it will take another 1.5 hour. Their management also getting worse now. No care for customer. For Eye injection they put it without Anesthesia or checking if it was correct. Very painful experience here. They are quick only during payments then they don't care after that. I don't know why people give false good reviews.

I had very great experience at Nethradham hospital . I was diagnosed with very High myopia from my childhood. After all scan reports came Dr. Savio sir analysed all my scan report and he advised me to prefer ICL surgery and very kindly he explained me about the procedure. l got operated on both eyes and now I have a excellent vision in my both eyes. I had a very bad eye infection during the weekend. I visited Nethradhama as it had good reviews. The staff are very courteous, since they suspected I could have an infection they made me sit separately to protect other patients. The hygiene at the hospital was exceptional. Dr Samhitha within no time found a tiny foreign particle in my eye which was causing the infection. The same day by evening my eyes were perfectly fine again.

I recently had LASIK - Relex Smile pro surgery here from Dr Supriya shri ganesh. all things went very smoothly from testing to surgery n post surgery. very good staff and Dr Smile pro surgery took less than 15mins and painless. Vision was very clear next day only, no pain any time post surgery. total cost would be ~1.5lakhs for both eyes including eye testing, surgery and medicines.

I had the opportunity to visit Nethradhama hospital to observe as well as get hands on refractive training under the tutorship of Dr Sri Ganesh and Dr Sheethal Brar. Dr Ganesh and Dr Brar are extremely talented wnd were both very welcoming. All the staff including counsellors and nurses in the operating theatres were extremely helpful and supportive. Both doctors are excellent surgeons and were extremely supportive during our stay. Dr Brar has excellent leadership and bedside manners with patients. The Doctors are phenomenally great , thankful for their expertise, gifted hands and are simply the best in the world. 2 small recommendations for the Administration ,1 - please consider eye masks similar to what airlines offers to close eyes and create darkness for sleep. During our follow up visit after 15 days of surgery, the staff dilated the eyes with few drops and asked to close eyes for 30mins to 1 hr, for senior citizens and younger kids, an eye mask would simply be easy to help them keep their eyes closed. We used a hand kerchief and tied her eyes in our case as a temp solution. 2. There is a machine where you ask the patient to stand (can't sit since the machine is on a high table ), and go close to see blue and green light. It would be best if the manufactured can add a chin rest in front of this camera to help patients come closer and open their eyes in the machine. Add a chin rest. Thank you 😊

Had a very good Doctors Appointment at Nethradhama Eye Hospital. Went for a Gold card appointment with Dr. Preeti. Best part is that they don't insist about going in for Gold Card , you can opt for a normal appointment too. My co ordinator was Ms.Usha and she did a great job of taking me to various departments . It is especially helpful to Senior Citizen and people who don't want to wait for long. My whole appointment was done in 1 hr including my retina check up.Dr. Preeti was very kind and helpful. I got relex smile in the first week of June 2021. The process was really smooth. There were multiple tests done before the procedure to make sure everything was fine. I am extremely happy with the procedure and have had no issues at all. I was able to see clearly from the next day itself and was back to work in 2 days. I have had multiple post op consultations as well(no extra charge) and everything looks good. The procedure was done by Dr. Ganesh. I didn't meet him until I went into the surgery room and didn't interact with him at all. But everything went well and Ididn't have any issue at all. Everything else was handled by other doctors. The only issue with the hospital is the wait time. We need to wait very long to get anything done.

Visited the hospital for eye check up. Dr. Namita was the consultant eye specialist. The way they examined the patient eyes and the approach and the analysis done was excellent. This shows how experienced the eye specialist doctor is. The optometrist also did well in-terms of initial examination of our eye in helping with eye prescription.

I visited Nethradhama for pentacam scan. The place looked organised , registration process and the one who did scanning were cooperative and it was a good experience overall.

OPD consultation for eye checkup is good. The best part is the Suman opticals. Frame+lens is economical here, more economical than lenskart and the opticals in Agarwal eye hospital. Overall this is a very good eye hospital.

I got my SMILE (extra) procedure done recently. Nethradhama is extremely professional and thorough with their service. The pre operative tests, surgery and post operative tests were very well organised. Support staff were excellent and instructions for post operative care were super clear. Although I was quite nervous about the surgery, the doctor and nurses were very understanding and supportive and ensured that I was fine the whole time. I would definitely recommend only Nethradhama!

I have been visiting this hospital for quite some years, I never had a problem. Dr.Savita Arun is really good but the hospital staff don't know how to book the appointments and they need to be trained. Instead of booking the appointment with Dr.Savita Arun, they booked for some other doctor and when she was there in the hospital they mentioned she was not there. I am not happy with this, being working professionals we book appointments when we have off, and if they mess up like this it becomes difficult to connect with the doctor. TRAIN YOUR STAFF.
