Wonderful experience at Mgoza. Spacious room, warm hosts, and delicious food (mango smoothie, passion fruit cheesecake, roast lamb). Highly recommend coming to Cape Maclear and staying here!

Great place, rooms are basic but ideal for being lakeside. Service was good, food was great and we had a fantastic 4 days just enjoying the Lodge and the town.

This place and spot is worth it! Directly at the beach side with a beautiful view to the islands. The food was delicous and our accommodation was good. If you need luxury you go better somewhere else. The pool was to cold to step inside. In the night it can be a little loud, cause there are parties around the area. But you can still sleep. You have to visit Mumbo island in a day trip. It‘s worth it.

Yummy Vegan food! As everyone else has said, amazing location, great food and kind service. Will make vegan burgers and stir fry on request. Really recommend. Even if there is no power just head there - fun to eat by candle light or bring a head torch

Though we didn't stay at Mgoza Lodge we definitely want to book there next time. Great food, nice people, beautiful green garden with shade everywhere, great pool and of course a great view of Lake Malawi

I differently want to come back. This place was so nice, dreamy and the service was so good and friendly. I’ll recommend anyone coming to lake malawi to visit Cape Maclear and stay at Mgoza.

Mgoza is great! The rooms are right on the water. They have a nice pool (although the lake was even warmer than the pool). The restaurant has delicious food for all palates. I was impressed with the vegetarian food options. The breakfast was delicious and filling. Overall a fantastic value place to stay in Cape Maclear.

This is absolutely a place that I recommend highly! The lodge is beautiful and the bungalows are just perfect! They are just at the beach front and they have a great pool with the perfect temperature to cool down. The restaurant is in my opinion the best in town AND really good prices!! Don’t miss it!

Favorite place to stay at Cape Mac! The staff are so welcoming and wonderful. I used to come here in 2016 when I was last in Malawi, and they remembered me after all these years! The accommodations are nice, and the property is well-maintained and so serene. Such a relaxing and fun spot to spend your time in Cape Maclear! Highly recommend!

Mgoza lodge is awesome with friendly staff and Airy rooms. Right in the villiage it is like an oasis of calm and warm smiles. The waterfront views are awesome with shade and tranquility making it an unforgettable experience. Keep it up .

🫤 The common area around the pool is really relaxing and nice. However, the dorms were disappointing. The lockers were broken, the door didnt close, and the worst thing was the mattress. It was around 4 cm thick, completely worn, I literally was sleeping on wood. After talking with the really kind and...

😐 We enjoyed our stay at this great location. Houses are simple but well maintained, pool is great for a refreshment (also because the lake is not recommended because of the risk of Bilharziose). Food was prepared with a lot of attention and delicious. A bit weird the two signs that “no discount are g...
