Driving around on safari and viewing animals from far can be a bit boring. But not here. Fantastic boat safari, silent and calm, where you get very upclose to Majestic elephants, hippos, crocodiles etc. You get great photo shoots from the boat. And you of course need to save enough money to live in the beautiful lodges, rather than the camp.

Hippos and ellies and crocs (oh my!!) The baboons are a riot. No elusive rhinos or lions, but zebras and a lot of lovely avian life.

The drive around the park is fun especially when you get to see different wild animals gazing by the marsh

We had a really good time and got to see some wild animals up close. The food could have been better. But the atmosphere was definitely nice.

Great place. Stayed at Mvuu Lodge for two nights and had a blast.

Had a very nice experience.... Had been to liwonde during rainy season but summer seems best for spotting animals. Some baboons welcomed us at the gate😀

The game viewing rides are made more exciting by the guides. The guides have great information on the different species found in the The vehicles for game viewing are in great condition.

Liwonde National Park is a great game park. Saw a pride of 11 lions during my latest visit in August 2022. Also sighted cheetah and elephants of course.

Had a good time and loved seeing the animals and cool breeze

We were able to see several animals in our two days in the park. However, the signage to get to the park main entrance is severely lacking and the signage within the park is minimal. There are apparently very few visitors here, since there was a downed tree in the road that made it impassable. The roads need to be better monitored and then cleared for blockages such as this. Added almost an hour to detour.

The parks is great and the surrounding opportunities make for an adventure. We ate at safari camp nearby and did the water tour after our land safari.

A day well spent watching lots of animals, unfortunately we failed to see the lion
