One of Mulanje mountains famous waterfall. 60m+ deep and 45minutes away from Likhubula/forestry office. Please get a guide when going there and don't forget to ask your guide to tell you the history of the magical falls.

Beautiful place. Be prepared for a bit of a hike to reach the waterfall. Depending on which day you go, it might be full. Our guide was very informative and helpful.

We took a good hiking from where we left our jeep We had a challenging time to go up, but it was fun and we were able to appreciate the beauty of Mulanje Mountain from different angles.

We visited the falls the day before a hike up Mulanje Mountain in March 2023. The falls are beautiful and there is a swimming hole that was chilly but great to swim in. Our hike up the mountain was with a guide named Comstar and a porter named Brazio Namame who were both excellent.

That 35 minute walk going up the mountain was all worth it to see this breathtaking waterfall

It is simply lovely. The walk is worth it when you finally see the waterfall. The water is fresh from the mountain, clean and cold. πŸ₯Ά there should be regulations on how to dispose of garbage that people generate when they go to the falls. Some bins maybe or anything. Nonetheless, it is a nice place to sit down, relax and enjoy the fresh unpolluted air

Great hike experience except for the tour guider who wanted to change the price he had charged us originally from MK4,000.00 to MK13,000.00!

It's one of the natural wonders well appreciated as far as Mulanje mountain's places of interest are concerned.

Not worth going, at no time do you not get harassed by people, no time to enjoy nature, such a shame

Nice falls, not spectacular. Good walk, about 5 miles total up and down.

The falls was really nice. We could not find so many animals except few baboons on the way. You can have a good shower but please better not to as this water is drunk by the whole community. Please don’t leave your trash or food in the water. Previously, there was another community who lived here. The local people calls them β€œthe old people or the small people”. We could not meet them as they moved to DRC. Sometimes you have to pay 1000 Kwacha per person at the entrance gate but problem is they do not give you any receipt. So can never be sure if you are paying higher or lower or you are paying for no reason! If you want to reach the SAPITWA peak, you should start early in the morning and plan to reach within a day or two days of hike. Depends on your speed and stamina. There are few lodges on the way to the peak where you can rest.

We visited the falls on a regular basis, when young. Such a beautiful and relaxing place. Highly recommend this beautiful place. Rate it highly. Bit puzzled as what river or stream it creates and whete it flows to or into?
