Latitude is a very romantic setting with its blue lights to top it off. It is absolutely gorgeous and has the best service in Lilongwe. We only went for their restaurant and I can say it was a top notch experience. Their servers were kind and easy to communicate to as well as well spoken. Apart from this, their food was actually to die for. I would recommend their Malawian cheese burger. It comes with a thick patty and cheesy goodness. The background music makes it even better as it soothes the soul and automatically relaxes you. Check it out

This used to be my favorite hotel in Lilongwe, but it has gone from great to the worst. The place has a nice ambiance, but the service has severely deteriorated. The problems started at booking, when I received no responses to email inquiries and I kept being told I will be called back when I tried the phone, but they never bothered. So, I booked online through the hotel website for two nights and this was confirmed by email. When I arrived, I was told that they are overbooked and I may only be able to stay for one night, but later I was reassured by two people at reception that I can definitely stay for the two nights. The following morning, I had breakfast and left my keys with reception (still nobody said anything) and went to my work meetings. Suddenly mid-morning I start getting Whatsapp messages from the reception that they made a mistake, and I don't have a room for the second night (that same night!) after all. So, I spent the day distracted from work, stressed and trying to find other last-minute accommodation. I even had to leave my meetings early to go pack up my things and leave, which was quite embarrassing. The receptionist tried to apologize and find me alternate accommodation, but it was just too little too late. No manager to be found the entire time, just one poor staff member who tried to handle the situation but failed. To top it off the food has also gone downhill since my last visit. So now I need a new favorite hotel in Lilongwe as I come here often but likely never be back to this hotel again.

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights over a weekend. The place is beautiful and the attention to detail is really to be admired. Overall we would give a 5 stars for the calming ambience, decorations, cleanliness of the hotel, and taste/quality of the food. Unfortunately, we are giving 3 stars overall for multiple reasons: the bed unfortunately was very uncomfortable (as if sleeping on a box spring only) as well as the L shaped couch/seating area in the room. We preferred the floor over the couch actually, it was so uncomfortable. The service was mixed. Perhaps there was not enough restaurant staff for the amount of guests so at times it was difficult to place orders as the waiters were busy. Also, there were many food items that we ordered that were unavailable (and this would change from one day to the next), the rugs in the hotel room actually were incredibly dirty, and our AC was inconsistent, sometimes working and sometimes not. When we asked, someone was sent to look at it but he didn’t return to fix it. Additionally, the 2 pools were cloudy with lots of debris in them Friday-Sunday. They did clean them the day we checked out, though, Monday. I really wish the best for this hotel so that is why I shared these areas that need to be improved.

Great location for an afternoon lunch meeting. Also had a really lovely dinner. It was a nice touch having the chef come check if we were enjoying our meal which most places don't do. Their wine list is also quite extensive which is always a nice change from the norm.

I’ve had two very nice stays here. The staff are accommodating and friendly, the food is good, and the atmosphere is a welcome break from Malawi’s usual

While the place looks good, dont let the looks fool you. The loft rooms are unsafe as they dont have protective railing. The floor in upper bedroom creaks and bends as if it is about to break. The biggest issue is that the management team is a bunch of cheats! The hotel overcharged me for two nights and then after rounds of back and forth agreed to refund the two nights. I have documented this on email with signed letter by the manager promising refund back to my card. Now it has been two weeks since I checked out with two rounds of email reminders and I still dont have the refund. My advice: Stay away from this place and spend your funds on another hotel.

Four chicken drumsticks for 16000 and the new manager who said took over three weeks ago was far more interested in getting back to his date then acknowledging any issue, I will not be back

The service was exceptional, the staff was very friendly and attentive. The was a bit of a wait between orders but nothing I can hold too strongly against them. Its definitely on the pricey side. Ended spending way more than I planned. That's the only reason I'm not giving 5 stars. I think the prices could definitely go lower.

Overall disappointing and very poor value for money. There are better alternatives in Lilongwe. I had shared below points to hotel, so it cannot be claimed it was not known... Other reviews warning of degradation are completely right and nothing has been done. - Hot water was not working on 2nd night as we were told neighbouring room had turned it off. I have no idea why that setup makes sense - No water on 3rd night, only came back after a while - Kitchen cupboard opening mechanism is broken, I didn't realise immediately it could be opened and had plates - One of the four dining chair is broken... - Hair dryer has a European plug while all power outlets are British. I don't want to fiddle with power plug to make it fit with wet hair - Baby crib was forgotten while I did ask for it in advance Food quality is also problematic, considering restaurant is twice as expensive as similar ones in Lilongwe: - I had an overcooked and dried chambo. Not cooking chambo properly in Malawi is an outrage.. - I received a cold espresso in the morning - Food has tendency to be too salty I understand the challenges with infrastructure in Malawi as well as difficulties with forex, but Latitude is doing very poorly given the price.

The property was dirty and run down. The room is by no means cheap, one of the more expensive properties in Lilongwe per night and was disgusted to see dirty room, broken towels, leaking bath, mould on roof, broken and dirty furniture. Property in general is run down and lacks attention to detail. How a place like this maintains a good rating blows my mind. We would not put up with this quality in South Africa.

Staff very good and helpful. The restaurant was amazing, Latitude Cheese Burger. Price is on the higher hand with ratio value for money

Had a meal at their restaurant and they didn't disappoint. I was so busy enjoying my food I didn't take pictures. They had a kids menu, the dish was so good and tender my child cleared his plate. I had chicken khwasukhwasu which was fresh and yummy, goat stew with rice was delightful as well.

I loved the hotel, it made for a great stay. There was music on Thursday and Friday. The food was good however the menu had limited options. The design and furnishings made for a good ambiance throughout the hotel. I would definitely recommend staying there. It was a bit pricey though.

Relaxing, customer care is 👎 the worst You're not given any attention They don't come to ask what you want to have You have to actually go to them to ask for what you need and that is bad to me I'd rate it zero but the whole place setup and stuff is nice.
