Beautiful location, good scenery, good food. However rooms and bathrooms are small.

Went for a day visit as the accommodation pricing is out of the average Malawian reach. Had drinks on the upper deck bar. View is excellent. Had dinner. Ordered goat meat and rice. The food was nice. Service was excellent. Waitress went out of her way to make sure I enjoyed my meal. The ginger tea was the disappointment. The cook put too much ginger in the tea. Was impressed with the waitress who improvised by giving me hot water to dilute the ginger tea. Otherwise it was a great afternoon and evening

Beautiful rooms and beach area. However their food is very disappointing especially given the hefty prices. I have been here several times and each time, the food quality keeps getting worse. During my last visit, I ordered spaghetti Bolognese and a cocktail, both of which took forever, lacked presentation and were average tasting. They also can't seem to sustain their customer service and they tend to get overwhelmed.

Beautiful property overlooking Lake Malawi. We had a hillside room that was well appointed. The property had a very good restaurant with a buffet breakfast included. They provided a tasty lunch and dinner as well including live music during the lunch. The swimming pool area was nice, but could use some improvements.

Beach side resort with private pool and private beach in a very picturesque area of lake Malawi. Restaurant is decent but don't offer WIFI to non sleeping guests. A one night stay will set you back around 90-100 USD

The hotel has the advantage of being located on Lake Malawi. The room are nice and spacious. The restaurant and bar have a great offering. Big downside though: it was impossible to get wifi from inside the room.

One of the most smartest places I've been to, with a wide range of food. I loved the gym and the instructor, quite friendly and professional. Food is absolutely nice, especially on Thursday when there's local dishes. The views are stunning and the sunrise is impeccable. For a taste of local fish, local fishermen are nearby outside the hotel premises to share with you the amazing malawian Chambo.

This place was absolutely amazing. We pulled up late in the evening. We were showed to our rooms. The beds were amazing and had an excellent experience. The restaurant food was delicious, ordered a T-steak, rich in flavor and juciy best steak I had in Africa so far! They got a small convention gym for a quick workout. The water was amazing as a few buddies and I went swimming. The rooms are on the small side but comfortable. The morning sunrise view is spectacular, we saw about 10 monkeys at the resort, which was awesome. Overall amazing place to check out and to stop by, highly recommend

My visit was already in 2019 for the breakfast buffet. The price was then 20.000mwk which was quite high. Nevertheless, we enjoyed the time.

Visited this place on their busiest day so did not particularly enjoy my experience because it was crowded and the staff was stretched. They had a Christmas lunch buffet and had delicious food inside and outside on the barbecue. The chef and waiters were helpful. I enjoyed the views from the beach area. And I think most of all it was the band that serenaded us as we ate. They were really good. Would love to visit again on an ordinary day and have a true sunbird experience

Beautiful well maintained hotel but the service is slow. The waiters are super slow and inattentive.

A nicely placed lakeside hotel that is a delight to be. It offers a beautiful surrounding that includes huge rock boulders that offer home to Guine pigs that love to live inside the crevices of rocks; it's fun to watch them play through the huge glassy windows of the dinning room. The food is good and this is one place you could taste the best Chambo fish. And of course, there is nature's masterpiece in the vast lake Malawi that forms the major scenario of this place. You can enjoy a wide variety of water sports on the Lake and you can also test your Volleyball skills on the beach. Once there was a Bird Sanctuary on the premises, might be a good idea to check on that if you love birds.

A recent overnight trip, they have made some good effort to upgrade the rooms but feels like they rushed the final touches, bathroom door and windows not closing and the rooms are very stuffy with very little natural ventilation. The beach also needs a clean up, a lot of broken glass and litter which is a hazard and unpleasant. Sadly this feels like a 2 star hotel but charging 5 star prices, a little discouraging for local residents and encourage management to rethink their targeted market

It was a short visit, went there to celebrate my husbands birthday πŸŽ‚. They have very top-notch services, well trained and qualified workers. Their food was very nice ; we arrived just in time and we enjoyed the buffet πŸ˜‹. Very nice and affordable meals were enjoyed sitting along the beach β›±. Drinks were a bit slow to arrive. We had a nice swim too in the lake and later went on a boat ride . We started from a small depth of 2 meters and reached the climax as the depth was increasing to 15 then 40 to 60. The deeper the depths the higher the waves we could feel. We visited Boadzulu Island also known as the Birds Island which is part of Lake Malawi National Park🏝. We were priviliged to see cichlids fish ,so colorful, the fish eagle was stunning and also the the yellow weavers. I have to say it was an unforgettable experience. Everyone would yearn for a return trip or visit.

Great view of the lake. Nice food. Friendly staff. However ants in the rooms can be a problem. Woke up at night only to find ants on my bed. Need for modern bathtubs. Need for water efficient toilets. Some air conditioners not working (Gallery in the conference centre). Challets prices raised unreasonably. Wi-fi painfully slow and inaccessible in some conference facilities.
