I'd say this is the best place I've been to in Zomba, amazing environment amazing hosts. Good food and I loved the coffee. Being a business minded person I tried to sell them my habaneros, lol. They couldn't buy and they were polite in doing so. They're amazing and I'd recommend them to anyone who wants some peace, beauty and tranquility. And the other amazing thing I loved is how eco-friendly their space is. The do reuse and upcycle waste. I found flowers planted in used tins and stuff. They're an amazing bunch. I love them.

The accommodation is great. The owners and staff are very friendly. The food is superb! I have been here for 2 weeks and would love to come back again.

Certainly one of the most beautiful hotels/cafés in Malawi. Exceptional food, comfortable, nicely designed and very clean rooms, very attentive service, impeccable surroudings. Can’t recommend enough for a short or longer stay in Zomba.

I'm so impressed there's such a cosy place to stay in Zomba,Malawi! Firstly the friendly owner couple and family are very attentive and have human touch, yet maintain our comfortable privacy with great sense of distance which makes our stay absolutely comfy. They are very helpful to give us useful information of shops and places to go as well. Secondly the food is all amazing. I liked their yoghurt bowl with various kinds of fresh fruits and granola, homemade jam for breakfast, the loaded hummus for lunch and the chicken espetada skewers, on another day the pasta (photo)was exceptional at dinner. The cafe latte is a great start of the day as well.Their coffee is superb. I bet you can enjoy any dish and drinks by both your eyes and tongues. I'd like to add that the serving staff are so polite with warm smiles. Lastly, the room is spotlessly clean with simple and natural colours and materials and all the interiors and decors everywhere are impressive! Thank you all staff at Kefi!

Went over for breakfast with a friend. I really enjoyed their food and nice customer service. The Café is really aesthetic and a nice quiet place, if you want to read while having your cup of tea or coffee.

Had a really lovely stay at Kefi Hotel! It is family run and can be felt immediately: Costa, Tania, Mitch and their crew are all very accomodating. The rooms are spacious and have everything you need. The food is top notch, best I had in Malawi. The hotel is located slightly up the hill and away from the city itself, which offers a relaxing environment and great views during your meals. Already looking forward to my next stay there :)

Absolutely incredible place. The owners are so kind and accommodating, all of the meals were over the top delicious, and the rooms were beautiful and extremely clean. The hotel is a short drive to Zomba Plateau which is an excellent place for a day trip to walk, relax, hike, explore, etc. Would love to stay here again!!!

What is not to be loved?? Kefi offers everything exceptionally in the southern region of Malawi. The food is consistently delicious each time. The accommodation is exquisite and well decorated. The views are breathtaking. I could go on and on and.....

Place is very beautiful, nice view and good atmosphere. No any complaints about the service. We ordered Greek burger and it came with sweet potato crisps. Crisps were clearly not fresh because they were cold and not that crisp anymore. Burger was smaller than we expected but it was easily the best we have got in whole Malawi. Nothing special about cappuccino, chocolate cake or chocolate milkshake, they were all okey. Rooms were nice and price was very reasonable.

Fabulous cafe situated in an old, restored colonial house, at the foot of Zomba mountain. Beautiful property, with accommodation. The food is excellent. Serving a modern take on some Greek classics. Loved the soup. Excellent chicken and mushroom pie. Greta good. Decent wine list. Great service. Wonderful atmosphere. A delight!

Great stay at Kefi. The hosts were very accommodating and personal. The staff knew my name and we available to help with any issue. The property is pristine and calm. The meals were great. I especially enjoyed the chicken pasta and mulberry milkshake. Included breakfast with hotel stay was generous and delicious. WiFi worked great, bedding was comfortable, rooms were stylish/clean and showers were hot. Highly recommend

When visiting the beautiful Zomba do yourself a favour and stay and eat at the beautiful Kefi Hotel and Cafe. The hotel is an elegantly restored colonial building which has been beautifully decorated with lovely grounds and gardens. The rooms are spacious, clean, elegant and calming spaces. You could spend the day relaxing on your private porch taking in the impressive views of Zomba and surrounds. The food at the cafe is delicious with a great choice for the included breakfast. Lunch and dinner are equally as flavourful as you sit on the balcony and take in the views or sit inside in the calming pleasantly decorated spaces. The owners/hosts are kind and welcoming and the service excellent. One of my favourite places in Malawi.

Great food, great service, gorgeous view, clean bathroom. (Only downside, the food is very European/Greek styled EDIT: the Greek food is astoundingly good, it's just that some visitors might prefer some local cuisine)

This place is great! The rooms are so comfortable, stayed for 2 nights. The mountain views are phenomenal, with great hiking spots. The atmosphere at Kefi is so chill and their service is unmatched. The staff truly cares about your experience. Food is very good, Greek classics with some Malawian twists, and for their prices it’s 100% worth it. Highly recommend!

Attention to detail is fantastic, on every level. Decor, eye for what looks chic, site location, food quality and presentation plus overall vibe. This is very difficult to achieve in Malawi and I have to say that Costa and Tania have truly nailed it with a lot of very hard work. I lived in Malawi for 8 years and know just how tricky it can be to set and maintain high quality standards. You will not be disappointed.

I had a wonderful stay here with my husband. The room was gorgeous, a minimalistic and clean style with everything you need to be comfortable. The hotel overlooked some of the breathtaking views offered by the Zomba plateau. Sunrise and sunset in particular were spectacular. The food was delicious, and I loved every dish I tried. I would absolutely recommend anyone stay here for their trip to Zomba.

Good food, amazing view and very friendly staff! Would recommend this place to have a delicious lunch (their halloumi is amazing) or to do some work while drinking a (ice) coffee.

I have one word to describe the entire Kefi experience: beautiful. The owners, staff, service, cleanliness, atmosphere… everything. I love this place, and would recommend it first to anyone passing through or staying in Zomba.

This place is amazing. Stunning location, beautifully and thoughtfully designed and appointed and with a management team who are both delightful and totally on top of their game. They honestly couldn’t have been more helpful. The food is out of this world. I can’t wait to return.

We had a great weekend in zomba in kefi Hotel. Great food breakfast service coffee and very helpful management and owner. We will definitely come back to kefi hotel again. contra: maybe moskito nets?

We weren't able to eat the food we traveled there for due to a blackout, wished they had backup generator to resolve that. Otherwise great people and a very nice environment

I stayed here for two nights on the recommendation of colleagues. Rooms are new and clean and you are greeted with an amazing view in the morning. The food is excellent as well! Costa and Tania were incredibly responsive and helfpul, both during the booking process and during my stay. I hope to stay again in the future.

I had the most wonderful experience at Kefi. The hotel is very very clean, comfortable beds and amazing staff offering top notch service. The hotel owner was very accomodating and was able to meet all my dietary needs. Kudos to the chef..best meals ever!! Best location!! I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Zomba or a get away if you are in Malawi.

First of all: mind the time! You'll be sent away if you're late. Make sure you plan your arrival for well before the respective closing time for the day. The historic house has been transformed into a cosy and beautiful place to relax at. The views are amazing. The food is great. Their dessert and snack selection is awesome. The seating space is plenty adequate, with various options to choose from. The parking space is adequate. The place could be more accessible. The staff are polite and very friendly. The service is quick as well.
