A beautiful place in Diest where the Beguines used to live. Beautiful houses that are still inhabited. Highly recommended to visit if you are in Diest.

Small Beguinage, but no less cozy

Beautiful example of a colony unique to Belgium, whereby unmarried women and widows could live under the protection of the Church, without being nuns. They could go out and work. Now the begijnhofs are quite arty and trendy places to live.

Former nunery convent. Now just tourist attraction. There is nicer ones to see in belgium

Beautiful heritage site. Too bad the Gasthof is still vacant.
