Fulidhoo Island

Tourist attraction

👍👍 What a beautiful place to visit! It is like paradise here and compared to this island, maafushi (where we were before) just feels like a bad dream in the maledives. If you come to the maledives, definitely consider visiting Fulidhoo! The beaches are amazing, the people super welcoming and the reefs... People often mention island, beaches, experience,

Wonderful small inhabited island with very friendly people. Currently not too many tourist on the island, but unfortunately there are a lot of guest housing/hotels being build, which will for sure influence the nice atmosphere.

Great experience seeing the sting-ray fish and the nurse sharks very close to your feet. But stepping on them or being very fidigity will disturb them and may result in shark bite or being stung by the sting-ray fish.

We had a great stay here. Clear beaches, friendly people and fun snorkling options (ask at your guesthouse). The island is/was (at the time of writing this post) under some renovations. They are bringing more sand and one of bikini beaches was closed because of it.

If you want to get nurse shark & string ray experience this is the best island to visit and get the experience. It’s very small island and with few guest houses. Island people are very friendly. It takes 1 hours by speed boat to this island from male city.

Absolutely stunning island for photos. You need to Follow the local rules about dress code. You can feed the stingray which are pretty big and you can touch it

Came for the stingrays and definitely didn't disappoint. Beautiful big rays in crystal blue waters that swam around us.

•Local island •When you see pictures of The Maldives beaches, this is what you get •30km from Maafushi •Part of the day trips where you see stingrays, bait balls, and some times reef sharks (I saw 4) •Stayed 2 nights •Bring mosquito spray as the first day they were incessant

The island is an amazing place. It very quiet and people here is very nice. There's a dew shops and restaurants so you can buy what you need. The reef 50-100 m north of the island is obe of the most beautiful I've ever seen anywhere in the world.

Fulhidhoo island is a beautiful very small island maybe just 1 km in length and 200 meters in width approximately...but is very peaceful and calm island...you can already see the end of the island from one side to another. To reach here you can get a speedboat which will cost around 40 dollars per person and takes approximately 1 hour from Male Jetty... There are 3-4 local shops here selling all the general items as well as fruits and souvenirs.. one or two shops accept even Debit/credit cards .. It's a bit difficult for vegetarians but you get Cornflakes and fruits here...and a few more vegetarian items... Two ends of the beach are bikini beaches..rest all is restricted to swim in bikini...

I spent 2 wonderful weeks here and would come back anytime. You can completely relax and also experience many things. The residents are great and nice! You feel very comfortable at all times.

Previously LOVED Fulidhoo, it was a brilliant way of doing the Maldives on more of a budget and meeting real Maldivians. However, the construction on the island at the moment is ruining the visitor experience - 3 large scale construction projects -sewage/water treatment plant going in as well as erosion reinforcement walls on both ends of the island. We just constantly heard diggers and construction noise. Also the trash situation is totally out of hand, the beaches were covered in plastic bottles and waste from both the island and coming from the sea - this all led to a poor visitor experience which I was very sad about. I’d really like to encourage those running the island to clean it up, just because construction has to happen doesn’t mean it can be a tip.

Beautiful small Island. Can be covered barefooted in 15-20 minutes. Water here is simply clear and amazing... People are nice. Very less crowded. Stingrays and sharks can be seen easily on the shore near the jetty Bridge everyday. Few sharks arrive every night for sleeping under the jetty bridge. Everything was good except the constitution that has been going 24*7. It wasn't a great deal for me because i had very limited noise to hear at my hotel or the bikini beach, but once the constitution is over i hope it gets peace.
