A stressful situation. The hotel management did not reply to any of my messages. We arrived at 10:30 pm in the airport where the Immigration officers decided to decline entry to everyone transiting. It took us 2 hours to manage to leave the airport. I emailed and called the hotel to advise about the situation, they never responded, didn't pick up the phone. The check in time was 11pm. We took a cab at 1am went to the hotel, since no one was there we took a room. We left at 9:30 am, still there was no one there, and no follow up on us, not even a month later. The room was acceptable, although with no proper windows for day light. Kitchen was pretty dirty. I would not return.

🤮The WORST accommodation in my entire life🤮 1. Pickup service didn’t show at the airport exit till I called them. 2. The room itself sucked too. Too much mold and rusty facilities of furnitures and bathroom. Even linens and towels smelled bad. Ants were every around the corners and they didn’t close the window so that we should catch several mosquitos. 3. Shower was broken. Only a little water came out and everytime i use it, it sounded really creepy. 4. There is literally NO STAFF in the house. You couldn’t communicate with anyone with this situations 5. I already paid for pick-up and drop-off service which was double priced compared to a taxi. And THEY DIDN’T SHOW UP in the morning!!! Can you imagine? No one answered the phone and i had to struggle to find a taxi without internet. TRUST NO ONE HERE IN THIS ACCOMMODATION. It’s not just a rip-off. It is SCAM itself.

I would not recommend this place to anyone. We could hardly find this accommodation. We told the owner that we would take the room for about 6 hours because we wanted to rest before the flight. We left our suitcases in the living room outside the room. No payment was mentioned, we went to rest. After 2 hours, we woke up from our deepest sleep to the owner banging on the door. He asked us to pay... At the time of our check out, the owner was gone... we had simply left the key on the open front door of the property. The bed linen is clean, the bathroom ceiling is a bit mouldy. The air conditioning stopped after about 3 hours of use and could not be restarted.

Don’t bring second thought to take decision. The place is as superb as you can imagine looking at the pictures and the owner and his family are just fantabulous I have never seen such hospitality in my earlier tours to other places. For family purpose or kids purpose Kitchen is very well setup with all amenities needed that you dont need to carry anything with you. It’s hygienic place in good locality, beach at walking distance, bus stand is very near on the same street. Taxi hiring is also not a problem at all. We also faced problem at airport during PCR Test and owner Irufan and his wife helped us immensely. Really commendable help they did as we were leaving Maldives and left the house too. Because of the low season and the unpredictable weather we decided to stay at Hulu Male and move out everyday for excursions. The hotel and the rooms are quite basic but very clean (we don't stay much in the hotel room so happy to be as such). There is a small kitchen if you intend to cook for yourself. We only used it to brew our special Neapolitan coffee. But the service by Irufan is fantastic. Personal pick up from the airport, undivided attention and vital suggestions on phone SIM card, excursions, directions for commuting to and from Male as well as Villingili. Irufan has made our 8 nights stay a pure pleasure. The hotel is located at walking distance from the bus stop for Male as well as Male Airport. Also it is just across the road where one can find restaurants, groceries, pharmacy etc.

If you are looking for class, hygiene and a good location, this is the place for you!

Came for just one night, but because of their hospitality I extended four more nights. Staffs so friendly specially the manager. He personally helped me in a lot of things. Didn't felt like a guest house, lived there like if it was home, yeah I felt home.

We stayed for a night till our booking started and we wished we could stay here more. The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly. Specially Kamal was very pleasent, helpful and welcoming. Location is also quiet convinient. It's good value for money.

If you are transiting in Male, and need somewhere to stay - I would recommend no other place than the 🦈🐠Reef House Maldives🐠🦈 in Hulhumale. Irufan is the most amiable, friendly, and hospitable host I've met in a long time. You can book an airport transfer with him for USD13. He has a car big enough for 4 people and baggage, or one person with a bicycle box (as I had). The guest house is situated in Hulhumale which is more peaceful and calm than Male (bustling city) with a beachfront in the east. The rooms were clean, complete of necessary amenities, and pre air conditioned (!? So nice). Irufan helped me book a snorkelling adventure the next day late at night (ask him for activity options, he knows good tour operators) which was affordable and super fun. He also allowed me to keep my bag in the lobby while I went snorkelling. The beach is a 3 minute walk - so it doesn't matter that this hotel doesn't have a good view. The Wifi is impeccable. Place and location is good to roam around nearby places without any vehicle and Central park just opposite to the road is wonderful place to be in the area. Beach is also very nearby to opposite side of park and you're in between both.

The owner of this place is a good man. His behaviour is good and also very helpful.
