Its construction dates back to 1681, when the lords of the old almadrava decided to build a chapel. The first stone was laid by a Jesuit, Francisco de Poch, and after several centuries the hermitage is still in perfect condition. Its architecture is very simple, since it has a rectangular surface, with a portal and a small belfry. In front of its façade there is a red tile pavement and an attached stone bench ideal for resting in the shade.
