Last minute booking for a week away . Didn't expect too much for a 2 star hotel , but we enjoyed our stay very much . Rooms & facilities were basic , but always clean & tidy . Breakfast was varied & plentiful . Staff were friendly & courteous . Nice space on the roof for sunbathing or relaxing . Pool was OK for a cooling off dip , but usually too busy to do much swimming . Close to the beach , train station & local amenities. Would have been nice to have had a small fridge in the room & not have to pay extra for a safety deposit key . However , overall very pleasant stay .

Just come back from a week long holiday with my friend and although we had a fantastic time (after all it's the company that makes a holiday) we were disappointed. We have both been on holidays this year for the same money and the quality was vastly different. We felt that the cost didn't match up to what we received. Pros Great location on the edge of a busy, vibrant town with plenty of bars and eating places. We felt completely safe regardless of what time we were walking around. Fantastic beach only a ten minute walk away. The roof terrace was chilled and regardless of what time of the day we went there, there was always loungers available. Most of the staff were pleasant and helpful and spoke English. The rooms were cleaned daily with fresh towels if needed. The pool was a welcome relief too. Cons The room was very dated and noisy. The beds creaked so every time one of us moved the noise woke the other up. The door to the bathroom creaked and groaned. You could hear your neighbours talking in the bathroom as the walls were so thin and the constant banging of doors. The food was tasty but lacked vegetarian and vegan options. Water had to be paid for at lunch and dinner. Was surprised that there was no fridge or kettle in the room. Overall it was a great holiday, but unfortunately we felt that the hotel wasn't value for money compared to other hotels we have stayed in.

Food okey but boring and no drinks allowed. The drinks are expensive, which we had to buy to eat. despite half board already very disappointing. Room terrible, dirty and outdated. Everything must be paid extra and the view to puke. Staff can hardly speak English. No information unless you ask for everything 100 times. Staff 50% nice 50% like guards in a prison. Walk to the beach 15 minutes. We felt ripped off, safe and fridge cost extra and not a little. The pool is a disaster. All in all the worst hotel I have ever visited. Never again! Fortunately, Pineda itself is very beautiful but also very boring. We have fortunately always gone back to callela. We will not recommend this hotel to anyone and never stay here again. We hope the hotel management will take the constant bad criticism to heart.

Loved this small friendly, family run hotel. Lovely roof terrace with a pool. In a quiet location. Room was ample space for my mother and l and we enjoyed our breakfast and dinners during our 5 night stay. Staff very helpful, if we struggle asking for something in Spanish they would find a staff member with a better grasp of English. Although Google translate helped. Lovely church next door that chimes every 15 minutes, but you get used to this. 10 minute walk to the beach and train station.

Good value for money. Room was good, housekeeping done it's job. 10 minutes walk from seaside. Breakfast was decent, but it was nearly the same selection every morning, so after 3 nights it was getting complicated to get yourself to eat. Also lack of vegetables and very limited selection of fruits. Other than that, everything else was satisfactory.

Please REFUND MY MONEY! You told me to contact booking for refund, I did it but you refuse booking to process it. Shame of you!!!

Nice small hotel situated on 10 minute walk from the beach. Buffet is small but sufficient. Has a bar on the ground floor and at the solarium. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Cleaning ladies do a great job cleaning and will great you in the hallway. Even entertainment in the off season.

Pictures doesn’t match with reality! We didn’t even stayed in there. We booked 2 separate rooms and both of them wasn’t clean properly. Hair in bathroom, dirty walls, bedsheets, towels. AC didn’t work properly. Their private parking is 10 minutes away by foot and doesn’t look safe, just a piece of land surrounded by thin gate. We came to the reception pointing to the issues and asking for a refund. Staff even didn’t apologise or tried to change the room, so we left immediately.

Had a pleasant vacation, hotel is nice. Service is super friendly, the rooms are renovated and I believe the management is still renovating. Long description: It's mostly wheelchair- friendly (a view rooms are far away with stairs in between but the rest of the rooms and the hotel is accessable). If you expect the blue of the sky you may be disappointed, but for this price it's really good. Food is ok, changes every day but no indikator of what contains meat or fish. The pool and the terrace are phenomenal. I mean you see signs of age but they make it pretty. Enough area to lay and get tanned, but also enough shade for children or people w/ sensitive skin. Pineda the Mar won't get a price for most beautiful city but it's lovely and the people are nice. The beach is peaceful. Some seating areas are pre installed and free. Beach is mostly clean (as clean as it can get with that much rubbish in our oceans)

Rubbish beds that were broken and dangerous to sleep on, the hotel was not that clean with horrible room service. Their food was extremely grim with only pork meat options. I would STRONGLY advise anyone not to come here!

rooms are of good standard and clean i wasnt expecting much as this was extremely cheap but i was pleasantly surprised. the staff were very helpful and the food was very good always something there and of good quality. not too far from the beach 10min walk and local area was nice to explore. overall i would definitely stay here again.

fantastic hotel, low priced, excellent food at breakfast, the evening buffet was ridiculously well priced for the quality of food served, rooms are very clean, maids clean the rooms in the day whist we were out exploring, nice pool on the roof with a bar , downstairs bar for those looking for a quiet drink. we will be back with our mother in law next time as she will love this atmosphere 😄

This is THE best hotel we have ever stayed in.Rooms got cleaned every day with fresh towels,breakfast was great and although we weren't half board we did eat i the hotel for 3 nights.

It was such an amazing stay.. Reading some reviews we were sceptical but we were so surprised for a 3 star hotel and we couldn’t expect any more. Staff is lovely, rooms are cleaned everyday, Girl that was cleaning our room is lovely she even organised our child’s toys and folded our clothes to which service we were more than surprised. She done a super job!!! We stayed in room 411 All staff speak English apart 1 guy at night time reception which didn’t bother us at all because if you have any questions you can ask in the morning. Anything we wanted we got. I cannot recommend this place more. Right in the centre, price is amazing, staff is amazing, food is 8/10. We felt like we got more than we paid for. We would love to come back as memories created there were amazing. Don’t be fooled by other comments unless you are super picky.

Great hotel in great location close to the beach and centre of pineda de mar. Near train station gets you to other stations and Barcelona. Lovely food and service. Pool at the roof smashed it, worth to be before 10am to get sunbeds as always busy. Pub level below with more sunbeds.

Lovely hotel - clean, comfortable and felt very welcome. The pool was great, views phenomenonal. The breakfast was really good and there were so many options every morning. The beach is only a 10 minute walk and around the area are lots of restrauants and shops too. Would 100% stay here again! Thank you for an amazing stay.

Room was ok. Located next to a church that chimes every 15 minutes up until midnight, which can be a bit frustrating, especially if you do want to sleep. Our room had water damage to the ceiling, which was very appealing on first glance. Service was ok we didn't really ask or want for much. If coming on holiday with tui on half board don't expect drinks at dinner as you have to pay for these and no all inclusive option. Hotel is located in a small town of pineda de Mar. 10 minute walk to beach some local shops and restaurants but not much else to do. Holiday for those who don't really want to do much and be isolated. Swimming pool also smaller than appears.

It's fine. Arrived late and receptionist was friendly even though she didn't speak English. We only spent one night so it fitted its purpose. Breakfast was good. No free and no private parking though. We were told to park on other road were it was free but no parking spaces anywhere. Good value for money.

Pineda was beautiful the hotel was wonderful every thing about it was special.

Friendly staff, basic but decent rooms, clean pool, good WiFi and air conditioning, beautiful views from the rooftop pool, good location.

Really enjoyed our stay not touristy lovely filling breakfast room very clean but bathroom dated, nice area on roof with good service all sunbeds need replacing.

This is a budget option... room was small and bed not comfortable, shower head holder didn't work. Breakfast was good! Dinner was very hit and miss. The 'veggie' options we were pointed to were often aubergine/mushroom stuffed with seafood 😬 Location is actually very good, 10 min walk from train station, which takes you to Barcelona, Girona, Blanes and along the coast. The receptionists were very helpful 😊

It is a very good hotel. Ofcourse there is place for more. What i mean with it is for example. Cleaner rooms and more vegan thins in the eating room but the service is the best.

Nice, inexpensive hotel. I had a single room. There was no cleaning in 5 days as the employee only came by early in the morning. Breakfast was actually cleared at 10am sharp, which I found very unusual, at least for a Sunday. Dinner buffet was somewhat uncharitable, we have then waived after 2 days. Wifi only with payment. Staff at the reception were very friendly.

My partner and I have just returned from a thoroughly relaxing week at the Hotel Merce. Having stayed in some fabulous hotels all over the world, I would say the experience matches those of 4+5* rating. The staff are so friendly and nothing is a problem. We had a fantastic room (227) overlooking the church. The food was superb with something for everyone. Lovely relaxed and chilled out area of Pineda de Mar. Overall five stars from us and we will be returning!

They do not let the locals sleep. The live music is garbage.

Very basic, room was tiny. Breakfast was OK. But, staff were lovely.

Where to start ? The rooms are small and the bathrooms have 0 ventilation. The rooms are tidied but not cleaned everyday - the sheets and towels aren’t changed everyday either even after mentioning it to reception. The food in the buffet is horrible and lacks variety- some meals times have no vegetables whatsoever. The juice in the vending machine at breakfast tastes artificial . Thé wifi only works when you’re on the ground floor and you have to get a password from reception everyday to be reconnected (in 2021??!) If you want to use the safe in your room, you’ve got to pay extra per day The rooftop pool is ok and has a good view of the town including the mountains All this to say, don’t waste your money here.

Stuff are really nice and helpful. They helped us with everything we asked. Food was great and vert variable. Rooms were perfect.
