Lovely place to visit with good cafes, bars and restaurants in the area. Some fantastic sea views too. Be mindful of the hills, particularly if travelling with kids as they may find it tough. Buggies should be left at home if possible too.

The walls of the old medieval town. It is worth visiting and it is a good way to make a tour of the village itself while having a nice view of the sea. You can walk most of the existing portions of the wall. The town itself is very preety with the narrow stone streets and the old houses. At the highest point you can enjoy snacks and drinks at a cafe and also a small museum in the lighthouse. At some point you can even find a statue of Ava Gardner with its story.

Unlike French or German historic site where exorbitant entry fee has to be paid, this place is free to visit. Beautiful place for a family excursion.

Beautiful, historical place. Do go all the way up and throughout the castle and enjoy the beautiful village and the views.

Not at all like a museum but a small community with bars, restaurants, shops and residential accommodation. Great location with a lot's of history, good views out to sea and out over the town. It has a small museum opening in the week, with a small entry fee. You can walk round on top of the fortified wall. There's a small land train that runs from the town to the light house and restaurant, at the top of the fortified village.

A nice fortress by the sea, with a small town inside. Lots of beautiful views to enjoy.

Worth the trip to the top. Amazing view. A must visit while in Tossa. We have visited 2 times and plan to visit again . This historical untouched beauty make us want to visit again.

Amazing views! The whole place is in a good shape. We went there during the night for a walk and this was great decision. Definitely recommend that.

Very nice historic place with amazing views. Cozy little streets and many small restaurants in the old town area within the castle walls.

What a gorgeous place to get lost in in Tossa de Mar. As other comments say, the castle is extremely magical and very beautiful in its design and layout. The cobbled stone pathways give it an authentic Old-time feel, like you've been transported back in time to an age of horse-drawn carts and community living. There is a restaurant in the castle so you can enjoy the gorgeous panoramic views overlooking the sea, the beach and the town, which become even more splendid as the sun sets. Probably great for an evening with a loved one.

Great views and fairly easy hike. Took us about an hour to leisurely walk up and down the site.

Amazing views, and great beach in Tossa. There is a kind of train that lift you up until the top of the wall. Many restaurants and bars around the main beach. Highly recommended!
