Beautiful Castel in a hill, the treck to get there is easy but really nice and with stunning views ! Careful with the times to visit the Castle, on Google maps it was written until 5pm and it's actually 4pm, but it's with the guided tour.

Excellent visit to enjoy a medival castle and the natural park! The parking has sufficient space for many cars and it is located just about 3Km away from the castle. There are two ways up: the shorter one that is a bit more steep (15min to the castle) or the longer one that is a nice stroll on a wide path (aprox 30min walk), perfect for a family day excursion. Once you arrive at the castle there is a cabin where you will find a guide. The price to get a guide is so minimal compared to the price to see the castle without one, that it was a no brainer for me. The visit takes well over an hour and you can stay as long as you want afterwards to see again all the areas. I would recommend to check the castle's website beforehand to see availability and to request a guide in another language if you need it (as most visits are done in Catalan). As a plus, the same entrance to the castle gives you free access to the museum 'La Gabella' in Arbucies (the town next door) where many objects encountered during the excavation of the castle are currently displayed. Well worth the visit to both places: castle and museum; really enjoyable to see and learn.

Beautiful hike to the top from the free parking lot. €6 adults, pay in the gift shop at the castle entrance. Fantastic efforts in repairing and restoring the beautiful castle!!! Amazing views, wonderful history, excellent self-guided tour. Will do it again when we have visitors!!

We couldn't get in as it was closed but the sorrounding is quite spectacular, well preserved, also the view is so wide. Very nice walk from the parking lot, the forest is cute.

While the castle with the exposed place at the hill gives you a marvellous vista around, the visit and check for opening times might be quite adventerous. There are different information from the website and the on-site information about opening times; unfortunately it was closed when we arrived there. But due to the reforms currently undertaken I suppose that major parts would be closed anyway.

Excellent views, a walk to the top from the car park took around 30 minutes, and was steep. Castle was closed but looks like to will be good to visit. Definately worth and trip.

This seemingly unknown historic landmark was quite a mixed bag for me. The hike up to the top (visitors are prohibited from driving their vehicles to the castle entrance) was enjoyable... honestly, only on the way down. When we got to the castle we found out that the whole place is still running in a sort of "Beta" mode, to the point that there were actual archeologists still at the site, busy restoring a part of the structure, not to mention the giant crane perched right in the middle of the courtyard. The biggest issue I had with the place is the price of the tickets; while the ticket includes both the castle and access to a museum in a nearby town it really doesn't seem worth the money! At this stage, I wouldn't recommend visiting the landmark as I believe that most will find it to be a waste of their time in its current state. Hopefully, they'll improve and eventually get out of "Beta" but considering the place has been operating like this since 2015 I find that unlikely!

We loved visiting this place with our guide! It’s a not so well known Gothic gem. Our guide was extremely passionate and engaging. I learned a lot and enjoyed it thoroughly. Visits are in Spanish and Catalan only.

Amazing with spectacular views and nice hike from the parking. It's real fortress, no wonder why 1200 men can't force into it after claiming that hill

Historical site of Middle Age in Catalonia. The venue is over a high hill with spectacular overview on the surrounding land, including to seeing the Sea. It's a Castle with very interesting history about alliance and traitors, peace and war. Highly recommended when in Catalonia.
