Small but excellent fishing museum featuring amongst others miniature boats and fishing nets explaining different fishing techniques. Explanations in English for most artifacts, and an introductory 8 minute movie

Well worth the visit. Almost everything is translated in four languages which is good. It starts with a short film about the meaning of the fishermen’s’ life traditionally. There are several traditional tools etc. On display including of course one great fully intact sail fishing boat. I particularly liked the black and white photos of the fishing villages and people.

Very nice museum! The introductory cinema was a great start and the miniatures displays of various types of fishing methods were super interesting. Would highly recommend to visit this museum as I understand it is the only one of its kind in the mediterranean.

Wow ... I am not a museum person typically, but I thoroughly enjoyed this. Very authentically displayed fishing gear from times past, amazing three dimensional displays showing how different types of fishing nets were deployed. It really helped you understand the trade and methods. Reading my own review I still might not go, but don't let my inability to express this place keep you away! The only improvement would be if all signs had English instead of the 60% or so that did. Whoever designed this ... well done!

Kids loved it (7&10y) and we did, too. Not too big and done with love. Some fun facts and certainly some impressions that will create valuable discussions. Go there in the afternoon to combine with a visit to the nearby fish market.

Well put together museum. On arrival we found out that entry was free as we were visiting on the first Sunday of the month. Lots of information boards and the video played on entry was also available in english. Very interesting to see a glimpse into the fishing history. As we went late in the day we ran out of time to see and read it all, definitely worth going back in the morning to finish seeing it all.

The receptionist was very helpful and had good english.It was of added interest to us as we are a fishing family from Ireland.

I highly recommend visiting the museum! It is truly one of a kind and you can clearly see that it's made with love. The exposition is interesting for anyone, no matter the age or knowledge about fishing. Really makes you feel the atmosphere and makes you think. One of the best museums I've been to honestly.

Excellent museum on Catalonia's fishing heritage! We were fortunate enough to visit on the first Sunday afternoon in June when admission was free. However, it would have been well worth the usual €5 entry anyway. The museum starts with an 8 minute video providing an introduction to fishing (you can ask the staff to set it to Catalan, Spanish, French or fortunately for us, English - possibly also to German). There are then various galleries on fish, the fishing communities and fishing methods. Main display boards are in Catalan, Spanish, French and English. Individual objects labelled in either Catalan or Spanish (not sure which one!!!). Excellent displays with a wide variety of interesting objects including some models showing the various fishing techniques and a full sized Catalan fishing boat from the 1920s. Highly recommend.

Some of the explanation are in english most in Catalan or Spanish. Very interesting not enough hands on for the kids but lots to see.
