What an incredible idea. Please do not rush through! Take your time to walk around the small streets and see all the pretty architecture. There is so much to explore and in every corner there is something new. Give yourself a lot of time to see local craftsman shops, they are amazing. And do try to have some food. It is really beautiful place to visit.

Poble Espanyol is the only place in Barcelona that we found disappointing. Some positives were that the place is nice and well maintained, the concept is wonderful, and the representation of various parts of Spain is done aesthetically. The staff was courteous. We visited an Italian restaurant where the food was average, but the service was quick, and the staff was friendly. But we couldn't find local artisans at work (one of the experiences promised as a part of the visit). The workshops were there, but no one seemed to be at work ready to showcase their creations. Most of the restaurants were closed, leaving very few options, and the place had a general deserted feel. We saw ' Fiesta' - a 10-minute program about the festivals of Spain. It was average. We also visited Fran Daurel art museum, which was a bit of a disappointment. Not worth spending 56 Euros for a family of 4 for this experience.

A beautiful, well maintained place to visit with so much to explore. Take your time to walk through the whole village and see a representation of the different regions of Spain. I loved how architecture styles are represented and merged here. There are several small shops to visit and great restaurants to try. The staff was friendly and attentive. Overall, it was a great experience. A must-see in Barcelona! I hope to come back soon.

It's a good place to get an idea and some knowledge on Spanish culture and architecture. Especially vital in the case that you don't have the opportunity to travel through the whole country. Because the village has different areas and aspects that will give you the feel of different parts of Spain. But in case you get to travel and explore Spain, it's not necessarily to visit. Just for reference, the prices online are cheaper and if you can present a valid student card from any country, you can get a special price for the ticket.

You feel as if the time has stopped here… very quiet and very pretty. Really worth visiting! There are some special places with projectors which display characteristic features of different regions of Spain, for example the north. You can take some lovely pictures and just sit and rekax, especially that it’s all in the open air. I do recommend it👍

(Translated by Google) Few people know, few know this place, the subject of a cinematographic scenography: a desert oasis in January, a place of meditation on past life, but also space-time, to be dedicated to nascent thoughts about the new tomorrow, on a human scale. We were really disappointed with Poble Espanyol. Middle of July in the afternoon and the place felt deserted. The different styles of buildings were interesting but there were lots of places shut. We stopped off at a Cafe, not far from the umbrella street, for a late lunch only to be told they only had paella, pasta and pizza, this was after we gave our order. If Poble Espanyol observes traditional siesta, why open to tourists during this time as it does not give a good impression. Two stars for the umbrella street.

I loved what the village offered. You need time to check it in detail so don't give up too fast. The galleries were very interesting, don't skip the Lord of the Rings exhibition if you are a fan. What I did not like is that even though it says last entry could be 20h, almost everything inside closed before 19h, including the little rooms representing each area of Spain. So in regards to that I recommend you go way before 19h.

The most amazing place of the whole city in my opinion! Amazing stores! Adorable staff! Great experience, ideal for families with kids, for friend groups and couples. Not sure if dogs are allowed though. The ticket is worth buying the day before for a small discount. A must see!!

An amazing experience in the heart of the Poble Espanyol in Barcelona, 7-10 minutes walk south west the Magical Fountain. Stroll calmly in the alleys of the area, have a beer and tapas in its tranquil terraces and enjoy the the different experiences and museums about the Spanish traditions and the view of the city of Barcelona from above.

Do NOT visit after 6:30pm. We felt completely scammed out of our 10.50 euro each (student ticket). We arrived at 6:30, nobody informed us that the museum of art would close by 7pm. We got to the art museum at 6:40 and the staff ushered us out regardless of it being “open” . We returned to the entry point to ask what time the museum closed since we specifically came for that and they said 7pm, when we asked why we were not allowed entry then, no one could answer us and they tried to dismiss us, saying that it was an “extra” to the open air part anyway. When they realised that we would have not paid had we known the experience would be so compromised, after a 15 min discussion they offered us tickets for the next day. We told them we won’t be in the city then but they refused a refund. We said that’s okay but at least they should inform the families just entering and they said they would but we saw two families pay full price without being told. I should clarify by saying that this place is worth visiting for photos however you must be very careful about the time if you actually want to experience anything because the staff will not absolutely not inform you of closing hours for the museum or shops or restaurants unless you specifically ask and will gladly take your money.

In my opinion maybe the most magnificent part of Barcelona. You can feel the spirit of Catalonia and Spain itself like nowhere else. You can learn a lot of the history of each part of Spain by many different and interesting ways. Interactive rooms, short films, architecture, way of living and so much more. Definitely must visit place. We had the chance to visit it at night time. Ticket is on half price, because there is only one or two shops (of MANY), one bar and one restaurant, which are still open at 9 p.m., but it’s still worth it, because only this way you can feel the magic, like you’re all by yourself, lost in some small old village somewhere in Spain and it is indescribable experiance! Definitely I will come back again at day time, when I have the chance to visit Barcelona again.

Great place to visit and learn about Spanish culture. This place was created to show how each part of the Spanish region is different and lives. There is an awesome Flamenco show you have to experience (for an extra fee) within the walls of the village. This show is a can't miss! They are awesome and you get a glass of sangria to enjoy with it!

A great place to visit while visiting Barcelona. Condensed into a small village - it shows the architecture and lifestyle of people living within various regions of Spain. There’s a great viewpoint where you can see the entire city of Barcelona as well

Extremely poor experience. Because of the epidemic, a lot of activities are not open, but they charge the same price. Then some buildings replaced sculptures with paintings. Walking down the streets of Barcelona and eating local food, you can experience more Spain than here

Biggest surprise of Barcelona, had the place to ourselves pretty much in the middle of July on a beautiful day. We went in the morning and it was deserted so highly recommend. Everywhere was open with lovely cafes and cute independent shops. Such a lovely place for a wander and had lovely reconstructed buildings. Didn’t quite know what to expect but it was amazing!! Had the best tapas I’ve ever had in Spain too there at a very good price. They were setting up for a concert too which I imagine would be a great experience in the square.

A tourist scam. This was the biggest waste of money during our Barcelona visit. We visited the Montjuic mountains and cable cars, so we were visiting on the way down. It was €15 per adult entry into the village. We thought there would be some charm and character, which there was none. They still had some Halloween decorations up, which we thought would be interesting. Unfortunately, I didn't know what was creepier, the deserted fake village or the decor. We decided to go to the infant park as we were travelling with an 18 month old. The park is not designed for younger children. There was no pushchair access, and the slides were too big, with unsafe steps to access the slides. There are so many more places you can visit that have genuine charm and character. Don't waste your money and time visiting. We left within 20 minutes feeling frustrated that we wasted our time and money, along with an upset toddler.

The Poble Espanyol is an open-air architectural museum in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. It was specifically constructed for the 1929 Barcelona International Exhibition. It is nice to able to walk amongst the buildings and get a glimpse into the insight of Spanish Villages. It also has a theater, restaurants, artisan workshops and a museum of contemporary art. Definitely well worth a visit if you are visiting Barcelona.

Poble Espanyol is an attempt to recreate a "town" which has traditional elements from all major regions of Spain. Built in 1929 for an exposition, this museum of sorts consists of exhibitions, buildings, narrow alleys, restaurants with enough information about tradition and the area of Spain they represent. While it is open until 3 am with discounts for entries at night, try visiting a little earlier to ensure exhibitions and cafes are open for you to indulge. Not a must-do, but definitely worth visiting if one is in the area and has a couple of hours to spare.

A model Spanish village built in the early nineties after some architects studied a lot of village towns in spain. An overall idea of the Spanish regions and there are some boutique shops and restaurants as well. Good for a day out, when it’s busy. When we went it was quiet on a Saturday afternoon. The entry price is a bit high for not much to see.

I can only recommend this place. Do not miss it! You get to know the different architecture style in the different areas of Spain. Extremely interesting is the multi media exhibition of several spanish traditional rituals. The exhibition about how Poble Espanyol was build is also very interesting - from the idea to the final result, fascinating. Not to mention the private collection of hundreds of paintings of famous artists, ceramics from Picasso, statues, all great. And you get to see all this for the price of one ticket! The shops inside are also very nice.

What a lovely quaint village in Barcelona. We got to visit Poble Espanyol in the middle of summer when it was really hot. I would have preferred a slightly cooler temperature to enjoy strolling down the streets. Plentiful tiny shops and cafes. Lovely architecture with enough information. If you have enough time, definitely worth visiting.

I do not agree with some of the negative reviews. I had a great time here. First of all, its super inexpensive and this place never advertise itself more than what it is This is a replica of many part of Spain and provides an interesting glimpse into many remote parts of Spain and its vibrant and beautiful culture of which one might not be able to visit. Spain is a fascinating country and I am glad I was able to experience some of it here and we did not regret the visit.

It was an interesting place to visit. Nice replica buildings from all over Spain. The information signs allow you to read about the history of each building and the time that they were built, which is very nice. It would have been nice to be able to see them inside or to see how traditional Spanish houses were decorated. The stores are also nice. You find a lot of handmade things. If you visit all the major sites (Sagrada Familia, parks Ciutadella and Gűell, the castle in Montjuic, Casa Battlo, the Zoo, the Aquarium, the Barcelona Plaza, la Rambla, the El Born and the Gothic areas), you've walked all over Barcelona, and have a couple of hours to spare, the Spanish village is a nice addition. We took lots of pictures and bought a lot of nice handmade jewellery. Although I wouldn't consider the Spanish village "a must go site", I think it is worth visiting if are in Barcelona for a few days!

Mixed feelings, the idea is smart but they didn't make a good job not in every section at least, because there some areas pretty cool that you can really travel back on time and some others that looks like ghost city. Ticket are ok but food inside it's nothing super ouoaou or traditional! If you have a car and you had the time to see most of the things in the city then traveling to this village sounds like a nice idea

I loved this place. It looks so real and full of attractions. The suggestion would be to get a ticket for any event (they organise concerts and expositions) and go. This way, most of the time, you save money, as they are cheaper than the ticket for the attraction only. I love the part dedicated to Andalucía and the one with the monastery.

A nice and quite space (during Winter) to visit during at least an afternoon to enjoy the space at its upmost and taking your time. Restaurants and cafes on site but seem expensive. You really have an insight into Spain, its different regions, traditions, and architecture. As a bonus you have access to a contemporary museum which offers an interesting collection and nearby the Monastery you can enjoy a beautiful view on Barcelona. Though, the quality of the audio guide could be better in term of explication... Book your tickets online to save some money (+/- 10%).

We had a nice visit. The buildings really look like the other parts of Spain. You can learn a lot if you take your time. There are spectacular views of the city from there including Sagrada Familia in the distance. There are some good restaurants for paella and some shops for shopping. Was able to get the jewelry native to Toledo for good prices. If you go to Barcelona and won't have time to visit other parts of Spain you should visit Poble Espanyol.

(Translated by Google) It is a truly picturesque place, it is a place that brings together the traditional and most recognized architecture of different towns and cities throughout Spain, starting with the replica of the walls of Ávila, which serve as the main door to the Spanish town. Inside you will find, in addition to the traditional architecture of Spain, small galleries, restaurants, shops of artisan products and excellent quality souvenirs, as well as restaurants and convenience stores. You will find the replica of the stairs of Santiago, Iglesias de Zaragoza, among other multiple sites. Definitely a place to spend the whole day with the family. A tip: Entering the Spanish town has a cost per person, but, if before visiting the place, you make a reservation to eat in one of the restaurants that are inside, the tickets are free for all those who are included in the reservation It will only suffice to show it at the main entrance.

After an international exhibition in Barcelona, it was decided to build Poble Espanyol on the mountain of Montjuïc, it is a mixture of Spanish architecture, crafts and cultural wealth. Almost a century later, Poble is a living reflection of the soul of a country and an open-air, traffic-free venue, ideal to enjoy with family, couples or friends. They do family shows, parties, monologues, concerts etc. (See program on website) But it is devastating in these times that we go through, on a Saturday night to see it so empty, it is sad and sad. It's a nice place in general but there is a restaurant called La Oca right in the entrance that is a disaster!!! It's rated 2 starts and the complains are all the same: unfriendly staff, slow service, bad quality food, expensive, cold, etc etc etc This is a big rip off for tourist! I just wonder, how is it possible that a place so well recognized and very touristic allows this type of restaurants to even exist?? If you are visiting, I strongly recommend you to check the reviews of the restaurants before having such a bad experience. At the end you want to visit the Poble Espanyol and don't spend 2h on a table waiting for food and fighting with idiot staff.

I loved this place. We visited 4 years ago on a cruise ship excursion and have wanted to come back since. This time we had more time to explore and soak in the atmosphere. Lots of restaurants and cafes, little shops and now there is a modern art museum (included in the cost of admission). I think it's well worth a stop for at least 2-3 hours.

Hidden gem in Barcelona! We came here upon recommendation from a family member but we had not come across Poble Espanol in any guide books so I’m here to say GO HERE, do not miss this! Especially if you have come to Spain to stay only in Barcelona , this is a must-do because you are able to experience other regions on Spain all in this one village! The informational and educational signs and experiences are wonderful, there is a large video experience that shows you holidays and festivals celebrated all across the country. There are small artisanal shops and the complex includes an aquarium. Your ticket gives you full access and an unlimited amount of time to see everything, I would’ve spent all day there if I could! Really wonderful initiative from Spain’s tourism office and I feel lucky to have gone there!

A very nice experience with a lot of information about other parts of Spain. I really liked the exhibition of Marine creatures, for 2€ it was definitely worth it. I also liked a lot the video about the fiestas through spain. Food was very ok for not so much and it was really nice just go through the little streets and through what was open. A lot of little stores weren’t open though. Definitely a family place with a lot of activities for kids.

A beautiful, sprawling estate with tons of family and tourist friendly activities. We set just before Halloween, as can be seen from the decorations. They have tons of artisan and food shop, as well as two museums that you can enter (some Picasso works too). Overall, a fantastic photogenic experience. The Go City pass gave us a free entry, but even paying fees on the day makes this experience worth it.

It's a very beautiful place although it's small. I recommend this place if you have spare time on your trip. There can be too many people if there is a festival. Our backpack was almost stolen. So, just be careful and look after your stuff if there is too many people.

I had an unforgettable experience watching Khruangbin at this amazing venue. The architecture is stunning and the atmosphere is electric. I queued for over 3 hours but it was worth it to see both Ride and Khruangbin. The management did a great job of handling the large crowds and the venue was packed to the rafters. The vibe and atmosphere while watching Khruangbin was truly unforgettable. It was an amazing experience to watch such a talented band in Barcelona historical place.

So I came here mainly for the parasol exhibit I saw online. They had taken it down for a Halloween exhibit🙄 However, I explored the rest of it and found some cute little spots and some vegan options at a restaurant insife but It did seem to me that the attraction was for a younger audience. Great for families and children. Reminded me of the little towns inside Knotts berry farm in California.

Beautiful! I have no other words. The little restaurant is a must. I had a little pot with melted cheese and mushrooms and 3 tortilla wraps 🤤🤤 it was amazing. The waiters were very friendly. Then we had a walk through to the art gallery to see some work from Salvador Dalí. As you walk through the village there are so many beautiful little shops but the chocolate shop is also a massive must!!The ladies in there let you taste all these mouth watering choccies...Needless to say I walked out with 3 bars lol. I had a fantastic day here and would definitely visit here again, and hopefully with more time I can spend here.

A bit of a strange place. Doesn't really seem worth it for 15 euro unless you visit and enjoy the art museum part. Otherwise you are just paying to enter some shopping streets and restaurants/bars.
