The racism was so severe. Asians reading this, never go to the BAR. For over an hour and a half, everyone else drank their drinks, even everyone who came an hour later than us. We waited almost two hours and in the end there was no drink so we just had to leave. The other staff at the hotel were friendly. But these horrendous memories of the BAR with my two kids made me decide never to come to Santa Susana in the future. I will share this experience with everyone around me. Do you know if it could be the giant butterfly effect? Oh, the meals were fine. Except for the one hundred people waiting in line for breakfast in the morning.

I spent two weeks here with my family, and it was always pleasant. Every evening, starting from 9:30 PM, there's something happening on the terrace, like live music or other performances, which continues until 11:00 PM. If you want to sit on the terrace, make sure you're there by 9:15 PM, as the tables tend to fill up quickly. The drink menu offers a variety of options for wine, beer, and cocktails, but unfortunately, there's nothing on the menu to enjoy with your drink, like snacks. Breakfast was enjoyable every day. I particularly enjoyed having bread and eggs with bacon. We tried lunch only once or twice, and it was alright – a decent selection, but nothing extraordinary. Dinner was a highlight, with a wide variety of options. It's busy and lively. The menu changes daily, but some items like pasta, fries, and pizza are available every day. To my surprise, they even served 'Kipcorns' on one of the days, catering to the Dutch visitors. The pool area was beautiful but quite crowded. If you arrive later in the day, you might need to grab a sunbed at the bar upstairs (solarium), as those are usually the only ones available. The animation team is enthusiastic and active throughout the day. They mainly engage with the children, but they also organize Aquagym sessions during the day, which are quite fun to join, sometimes even with the whole family :) The rooms are well-maintained, with towels replaced daily if left on the floor and beds made anew every day. If you run out of toiletries like shampoo or hand soap, you can ask for extras at the reception, and the cleaning staff will restock them in your bathroom the next day.

We booked 2 rooms here for 5 nights and it was a disappointment for both families. When I first checked in I was helped by Laura at reception, she seemed quite frazzled and not friendly at all as the check in was insanely busy and chaotic. She probably gave me the WORST room in the hotel. It was located on the 1st floor directly in front of the elevator doors. Let me tell you first of all the walls are paper thin and you can even hear the person in the next room snoring so being in that room was so horrible it sounded like being on a freeway with the hundreds of people passing through and loud carts etc being pushed by. They shouldn’t even use that room at all. The rooms are also quite small and very dated and not clean at all. When I checked in I asked if my room was nice and she nodded and said it’s ok and it’s all we have left. I almost felt like it was a bad joke on me when I got into the room. I requested on the same day for a room change and a new front desk person helped me (she was quite lovely). The room this time located on the 4th floor was quite far from the elevator so much less traffic passing through was a lot better. Still not clean inside but the noise level much better despite the Paper thin walls in this hotel. The buffet even though the line up to get in is super long is actually quite organized and the food quite good. Staff in the restaurant were efficient and well organized considering how many guests they had to deal with. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. Overcrowded and definitely not a 4star hotel. If it was advertised as maybe a 2 or 3 then it would be expected. Such a disappointing experience at the aqua marina Santa Susanna hotel.

Good Hotel, downside was the rooms are old fashioned and you can hear everything each noise. The indoor pool and fitness aren't included you have to pay. Restaurant is good, good variety of food fish, meet and fruits. No complains on that.. Hotel is nearby the train station that good and walking distance to Malgrat the mar and beach and boulevard.

If you are looking for a hotel and spa experience, then look no further. I have no complaints with Aqua. Rooms were cosy supplied with mini fridge, TV, bathroom supplies, etc. The in door spa was amazing and spacious with multiple temperature pools. A sauna and steam room. Massages are available as well. The outside pool is certainly colder in September but still great for relaxing or joining in with water aerobics! Sun beds are out to get a nice tan on, too. The hotel serves all three meals of the day or if you prefer, some nearby restaurants are available. There's a lovely beech just a short walk from the hotel as well! Overall, I had a fantastic week here. I would definitely go again.

I was very satisfied with our stay at this Aqua Hotel. In particular, I would like to thank the excellent staff who were extremely friendly and helpful before and also during our stay. Thank you! The lobby and buffet restaurant area are modern and appealing. The meals were tasty, there was always plenty of choice and the breakfast buffet includes drinks such as orange juice, coffee and tea. At lunch and dinner you can order drinks at fair prices. The organization of the restaurant and meals was very good, you hardly had to queue and the food was refilled instantly. The hotel bar is also appealing. Evening entertainment was varied and stopped in the outdoor area around 11pm. The pool is medium sized, but was hardly used by the other guests in September, so you could swim a few laps alone in the evening. The beach is about 5 minutes away, has somewhat coarse sand, but great waves and a pleasant water temperature. The surrounding area is nice though touristy, as the hotel is in a hotel zone, and has many small souvenir shops and other hotels nearby that offer evening entertainment. Right next to the hotel there is a large souvenir store with an integrated supermarket where you can buy many kinds of drinks and snacks. You can also take a day trip to Barcelona by train from Santa Susanna for 11 euros (the train ride takes about 1:10h each way).

Has a beach 5 mins walk away, hubdreds of shops, the actual hotel has kids club, spa, 3 indoor pools, one outdoor pool, restaurants, and sauna! Even shows evwry night. Expensive but well worth it!

Wnet for a week, family of 4, out of season, in April 2023. I'm one of those who don't usually leave reviews and when I do it is usually to warn others. This is not the case. The place is lovely and I believe it reflects the 4 star rating. What stands out is the staff and the quality of food. Both above the 4* rating. Everyone is attentive and deals professionally with any requests. Went for half board and I was not disappointed. Food extremely varied and off menu drinks reasonably priced in my opinion. The only complaint is the size of the room, fond it small for 4 people and that the room was too warm and unable to adjust the temperature. Small complaints, the week went off just fine. Thank you for a pleasant stay.

The only let down is that smokers are pretty much inside the building when you sat inside at the bar. I don't mind smokers but it does smell of smoke in the bar which isn't the best smell. Just a couple meters more outside and it would be better

Great view from the balcony but only with some good luck. It was such a shame that the menu didn't had some spanish dishes but overall really tasty. One thing that was pretty annoying, was that there were only 2 outlets, 3 if you count the tv with. I enjoyed it very much. Shoutout to the swimmingpool! SHOUTOUT TOO KIKE!!! He deserves a promotion! Give him some tips!!!!

Had not been here since honeymoon in mid 00s but was impressed as venue seemed cleaner, tidier and a whole better level. Staff whether on Reception, Restaurant, Bar, entertainment, cleaning or facilities very warm and professional. Food and drink could not fault, and room was clean and turned down every day. Enjoyed our stay end of June such that we are looking to visit again in September.

This would be rated as a 3-star hotel in many other countries. Rooms are outdated, furniture is old, walls are dirty, cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired. No hot water boiler in the room. Not much variety at the breakfast buffet, which is the same every day. Location is ok and staff is nice, but if you'd like some quality, I'd recommend finding a different place.

Restaurant: Fresh fruit, fresh Juice, Gluten free bread, nespresso coffee, and enough choice to eat. Quality of mattress and beds were okay. Specially thanks to Olga, Miquel and Nicole from the restaurant for your smile and your welcome power every day. Thanks for good stay. 🇳🇱 NL

We went on a one-week family vacation to Aqua Hotel Aquamarina. The week flew by and we were very happy with the accomodation. The room, pool and chill out room were all very clean. The only downside were the beds, which weren't that comfortable. The people at the service desk were always very friendly and helpful. We also really appreciate the animation team which organised a lot of activities throughout the day. They all did a great job and brought a lot of enthousiasm en energy. The mini disco was great for the children, but the adults enjoyed it too. The evening shows which followed after the mini disco were from great quality. Thanks a lot to everyone working there. We really recommend staying here. We probably will again in the future.

The worse thing about this hotel was the room. The bed was below expectations. I don't like bathrooms with showers over a bath. Too hard to access and slippery. In todays world who can't use a descent walk in shower. The upstairs toilet flush sounded like a waterfall in our bathroom and woke us up at night. House keeping was poor, used towels, toilet paper, body wash, not replaced. Sheet left folded on the end of the bed to fit yourself. Long hair (we don't have long hair) inside the shower/bath. Floor mopping was poor. The food buffet and drinks service was good and we did appreciate some of the entertainment. We were surprised to pay additionally for the use of the lockbox in the room as these are in most hotels provided free. A number of services appeared not to be available.

Just had a 10 day stay mid-August and the Aqua marina, and overall had a great holiday at the Hotel and Santa Susanna is a nice resort on the costa brava to explore! We went at a busy time of year, but the staff were busy keeping the guest feed, watered and entertained so well done! The room was just what we were after (for an older kids family) but yes the beds were a bit hard (after reading other reviews!) and need a good stretch in the pool most days to work out the stiffness. (Aqua aerobics was good to this!). Also some nights there was some partying going on late into the night which did wake me up on occasion. Feedback for the hotel: For high season we paid a good price for the visit but did have some concerns with the charges (Water with a meal etc). (And with a marketing and design background). So an idea would be giving water away with a Dinner meal etc and providing water in the hotel rooms when you arrive (we arrived late at night etc) Given its a 'Aqua' in the name this useful but not too expensive product placement would enhance the customers experience...(Plus during our stay must of spent 60 euros on water with our evening meals). Plus also we visited the onabrava hotel one day (asked at reception first) which was a lovely break and this could be advertised into a nice day out for customers, and to use other facilities in the area.

First and foremost, I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of my stay at this hotel in Barcelona. It was absolutely splendid. The rooms were clean and spacious, equipped with a mini fridge. We even had a balcony with lovely views of both sunrise and sunset. Additionally, it was just a 10-minute stroll away from the beach, with malls, restaurants, and entertaining shows nearby. There were plenty of touristy activities to keep us engaged. I definitely wished I had more time to explore everything. Buffet: Regarding dining, the breakfast buffet was served from 8 to 10 am, while dinner was available between 7:30 and 9:30 pm. The buffet offerings for both meals were exceptionally delightful and incredibly tasty. Travel: In terms of travel and transportation, do keep in mind that the train journey from the hotel to various destinations took approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes. To reach the airport, the journey was even longer, lasting over 2 hours. However, there were a few different routes you could take. Unfortunately, due to some delays, we eventually resorted to taking a taxi. So, it's important to be mindful of the time it takes to travel anywhere. It's easy to get caught up in the city's allure and then realize you'll only have a minute left for dinner. Hahaha! Nevertheless, the people were kind and accommodating. Furthermore, the restaurant remained open until 10:30 pm, which was truly amazing! In Barcelona, they have double-decker bus-like trains, although we only used them once at night. Nonetheless, they were incredibly cool and well-maintained. Entertainment: As for entertainment options, this place had it all. There were tapas bars, music venues, game and leisure rooms, spas, gyms (further down), archery, shooting ranges, and more. They catered to families as well, so there was something for everyone. Spa & Gym: The access fee for the spa and gym was €10-20 per person, and there was also a €10 cash deposit required for towels and locker keys. You'd get the deposit back upon returning them after use. The spa area was absolutely beautiful, featuring Jacuzzi pools, a sauna, a cold pool (maintained at 14 degrees), a hot pool (at a toasty 42 degrees), a steam room, and a nice pool at a comfortable 24 degrees. Moreover, there was an awesome encounter with many sportspeople (possibly related to a bodybuilding event by the IFBB). It was an enjoyable experience. Additionally, they had a large saltwater pool with varying depths. The changing rooms' showers were equipped with good pressure and hot water. Soap was readily available, and there were hooks to hang your belongings. These small details truly added to the overall charm of the hotel. Service: Regarding the service, all the staff members we encountered were friendly and helpful. However, it's worth noting that the hotel doesn't have heating. If needed, you can request thick and cozy blankets from the reception to keep warm during the night. They are heavy and warm. Additionally, for a small fee ranging from €25-40, you could book a few extra hours after the check-out time. This proved to be quite helpful on our last day, allowing us to enjoy our stay without any worries. Noteworthy Comment: Overall, I absolutely loved this hotel and would highly recommend it. I only wish our stay could have been longer. The only downside was the distance from the city, but thankfully, there were transport links available such as trains R1 and RG1. On sunny days, the RG1 route provided stunning panoramic views of the beach and coastline. Furthermore, it had toilets onboard (although we only spotted it running on Mondays and not on Saturdays or Sundays).

Very good place to stay. Far exceeded our expectations. Great customer service at the reception desk and the restaurant. Hardworking staff at all levels, always ready to assist. Very clean room and very clean hotel overall. Excellent breakfast and dinner. Fresh food and very good variety. Restaurant staff very customer focused. Close to the train station. Would definitely return again. Highly recommended.

Great and beautiful accommodation with a very large courtyard, beautiful swimming pool and very clean. The latter is thanks to a man, who always puts the beds and tables straight and clears up the mess that guests leave behind. Maybe a tip for the coming guests, to clean up your mess immediately. Saves that hard worker a few hours. Every evening, until the next morning, the pool is emptied to the bottom with a device. Also the breakfast is super arranged. You are neatly escorted to a table. Not to mention, the front desk Very helpful and fast. This hotel is a must with capital letters.

This was definitely worth the visit! The location is amazing! And the area is super clean , super fun and extra charming! We only enjoyed the breakfast one day as it was very busy and crowded but it was nice! The bar was amazing and the nightly entertainment was so cool, fun & well done! The pool was excellent too! We would recommend & our lil traveler loved it too!

Worst 4-star hotel i've been to! It looks kid-friendly, looks like a nice spa...but you cannot use it, only for two hours, scheduled by them. Kid cannot go in, but outer pool is not heated.... Safe lock you need to pay for - 4 euro per day👎👎👎 don't choose it, unless you want an aparthotel without real services...

My Room number 2334. Agency confirms a big bed and a sofa bed. But its only 2 sofa bed. Room are good acceptable but need renovation as roofing of bathroom are not in good condition. Breakfast having good and huge verities but in dinner you have to pay for drinks. Drinks are expensive here.

you will not be safe here, I was towed because I trusted the instructions of the receptionist, I asked 3 times and asked for parking, I agreed to pay parking and finally 145€ police + 28€ hotel parking. They don't even apologize and don't care. such a shame Stayed a week, the hotel is nice and friendly, the staff is pleasant, the hotel is well maintained, all services are paid for, spa, gym, water, etc. ... Good insulation, you can hear everything, wheels in the hallway, chatting, moreover we would think we were at summer camp, because a lot of cars with young people for a tournament, problems mixed with them, must be excited to have a minimal calm! The food is really not terrible, too industrial and always the same, and the water is not attached, I find it abused, moreover, the same thing, you have the impression of being in the canteen, too noisy oh.

I had a great stay with my football team. Nice hotel in charming location and with great service minded staff. I have some allergies for example and they helped me really much with that. They were super professional and really nice people too. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The staff are wonderful, the food is very good, plentiful and varied each day. My only gripe is that ‘full board’ should include a drink with each meal in my opinion but this is charged as an extra, even water. This aside, we had a wonderful family holiday on a budget but this hotel well exceeded our expectations and we would certainly return. Thank you and well done.

I do not recommend this hotel at all what a waste. It has paper thin walls so you will hear every person that walks by your door. There is no drinks during lunch and dinner so you have to pay for water and other drinks. Food is cheap and mass made. Not worth the money plus extra expenses that comes during your stay here.

Further to my last entry. Day 2 here and I have now had 3 room cards. They keep blocking out.. apparently your mobile phone wipesthe data. After the first one I didn't keep the card near my phone. Low and behold we are on key card 3. It's a pain because the hotel, staff, and atmosphere is great.

IN many ways a nice hotel. Big rooms, good aircon, good parking but it is way way overbooked. Endless queues to the restaurant, the elevator, reception, half empty buffet because staff cant keep up etc. Could be a niceoff season hotel.

4th visit and always brilliant. Stayed in suite lumiere which is our favourite. A lovely hotel with great food served at breakfast and dinner. Has a pool which isn't heated but with sun out, it's a lovely dip. We always use the spa as it's included in our room and has lovely indoor pool and steam room. Overall a place we will return and one of the best in Santa Susanna.

Arrived at the hotel at 23:50 and they let us have a snack in the restaurant, very helpful and friendly staff but the room was not cleaned well, there was dust everywhere and one day they left the clean towels on the toilet seat!! The restaurant was good and clean and food was ok, but the annoying part is that you can’t choose were to seat, the waiters decide were you must seat. No free drinks on lunch and dinner, not even water! If you want to drink water you must pay over 2€ for 0.5L and all drinks was expensive in my opinion. The pool is small compared to the size of the hotel. Other than that the hotel is good and near the centre of Santa Susanna.
